    Happy birthday EA :T

Kindof - I wondered that too about gill :D

Tell your OH to get a grip :p hehe, what did he expect it's painful :rotfl: Nothing you can do, he's not exactly gonna run off when it's you doing it, he'll be too caught up in the moment to worry about it.

Clotheswise, Amber had 2 early baby sleepsuits which i mostly had her in for the first few days cos they were a good fit, then she's been wearing newborn (9lb). Only now at 4 weeks i'm thinking i might need to start on the 0-3, but she has some nb 11lb that still fit, she weighs about 9lb now. So i think what you have is fine, but i have about the same amount and ran out once, cos she did an explosive poo which went all over her clothes :rotfl: Don't buy anymore though, they're not in them long enough lol.

I didn't bother with muslins but i've been using an old pram sheet to put under boob while she's feeding for dribbles, so probs should have, i'd reckon about 4

I was gonna take 10 nappies to hospital, and that bulked my bag out enough - hospital will give you some if you run out or OH can bring some. I started on the wipes straight away pretty much, but she got a sore bum (pampers sensitive) so i changed to cotton wool, hospital will want you to use that anyway and will probably provide it. But some people start on wipes and don't get sore botties.

And, don't stress :p I'm so jealous, i wish i could do it again - and as soon as i'd given birth i wanted to do it again cos i loved it so it can't be that bad.
  • Hi,

I'm just 6 weeks, previously had 2 miscarriages, and had a bad night with being up in the night feeling the urge to wee all the time, about 10 times. Nurse done a dipstick test and it's all clear. I know this can be a symptom of early pregnancy. Did anyone need to go this much and any tips with coping with it as I'm shattered this morning.

    Morning all,

Not caught up in a few days & not sure I can, so will do a quick one!!

Happy birthday EA, the charm bracelet idea is lovely & the bedding from your grandma is so sweet :D

JHA congrats again on Orit, she's beautiful, she looks so tiny! Can I ask what she weighed? & hope all's going well now you're at home with her?x

    GemmaE Jessica is gorgeous :D

Mr AB - we have the Joolz from M&P, it's sort of similar to the Quinny Buzz but higher up. Sounds like it might fit your requirements? My favourite thing about the whole thing is that you can get a car seat for it that reclines, so you can move baby from car to pushchair and then lay it flat, rather than transferring them for quick trips. :)

Gill fab bargains @ Babies R Us!

CAFC I barely ate a thing before 12 weeks, and even now am really particular about what I will eat - I was never like this before! OH moans at me as it's not good for baby, which is always thought enough to make me eat properly (and put down the biscuits!!) :)

Som is your boiler being sorted today? What a pain in the bum :( Yay for paying off the baby bits & getting them though, exciting :) Your nursery corner is really lovely :)

MV hope you manage to get a scan today & all goes well, xx

Kindof glad you had a lovely new years dinner :) & well done on the cheap shop! We used to spend £100+ a week in Sainsburys on food, switched to Tesco and rarely spend over £100 a month now (though to be fair I was working a lot of hours at the time and never cooked from scratch), I write down what I've spent though so if ever either of us fancy a takeaway we can think no chance, it costs as much as X many days food :D

After all the dog advice...any got any for my cats? I don't want them to hate the baby, they're a bit queer tbh, don't really like anyone except us and often snarl at other people!! They like to go in the nursery and sit under the cot which I let them do from time to time so they don't feel pushed out?

I'm really struggling to sleep at the moment, found myself sat in front of the TV watching some rubbish til 2am, so now absolutely exhausted. Has been the same the last few nights & I'm not sure why. The worst of it is that when I'm sat up like that on my own I start worrying about stupid things - last nights worry was 'why is OH going on a stag do when baby will be 8 weeks old', ridiculous given that I told him to go, have no problem with him going at all, but then suddenly I was thinking why would you want to leave an 8 week old baby, why's he going etc. Then got in a beef with OH who was fast asleep, and have now woken up annoyed!! Hoping it's just preg hormones, don't want to turn into a bunny boiler!! Otherwise all's fine, 33 weeks today, 7 weeks to go and counting, woohoo!
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

when i had my op at 16 weeks pg , you may not of been on here when i was explaining what had happened , anyway cut a long story short , i had to have a ovarian cyst drained due to its size 8cm x8cm x4cm , it was a very scary time as not sure if my little man would pull through :o, but he did and 5 weeks to go , but after they operated my bowels shut down for 3 days ,, and in hospital i was given , peppermint squash , ( very good ) with luke warm water , take sips of it , take a mug 4 - 6 times a day , all bran for breakfast, raisins, and also you can take lactoluse ( ithink thats what its called ) it softens your stools and helps make them move , i'm not sure if you canbuy over counter , if not go see your GP and get a prescription for this , as its good stuff, HTH,

Off to consultant appointment soon , fingers crossed should be discharged today to enjoy my last few weeks of the pregnancy

pics at 35 weeks , you can see my scar from the op at 16 weeks , a cpl SM , but from my previous PGs, so not to bad going, have used cocoa butter stretch mark moisturiser all way through, unfortunately the scar has got purpler and bigger as i grow , but consultants say its all ok , have to double check with them today about birth plan as MW not sure when i go into labour will have to go staright hospital incase of any compllicatins , im hoping not i want to be at home as long as possible ,
Ordered my tens machine yesterday , 1st time using one , i want to be as natural as possible this time , as i dont want to stay in hospital any longer than i have too, amd withepidural and pethidine you ahve to wait for it to all wear off, with my other PGs i went longer and longer , 3 days 1st , 5 days 2nd ( DS had infection ) , 3rd 7 days ( induced 5 weeks prem and on heat pads and very jaundice), so fingers crossed , in and out with this one
