We will both get thereI CANNOT WAIT
As soon as we are debt free I want to get married, then aim for mortgage free (we have a 99k mortgage as well lol)
Ah cool thanks redstarcos I would like him to have had some interaction with other children
I can't wait to be debt free either, we have quite a lot of debt (Approx £25k)
But we can't get a mortgage which is a shame, we'd both love to own our home instead of having to rent. I hate the waste of money that renting is, but also that we could be asked to move out at any point and I don' want to move again!!!awww thats really sweet...
i think theres only a few little bits i'll keep, whatever is still good after baby has had his fill, I'd like to give to someone else....
Im resigned and quite happy to admit this baby will be the one and only baby..
I have already decided I want another child, but DH insists we have to "see how we get on with this one" first before we can consider any more!! I know he'll want another though. (Watch this space ha ha!!)
My fish n chips were lovely! Got home and had a bath and now just chilling on the sofa.0 -
And CAFC, as others have said, it's perfectly natural to worry about how good a mum you'll be, but the worrying shows you will be good.
Today I was thinking to myself how I don't even know how to dress a baby - that's not covered in any of the books I've read!
I also didn't know whether to buy baby shampoo or body wash or bath cream *confused*0 -
Oh and a word of warning to anyone considering a trim down there once you get to the stage where you can't see what you are doing - be very careful if you use hair scissors as they are very sharp and if you accidentally cut yourself it bleeds A LOT!!0
-
from what i read, it says water and cotton pads are best for cleaning baby to start...
On Baby&Bump someone mentionned they use a solution of chamomile tea, olive oil and lavendar essential oil when babys bum is sore/nappy rash etc.....
It took me a while to follow any of the photos in the book i have from the library on attaching a nappy. Someone else recommended getting a doll, and practising putting on nappies, clothes etc.....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Dunno about anyone else but that made me "kegel" LOL oh well that means another kegel done for today :AWealth is not measured by currency0 -
SJ - we want another child too and are in same situ as you with debt and lack of mortgage. Hoping council will come through for us at some point, but wont hold my breath! Hey ho I can live in hope tho hehe. Oooh ouchie scissors!
CAFC - we have a dog too and both me and OH recon her first word will more than likely be the dogs name and not mum or dad lol. MIL says she has visions of the two of them sitting under the Xmas tree eating chocs! Harvey is really instinctual just hope that caries across when bubs is here, but like beenie would never trust him (or any dog) alone with her or any other small child. To that end as we dont have a garden we have installed a baby gate across our bed room and porch and will use a travel cot instead of a moses basket for downstairs, all just helps split the house down a bit as its quite open plan. Alot of the baby stuff we have allowed him to have a good nose of and built way in advance so he gets used to seeing it too. Hoping if hospital stay is long enough to let Harvey have a muslin thats been with bubs so her smell isnt so odd to him.
Right off to bed now, gotta wake OH from his spot on the sofa first tho, wish me luck sometimes it takes a while lol!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Even using a razor is quite tricky! :eek:I am 36 weeks on Thursday and have not been able to see 'down there' for ages. Thought I'd try and give it a trim with a razor and....it wasn't until my husband came in from work later that he said it looked like I had butchered myself. The hair was nowhere to be seen in some places and loads in others. I think I will just ask him to do it for me!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My trapped nerve is still evident, although I can ignore it at times.
House work is getting harder, although the husband is not so great at doing it for me so I try and then my back kills!:mad:I have a great job which I adore :Tand it just means going up and down stairs all the time at the moment and the back is fine but it's getting home and having to do all the housework that is frustrating!!!! He'll learn!!!!:mad:
Can I please ask a stupid question? People talk about bedding for the babies but what bedding should you have in a moses basket and then...what bedding should you have when you move the baby to the cot?
Thanks everyone!!:jBaby Bump born 4th March 2010! :kisses:

Gordon doesnt go upstairs which has always been the rule, and he only gets up on the sofa when hes being naughty  or when he's invited...:A
Good thought about the travel cot for downstairs though..... i think there is one in the asda baby event for £25?.....
Hes so far had a good sniff of my bump lol.... and he was sitting on my lap, leanig against bump and baby gave him a good kick.... which perplexed him, and was hilarious to me......:rotfl:Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

It's not the putting the clothes on that worries me, just what clothes to chooseLike, do I need a vest with a sleepsuit if s/he's wearing that in the day?

Thanks everyone!!:j
I did that a couple of weeks ago, tried to tidy up but just made a mess so went for a wax last week!! I just needed what was left trimming a little. I'll get DH to do it next time!
Bedding - think you need a sheet for the mattress (you can buy fitted or flat moses basket sheets), then a sheet for over baby, and blanket(s).
This is what I'm doing, please someone tell me if this isn't right!!0
