Kelinik - how big were your previous babies? I guess it's reassuring to know that baby will be a good weight if he/she comes early tho :)

    Baby number 1, girl 10 days early 8lb 2oz
    Baby number 2, girl 7 days late 10lb 9oz

I am 5'6" and quite small framed so number 2 was a shock to say the least. I was aware before we started trying for this one that it was likely to be even bigger and I've said so right from booking in but as I don't have GD and everything else is fine I'm trying not to worry too much. Had a much worse time getting baby 1 out anyway!

Nikkit really hope bub comes soon, feel for you I really do.

Smartie I would call the hospital I think, just for sanity's sake.

    Hugs all round. x

EA - thats good to know thanks. I can always feel baby girl moving just cos there is so little space it gets uncomfy. replacement pads for the lloyds machine ar eonly 6.99 but if your buying new then like nikkit said you wont need them.

1more - poor you with all those teeth issues, really hope its all on the past for you now x

kindof - I want sweet n sour now, but no way OH would eat it so no chance. Oh and the tens are fab if you wanna keep it as drug free as possible.

xmas - pleased visit went well and yeay for toilet repair lol. Your night in sounds fab too :D

smartie - fingers crossed its nothing major, like I said I had lots of spotting early on and have had 2 hospital stays due to bleeding but all is well here. The girls are right tho nag your doc or take your self off to A&E.

Sammy - woohoo for team pink :D Oh and I started buying small stuff years ago (4 years I think!) when I was still trying for baby, but had ordered alot of the big stuff by 12 weeks :D

gym - yeay for meeting Alfie and doh for muslins, do you have any at all?

Pokey - big boo at your MW busy is no excuse, you need to stand your ground x But lots of labour vibes for you in time being x

Nikkit - tell your lil man from me "GET A MOVE ON", big, mahoosive, huge labour vibes for you.

Well picked up the sample bottles LOL, and then went to Sainsburys and Tesco to nosey at their baby events. Decided we dont need anything else but was nice to get out again for a while. Did get fresh cookies at Sainsburys tho Mmm :D Oh and I took the crutches and still ended up uncomfy and in pain grrr. looks like no more adventures for me till bubs gets here :(

Kindof - Your curry sounds lovely, where did you get the recipe? I am eating like crap lately, living on take-aways, chippy, supernoodles, crisps...I really wanted to try and keep the weight gain low but that's not looking likely unless I get a grip!!

Nikkit - Sorry to see you are still about...iykwim;)

I am so tired today, but apart from that I am feeling great:j

Its from Ken Hom's Quick Wok book, you need Thai Green Curry Paste (2tsp), Rice Wine (1 and a half tbsp), Fish Sauce (1 tbsp), Lime Juice(1 tsp), Sugar(2 tsp), Chicken, Cocount Milk (400ml), handful of spring onions sliced up, and 2 tbsp ginger chopped small

Cube your chicken and cook it, then basically you just add everything lol,, I add the coconut milk and curry paste frist and give it a good mix, then add everthing else, then it just simmers away while I cook the rice :)

Thanks xmas :) we did think about that, but we have an ancient boiler so arent sure how much cover would cost? we should look into it really lol

LOL EA I think I would fall down the stairs walking like a crab as well lol Awww I hope you get some thai green curry at some point, just let felix starve lol. Sounds like a good plan with pain relieft, is that tens from lloyds? I will have to check it out, I really think I might get one, I am going to ask on the parent thread as well

I know I htink that too, I can see belly move but I cant feel him and I am like eh, how is that lol

Som I thnk I do, I keep flipping between wanting it to be drug free and then thinking !!!! it Ill take all they want to offer me lol but I think maybe I should get a tens to at least see how I can do?

Aww Som well hopefully bubs wont be too long if you are getting really uncomfy now

Kindof go in with an open mind do try the tens machine they really do help some women. you may find you wont need anything but that and gas and air or you could end up going the whole hog and having an epidural you just never know until your going through it.

With the last one i managed entirely with tens and gas and air until the last 20 minutes then it just got to much for me and i begged for pethadine they gave it me but wish they hadnt as it didnt take effect until after bubs had come out mind you it meant he slept for a good long time after the birth so i could get my head down too i suppose there is a silver lining to everything :-)

  • LOL thats classic!!!

She was just so matter of fact about it! It was just so funny! :rotfl:

Heads up on ASDA sale stuff ladies!! I was in my local ASDA and they seemed to have loads of baby clothes half price!!! Which seems to be fine if you know what you're having - most of the reduced items were either pink or blue, the only neutral i could see was a 0-6month sleeping bag for £5 down from £10... so i bought it! I'm sure i'd have spent a fortune tho if i did know boy or girl! lol They also seemed to have a reasonable amount of ladies/mens and kids clothing on sale too, must be getting ready for summery stuff i think.

I appear to be getting the cold. Coughing all day and now got sniffles, also, i ache a lot from the furniture building yesterday...
think i'm meant to stay in bed tomorrow! yeah!!

    off to bed now,
    nite!

    Hello ladies :)

I'm sorry to put a bit of a downer on the thread but I'm looking for a bit of reassurance:o

I've had some bleeding today (10+2) and went to the docs. He was some old bloke who I haven't seen before with an oh well can't do much attitude and no offer of a scan referal. He did say to phone back up if I had anymore bleeding which I haven't, but I have had back pains.

You have to have a referal to go to my local EPU.

I know lots of ladies on the TTC thread had bad news but I was hoping that someone can say "yes I've had bleeding around then" and everythings fine.

I've been chatting to my lovely FB friends from the other thread who have been great:A but I just wondering if anyone here had similar experience??

Smartie - I had bleeding with my dd when I was 10-11 weeks pregnant - scared me to death but the dr was great and got me an appt at the EPU that same day. Thankfully everything was ok. The EPU could see no reason for the bleed and did say it might have been caused cos we had bd day before.
  • Just wanted to say a big thank you yo Gill for the voucher!

Labour vibes to those in need x x

  • Just had a quick read back and I notice that peeps were talking about nipple stimulation/pumps to bring on labour. I was told that this shoud only be done if recommended by MW since it can put baby in distress.

    Oooh quiet evening/morning!

Well finally watched One Born Every Minute last night with OH, about half way thru he announced that he wanted to slap the lady who was being induced lol. Is it bad that I was reminded of Vicky Pollard from Little Britain by the other woman! God I really hope Im not like either of them when I go into labour....eeek!

38 week appointment today at 12, hope the urine sample is better today! Just wracking my brains if I have any more Qs for her, this could be my last chance. Then off for Nursing bra's hope there are still some in the sale at work.

maureen - yeay for Asda bargains, and boo for cold, hope it doesnt get too bad x
