It would take him 90 minutes to get home, but he wouldn't be abe to leave early so he'd have to finish the shift first anyway. We do really need the money and otherwise tomorrow he wouldn't be working at all. I'd also worry about him driving home trying to get to me quickly.
He's only been driving a few months so to be honest it makes me a bit nervous when he drives a long way on his own anyway. Dunno why though really cos he drove us back all the way home from Scotland in November and was fine.0 -
My DH is a very safe, experienced driver but I still worry about him going anywhere that's a long way off and we have an unwritten rule where we text to say we've arrived safely at our destination if either of us is doing anything out of the ordinaryMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

OMG I can't believe that woman said she wouldn't marry her partner unless they had a baby girl! Shocking.0

I feel so sorry for her poor husband and four boys. You can see in her eyes the favourtisim towards the girls. So shocking that she refused to marry the poor guy.Must make him feel v loved! And those girls are going to be spoilt rotten, tis a shame.
I'd love to spoil my dd more (what mum wouldn't)but I refrain 'cos I know it's not good for her.:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Gratuitous bump pic, 37+4, but I think it's dropped since then. Will get DH to take another tomorrow if I remember and you can all see if you agree...

Thanks. I have thought boy right from the start but would be more than happy with either (although I may feel a bit silly if it is a girl as I have even gone so far as to buy some boy clothes
)
And I am getting impatient now!! I am glad we waited. I have in my birth plan that I want DH to check the sex and I want him to be the one to tell me, and I think that will be lovely0 -

maureen - sorry your having a rough time finding mat clothes! I'm a size 16/18 but alot nearer 18 I think atm and I know some of my pre pregnancy clothes still fit me now even with a huge bump, so have a good rummage through your wardrobe. I thought I might be ruinning them but they wash up fine and saves money
thanks Som, I'm normally a 24 and because i lost a lot of weight earlier on in the pregnancy I've not had to buy anything up to now. Just been wearing what i've had and a few new tops (just cos I wanted them, not from a mat range tho, just longer to come down over bump and bum!).Maureenjscott-Do you happen to have a mamas&papas outlet nearby. My local had maternity wear on sale from £2 to £12.OH got me my cardigan/coat for £12 last week and they had most sizes.Dotty P's might be worth looking at aswell although I'm not sure about sizes.
Thanks Sonee, dont have an outlet nearby and because i dont drive its difficult to get to out of town type places. Getting to Livingston Outlets on Monday tho, so will have a look around there and see what they have. DPs mat range seems to go to a 22 online, but i'm not sure i'd get into them and you dont seem to be able to get the bigger sizes in the shops here - seems like the bigger sizes go first! lolI can recommend Asda for cloths up to a 22- it is my favourite shop for maternity stuff. Also, I have some non-maternity long tops from places like peacocks and I managed to get some lovely stretchy black trews from Primark for £3.88 in a 22.
Thanks KT! I love ASDA for clothing too but even the bigger asda in the next town, they have a mat range but had nothing in a 24 last nite when i was in. Have been buying longer length tops from there and managed to get their 'smartprice' jogging trousers for £3!!! just for wearing about the house!
I just feel like with 8 weeks to go i dont want to have to spend a fortune on clothes for myself! I need to get a new bunkbed for my two kids when the HIPG money comes through, they badly need that. Am thinking I might try to alter a couple of loose fitting skirts i have and see if they will maybe do me.... that is if the snow stay's away!!! argh!
Thanks for all the advice on here guys, I really appreciate it.

Hi lovely ladies, this really is a great place to pass the wee small hours reading up on your days - thank you
I am totally shocked by that womens behaviour in the second hand shop - how very dare she speak to you like that!
Watched the 8 boys wanting a girl programme last night. I honestly don't know what I'd be like in the same position, but I suppose I wouldn't get that far with such horrendous pregnancies I'm stopping at 3!!!! And I really feel blessed that I have one of each, but I don't know any different, I'd probably feel blessed whatever I had - not finding out what I'm having this time either, I'm glad of the surprise. It's like an extra special gift at the end of a terrible pregnancy, it's my treat IYKWIM!
I'm debating whether to have a 4d scan to help see me through the next few weeks, I honestly feel cheated and wish I could have enjoyed this so much more.
Couldn't feel the baby move much yesterday afternoon and evening, think that's why I'm awake now I was so worried. Been up for an hour and having a few little tingles down there but no big rib kicks like usual - do you guys get in a panic too when all it quiet down there?
I've started two weeks holiday which is lovely so I can play catch up at home and on here so speak to you all soon xDS 17 yearsDD 16 years DS 5 years
