There was one on the shelf when I went in, only a small Boots. Used a double points voucher and 100 extra points on the nappies too. So quite a good deal really. xxx

Haha CAFC give him a good shove :D
I know it's a really mean thing to say but it does my head in when OH goes for bump in the morning when I'm still sleeping (he leaves the house at like half 7 - I do not want to be awake!) & chats to him

My mum's just reminded me that I was given a Skip Hop changing bag that clips on the pram, so now I don't 'need' one as such :( Is it bad to be a bit sad that now, buying my beloved bag would be a real total waste of money?!

Just compared my 26 week bump with 35+4, can't believe how weeny it was at 26 weeks!

  • Hi everyone,
Kindof - hope you're enjoying your last day?
Yorkygirl - I've got the changing bag. It's quite nice, but I wouldn't have paid £19.99 for it! I wouldn't worry too much about nappies. As Gymfiend says, the shops will still be open, so as long as you've got some, you should be fine. It's not a bad idea anyway to wait until bubs is born, as you may find that you can only use a certain type of nappy - I found that with my daughter! Huggies and Pampers didn't agree with her, and the only ones that didn't seem to aggravate her kin were the Naturals ones.
Nikkit - sorry to hear that it was a disturbed night, but certainly sounds like bubs may be thinking about making an appearance - good luck with the midwife.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Think you may have to buy and try them kindof, I honestly cant remember. They will let you return them if ther not right tho. Matress should have their sizes printed on them save you measuring.

Yeah its just the mothercare is way out of the way from where we live and we are going to be near it on sat.

Im confused about their cot sheerts now lol Its a flannelette flat sheets a 2 pack which are 120cm x 155 cm but all the reviews on the site say they are too small? yet my matress is 120cm x 60cm thats totally not too small?

(((hugs))) NIkkit I hope something happens for you soon, good luck at the MW

Gymfiend - it is thanks, its going too slow though lol it could do with going quicker, I am here till 3.30. That was like me, he was head down the whole pregnancy then last week turned breech, he did turn back though s a few days later

Yay Meltdown I will check it out

    Morning CAFC

Gymfiend I cant see your pic from work I will look when I get home

Well OH has !!!!ed me off and put me in a mood, the last 3 weekends he has popped to his friends house to see him and ended up being there for 4 or 5 hours at a time.

Now there is nothing wrong with that you say, he is just seeing his friend, which is true except that he smokes hemp while he is there, he used to smoke it and I used to smoke cigarettes but we both quit well he has taken to going to his friends for the odd one

He cant see what is wrong with this as he isnt buying it, but what is getting to me is that he leaves me in teh house by myself, I dont know ANYONE where we live that I can spend my evenings with when he is at his friends

And when I question him about it he just says "I just want to see my friend what is so wrong with that" well there would be not as much wrong if that was the case but I know its not, if I still let him smoke hemp at home (in the garage where he used to) he would NOT "nip" to his friends house every weekend!

Not only that but the last two sundays he has been away ALL day playing with his remote control car to random places

I tried to explain to him that I am already worried of being lonely when I am on mat leave before beany is here, and does he think its fair that my weeknds are spent alone as well?

Sorry for the rant but its getting to me! he cant keep doing this! it worries me to tears that he will want to do this when beany is here

And the most annoying thing is, I know he just wants to go to smoke hemp cos he doesnt invite me along anymore (I wont go anyway cos the lodger who lives at his friends smokes in the house even when I am there, thankfully his friend is nicer and doesnt but I dont want to take that risk and I dont want to be there when OH is smoking hemp)

I wanted to have a night in and a chinese with OH tongiht to celebrate mat leave and all his response was "well you can order one" yeah great and celebrate on my own

    Fabulous!

can you sell the other one to give you some money toward new one?

Sometimes its nice to be buy something "new" for baby. Ive started thinking that, as everything we've got has been charity shop, ebay, or paid for by my parents (to who i am eternally grateful) but now Im just thinking maybe I'd like to spend a bit of money on something with some longevity, which is for all of us, like a change bag......

doesnt help that i goggled change bags LOL

Oh Kindof hun, I dont know what to say...

I dont know your OH, but it does sound like very selfish behaviour, and he's going to have to accept that he wont be able to spend all weekend out when the baby is there, and to be fair he'd be better off cutting down (and then off) from the hemp now before baby is here...... otherwise its gonna mean having new baby and withdrawal all at the same time.....

I think you should be really honest with him and just tell him, he needs to cut it out. If he wants to see his friend, he can bring his friend round to yours, but theyre not to smoke. Plus you need to make the most of the time you've got together before little one arrives, (as all my books keep telling me) so that your relationship has the strength and resilience to put up with sleepless nights.....

I dont think sometimes that men appreciate that life will change completely. Mine in particular just thinks a baby will get added to our lives, and Im thinking No, the baby becomes our life, and everything we are changes, because we have to be completely selfless for this new life.....

I'm thinking...I'll keep the Skip Hop one for putting on the pushchair so I don't have to pass it around with whoever is looking after him (i.e. my parents - they so wouldn't appreciate a Stella McCartney bag haha), then use the proceeds of whatever I sell on eBay these next few weeks to buy the bag I want, provided I make enough :p I've resisted for sooooo long but just keep going back to it and lusting over it!!

Just pm'd you Kindof, hope it helps a bit?! Hope my baby takes some lessons from Elliot & moves himself back into position by Monday or he'll be in big trouble!
