Morning,
I was just about to save us slipping even further off the 2nd page, but GISI got here firstIt's soooo quiet in here at the moment!
Hope everyone's ok this morning? Just watching GMTV & looks like there's been snow in loads of places, so pleased there's none here
EA I know a couple of Lily's, don't think it's massively popular though? according to the Guardian, it was the 8th most popular girls name of 2009Some of the names on there are really suprising,
Congrats on your little girl Sammy :j We started buying properly after 20 weeks, clothes wise, as we knew the sex. Though we picked up a couple of bits before. The pushchair & cot were about 26/28 weeks I think, solely because they were good deals, would've waited longer if they weren't
Kindof you inspired me to make thai red curry last night, it was gorgeous how was yours? We were gonna go out for thai on Saturday night but not so sure now, might be a bit of overkill!
Lots of labour vibes for Nikkit if the little fella isn't here yet, x

sorry to but in ladies as i am coming over from the parent thread..
hope all you mummies to be are doing well
kindagirl you posted about the TENS machine and i wanted to reply but wasn't sure if it would get lost on the parent thread, so i thought i would pop in and answer you hear if that's okay.
i hired a TENS machine from Boots. i used mine as soon as the contractions started getting uncomfortable and i used it solely until i got to hospital (actually i left it on there whislt they did the initial examinations etc). when i got to hospital i was 9.5cm dialated and i only used the TENS machine to get to that point.
so i was quite happy with mine. i will admit though, that at times i dont think it helped with the pain, but the distraction of turning it up and down etc was beneifical.

I only used a TENS machine for most of my labour. I thought it was great. Apart from that, I used gas & air with one shot of pethidine (but that made me really sleepy).

Morning girls!I thought I was going to queue jump last night,I was getting regular contractions every 10 mins,so took some paracetomol, they were getting worse so I did a few star jumps (not easy when you have spd:rotfl:).Then at 3.30am I decided to try to get some more sleep.Went back to bed and woke up this morning-all pains gone.Sigh.I'm glad I didn't ring my parents to come down and look after dd,I wd have felt really silly for making a fuss.:p
Labour vibes to all those who want them particularly Nikkit and LMF:)
I used a tens machine at the hospital with dd and it was great. It got me from 2cm-6cm before I moved onto gas and air.I don't really have a birth plan as such, just going to go with the floo and decide at the time what I want.:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010
