well i never really wanted more than one kid anyway LOL
And then with losing one, and how rubbish i've felt with this pregnancy and how i think its amplified certain personality traits of mine, i dont think its fair to the family i'll have to put them through that..... which all sounds a bit cryptic im sure..... but i just dont think i could pyschologically cope with it all again...
Have decided that if i see midwife on my own next visit, i'll explain a bit more about my quirks.... i didnt really have the opportunity on last visit, not because DH was there, he knows all about them and tries to help, but because it seemed a bit tick box-y and rushed....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I wanted 4 children before I had my dd and fell ill with fibromyalgia. Now I will settle for 2 'cos I know i couldn't handle anymore due to energy levels etc.People kp saying to me 'that's what they all say' but I'm serious,no more.
I can see how you reached your decsion too.I wd defo try to explain your 'quirks' to your midwife as she may be able to offer better support or at least try to help put your mind to rest a little. My midwife knows about my fibromyalgia and has put it in my notes as I may nd a bit longer in hosp to recover from the birth:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Cafc i didn't really do anything to prepare the dog tbh. I spent the later stages of my pregnancy snuggled up with the dog all day so i did worry about her feeling left out. But i actually kept her locked away anyway cos she came into her first heat (same age as your dog) and it wasn't ideal to walk her cos she runs off, just aswell really cos the snow was horrendous. Now that she's here i've let dog sniff her, and told her to "settle" if she gets too excited near baby. Have taught her not to go upstairs or on sofa, and only let her in the front room for a few hours on a night and i make her lie down otherwise she'd be bouncing all over the place. She's okay, i don't think she feels too hard done by. If she does, then it's just tough
As long as i know she's getting enough exercise and love then i don't feel too guilty. If my ex was still around she'd still have the same life as before, but i can't risk having her wandering the house all the time, in case i put Amber down and the door goes, etc. My dog is very gentle but i wouldn't trust any dog with baby.
Oops that's not quite what you asked is it? :rotfl: I have some safety gates, she has her own little cupboard so she stays in there or the garden if she's not with me!0 -
lol no that was what i was after.....
now dog is older he's capable of entertaining himself a bit more, but i was worried because he was so used to it all being about him..... like you said though, they soon get used to the new pecking order.....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
My cat seems to come alive at night and bomb it rd the house particuarly our bedroom. We have a stair gate on our dd bedroom door,to stop her disturbing her.We tried shutting our bedroom dr but she spent the whole night scratching the carpets and the door. very nearly had cat pie for tea that day :rotfl:So we are going to get a stairgate fitted to the bottom of the stairs so she can't get up.Most cats cld jump it but ours is fat and lazy so it shld do the trick. She is generally placid but has scratched dd a few times but only when deserved! It must be a whole different ball game with dogs as they are so much bigger and bouncer generally.:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Beenie - would you reccommend the Barnaby Button chair that you had? I'm thinking of getting that one for my little one. Also, if you don't mind me asking, has the evil ex been to see Amber yet?Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
