For those wondering about non constipating iron tablets, the floradix is brilliant but try to get tablets (they are hard to find so I order them online) but seriously, the liquid is FOUL to take, I was nearly sick, and then had to waste the whole bottle as I couldn't take anymore. The tablets have no taste at all. Also Spatone is quite good, it is a liquid and you can take it in orange juice as vit C boosts your iron absorbtion. I am normally quite aneamic (vegetarian) but surprisingly in pregnancy my iron levels are fine, must be as I'm not having my usual heavy periods I reckon.

Good luck finding something that works, it is a nightmare feeling like you are in a haze all the time.

    afternoon all

only just got out of bed, had a really bad night, either crying with the whole "im a rubbish pregnant woman/gonna be a crap mum" or the ruddy toothache.... was awake at 5am.... and then set myself off again thinking if i was in my own house i could at least have got up and watched a dvd or something....and then i just got annoyed with myself and finally fell asleep at around 7am after everyone else had gone out.
DH starts his job today, poor soul has to walk all the way there as our car is totally broke and still in kent, and my dad drove us back last night, god love him...

Keep looking at baby scan pictures and feeling so guilty for our baby, i just want to be able to do so much more for him, and i just dont feel like i can....

  • Hello :D

Couldn't sleep well at al last night :( OH seems to spread himself on my side or I seem to get an elbow in my face...and i just wanna spread out on my tummy, but can't...booo... :)
Well got little man to nursery and waddled back and went on a mad cleaning spree...dusted,hoovered,mopped...now everything smells of bleach...eww :S Picked up little one after lunch and he decided to make a dart for it...so there i was running and holding bump pooping it for england. Warned him when we got back and now he's sat in his room reading his books, knowing he did wrong...but will it sink in,lol. Nightmare!

CAFC, don't worry I'm sure you'll be a great mum!!! The fact that you're worrying about it shows that you'll do the best you can, just remember that nobody is perfect and you will cope with anything thrown at you. On a vaguely spiritual level, you will only get as much s**t as you can handle ;)

Also noticed you're due basically same time as me, must be something in the current hormones, coz I've spent last week crying over ridiculous things knowing that they're not worth it!! Or better yet, for reasons I don't even know myself lol

I always think I'm a rubbish mum, but dd has informed me I'll be a good mum to baby as I am to her bless her heart - hadn't mentioned a thing, she picks up on it so easily though!!

lol I'm ridiculous for crying when pg. Over xmas I had oh and dd staring at me in amazement as I blubbed through homeward bound 2... because the dog DIDN'T die!! think it was worse with dd... I cried at the Kitkat advert when the tortoise couldn't roll over.. got me everytime! yet may be something in it as she has to have her Kitkat's now, right hissy fit if she has something else in lunch box instead :)

jeremy kyle may be pushing the boundaries though ;)
