Could I have some advice please girls?
Just doing my tesco onlineshop and they have tommee tippee closer to nature easy vent bottles 150ml half price, 2 bottle for £3.59. Is this a good price and are they worth getting?
I am planning to breastfeed but want to express so OH can feed also. I have one 150ml bottle that came with my breastpump and 2 bigger bottles that came with my steriliser.
edit they also have the 260ml bottles 3 for £5.49, also half price.
i saw them in wilkinson for £3.79 with slow flow teats and thought that was pretty good.
What teats did these ones come with?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

would you be able to still get money toward childcare if ur mil has beany?
we dont qualify for any childcare help, the £20 for the first year (which then goes to £10 a week once they are 1) is something everyone gets if their eqarnings are under 60k

Aww Som we are kinda the same then, in it for a 6 year haul lol(ours is about 34k total)
Just if I save my £20 CHB and £20 tax credits a week from when beany is due till the week my SMP starts it equals £960 by the end of the the SMP we will have £1440 sorry got that the wrong way around, so the benefits will be £960 at the start lol

EA I had the GTT test and was told to fast from the eve before 'cos I had a 8.30 app.I had to bring in a 500ml bottle of original lucozade to drink. They took my bloods then they measured out the drink and I had to drink it,then I was left for approx 2 hrs.Midwife then came back and took more bloods, but did get me a cup of tea and a biccie 'cos by then it was gone 10.30am and I was starving!lol.I never heard anything back from the results so I was fine.

hi everyone, it has taken me ages to catch up as i was away for the weekend but i've managed it!
thanks for your comments on home births and for the websites, i am working my way through them! from what i've read it seems like the "cascade of intervention" theory is quite true.
SJ I will be interested to know how you get on with the birth pool!
I have been feeling a lot less sick  and i actually managed to make tea earlier which is just as well as my DH's school found out today they have OFSTED on Wednesday and Thursday this week
feel like a beached whale now though having eaten. I have a bump already but i'm not sure how much is baby and how much is just the result of snacking, and i'm feeling really uncomfortable like my skin is really stretched already, which does not bode well for the next 6 months...0 -
no it got knocked off my list, as a not totally necessary purchase... :rotfl:
Hows Amber doing?
We should sort out coffee and cake soon
I bought one of these at Tesco for £25 yesterday (only cos it's got lights lol).
Anyway we're not really using our original one but she likes the animal noises so i'm going to hang on to it for a few weeks, but i can drop it off to you when we're done?
It's this one, and it's got a good bounce setting as opposed to vibrate, something my new one doesn't have!! Oh there's only 2 bears though i got it off ebay.0 -
Hi everyone,
Kindof - I know it's no good initially, but you may want to look into the Government grant funding for childcare. In my area, from the term after the child turns 3, we can get up to 15 hours of free childcare. I know in some areas it's only 12, but I believe that in some areas it applies from when the child turns 2. It's no good now, but it means that you may be able to enrol him in nursery in the future. You should be able to get details from your local council's website.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

awwww hun, bless you thats really sweet.
If its not needed etc,am sure it would come in handy. Let us know how much you'd like for it
As for the feeling pants thing I know baby just needs love, food, and shelter rather than matching bedding etc, but its actually that part that was freaking me out a bit as well.... like just what im gonna be like, in terms of patience, how im gonna get other things done, how not to worry constantly that baby isnt goint to die/get ill etc..... Its probably just the whole being totally responsible for another life.....
I think its a by product of my personality quirks because its not something i can predict/research for..... its an on the day thing.... which freaks me...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
