    Morning :D

Yeh I always put a vest on first before sleepsuits,outfits...etc.
I used to swaddle my 1st in a blanket at night time but I think I'll be using a sleeping bag from the start this time. Won't be just using sheets tho, apart from on top of sleeping bag, as he'll just end up kicking them all off and waking at silly o'clock, lol :)
I've got parents evening on Monday evening at my sons nursery,he's only 4! Didn't realise they did it that young, lol :D

Hi, not much to report here, other than I think bubs is eating my brain. Made myself a cuppa this morning and I put sugar in it eeew. I've never ever sugared tea, so goodness knows why I did that. I also lost my keys the other day, only to find them later on wrapped in a tissue in my coat pocket !!!!!!!

On the subject of dressing bubs, I too am scared. Poopy bums I can cope with from having a ton of small cousins. But, I always avoided dressing them cos to be quite frank, newborns scare the bejesus out of me cos they just seem so fragile. However, there is a lady that does YouTube tutes on various baby-related things. Dunno whether it would be useful or not, but her channel is ToriKropp. There's probably more if you Google 'dressing a new baby/ born'. Wow, epic post, sorry!

SJ - rule of thumb is whatever you have on, plus a layer. So if you have a t-shirt on, baby will need vest aswell, top and jumper, baby needs both plus a vest. I always put dd in vest with sleepsuit, but then she's 5 now and I still make her wear a vest with her pjs in this weather lol

    I agree!

Nightime is always a short sleeved vest, sleepsuit and a sleeping bag. I've only had to put a blanket over him a couple of times when it was really cold a few weeks ago.

Daytime is usually either a short sleeved vest, long sleeve t-shirt and trousers or a long sleeved vest, jumper and trousers if it's colder.

Sarah Joanne -The nursery is lovely. I need to start on my baby room, I was considering a winnie the pooh theme which will suit boy or girl(I don't want to know the sex). The room is bright pink at the moment so if it turns out to be a girl I'm going to regret redecorating afterwards.

    Cute nursery SJ!!! :):)

Our nursery is half ready we just need to get some furniture inc cotbed for it. We are using it as our room at the minute but it was redecorated (cream walls at the top and mocha at the bottom) with a new arrival in mind :) Weve looked in Mothercare and Ive looked at various sites including Kiddicare but would prefer to see and feel it in the flesh before buying and not sure where else to look - we arent too blessed with shops to go to where we live.
Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!! :D

Oh and a word of warning to anyone considering a trim down there once you get to the stage where you can't see what you are doing - be very careful if you use hair scissors as they are very sharp and if you accidentally cut yourself it bleeds A LOT!! :o

Tell me about it! I had a quick shave last night and i have that razor that has the soap attached to it, and when i looked the white soap was red!
I cant see anything anymore now anyway, its all guesswork :D
I would do the mirror thing, but my eyesight is so bad i cant see the mirror properly unless i have my contacts in. But i cant wear them when im in the bath/shower/swimming pool :(

Going for my indian head massage & facial at 3pm :D Im really excited :D

The baby moved into a really weird position earlier, usually she lays on my left side with her legs across to my right side, but this morning i laid on my back and she had moved to the middle and upwards so i had a tiny little lump which was her bump and the rest of my bump was all squidgy and a bit flat :rotfl:
  • Aww, nursery looks lovely SJ.
Just to add my 2pence worth about the vest debate, I too always put each of my bubs in a vest whatever they wore, not only does it keep babies warmth in but they are a god send for keeping nappy in place!
Hope you're feeling better today Cafc.
    :)
