CAFC - you'll be fine and dont forget not long now and you'll be able to claim your HIPG and then all them car boots will have lots of bargains and before you know it you'll have everything you need. I know you probably want lots but babys need very little, and love is the most important thing.

Sleeping bag wise we have quite a few now and plan on using them from birth as long as bubs is above the min weight. Will use blankets to layer up too if not warm enough.

EA - have not been able to bring my self to watch marley and me, I read the book a few years back and blubbed at that. Am not really a tearful person but animals, especially dogs do get me.

Mermaid - not quite toffee chips, but have you tried cutting up fudge for baking?

Well not much happening here, been bored at work all day! And now soooo tired, OH is cooking the roiast we were supposed to have last night and am really looking forward to it, house smells lush :D

    thanks hun.
I think its just a lot of things being a bit overwhelming at the moment, and im desperate to be in our own house, plus with toothache, im not doing much during the day, so going a bit stir crazy etc....

Will just maybe wait and see how fat Little L is.....He'll be in moses basket to start with in our room....

And sounds like dinner was yummy, i love duck!!

It was gorgeous :) I'd never had duck so it was a lovely suprise that it was so tasty lol :)

I bet you find a lovey house soon, I wish we lived a little bit closer, then I'd drag you out the house lol

Agutka - I too hate that, I havent been to the breast feeding antanal yet but I hate how easy people say it is, cos my mam had trouble, she waned to breast feed both of us but we wouldnt latch so she couldnt, and back in the 80's I dont think there was as much help?

Convent - Are you going to find out which team you are on?

SJ - YAY for the nursery being finished!!!! my mam is going to make us a roller blind using the excess curtain material we have, once thats done his room is finished YAY

And I am jealous of your 11 hour sleep, beany seems to use my bladder as a pillow lol so I am at the loo A LOT lol

EA - MArley and Me is the WORST film to watch ever nevermind when your pregnant (I got so upset when they had their scan and then obv the end lol)

    And your welcome :)

LOL at a wrinkly SJ LOL

Well I have spent hours today working out our pays etc when I am off on maternity leave, I know I am luckier than some as I get full pay for 6 months, but it had me worrying that we couldnt cope when I went onto SMP (as we have a lot of debt we are clawing our way through) but then my genius friend suggestes saving the tax credits and chb we will get till SMP starts

So I worked it out (£20 chb and £20 tax credits a week) and that pot would build up to £1500 by the time my smp starts, and I worked out for 3 months we would be £400 short a month for bills, but we would have the £1500 in the pot yay lol

Then I am off in december for 4 weeks on Annual leave full time wage so we are cool for this year :)

So then I thought I better work out next year when I am part time and am going down to 3 days a week, I lose £300 a month and have childcare costs of £160 a month (would get beneifts of £160 a month till baby is one then it goes down to £120)

Anyhoo we would only just have enough money to pay bills and nothing extra, OH doesnt like the sound of that, so we are now having to consider asking MIL if she would have baby 2 days a week therefore we wouldnt need to pay out £160 in nursery, (my mam has baby 1 day a week and me 2 days a week)

I didnt want that, I wanted beany in nursery a least one day a week so he could interact with other kids, but like OH said if it leaves us with NO extra money a montht then thats no good?

On the plus side as well once I am back at work there will hopefully be overtime on (which I can make £100 a day on)

I so wish we didnt have as much debt but we do, its a long road, but I think we will be rid of it by 2016 which when I think of it in terms of Elliots age it isnt that bad, he will be 6 and then we can all start having wicked holidays when he can actually remember it

Wow sorry for all that, I just had to get it out lol

Well ladies, I'm still here - I know it's only 3 days past my due date but I'm already fed up of people telling me to 'get on with it' and ringing up to see if there's any news. Don't folks think we'll tell when we have something to tell!!!

Got an appointment with the consultant tomorrow so hopefully I'll be offered a sweep which might get things moving. I don't want to have to have to wait another week before they consider an induction.

Sending big hugs to tinkwings - I can appreciate what you're going through but just take each day as it comes. It is hard but it does get better. PM me if you have any questions.

    Regards

Kindof - totally sympathise about the debt, we have an IVA that isnt due to fiinish till LO is 6! Its scary but will be worth it to be debt free eventually. Like you we pay off huge amounts each month, but only have full pay for 10 weeks so have had to suspend it for a while till I restart work :( Hoping we can re negotiate it when I have to return to work, but cant work out finances that far ahead! MIL will have LO 2 days a week when I return as again like you cant afford child care but am sure she will still be socialised fine as both me and MIL have talked about taking her along to clubs. Can I ask how you worked out you can save £1500 in 6 months am rubbish a math and probably missed something but am liking the sound of saving what we can.

Could I have some advice please girls?

Just doing my tesco onlineshop and they have tommee tippee closer to nature easy vent bottles 150ml half price, 2 bottle for £3.59. Is this a good price and are they worth getting?

I am planning to breastfeed but want to express so OH can feed also. I have one 150ml bottle that came with my breastpump and 2 bigger bottles that came with my steriliser.

edit they also have the 260ml bottles 3 for £5.49, also half price.
