    Somnium/got-it-spend-it,

The boot thing isn't really a huge issue, as Mrs AB would be able to use my car if necessary.

I think the easy of use, lightweight, pushchair/cot and forward/rear positions would be the main wants.

We've been to a couple of shops to look at different systems and that just caused even more confusion!!! :D

Thanks for your replies re. dogs and babies. Hadn't thought about the scent thing so may get hubbie to bring something home for the dogs to smell.
Haven't watched much telly re. giving birth but may have to now and turn up the volume!:rotfl:

Ok perked up a bit so here are my babies r us bargains

Moses basket - floor sample 'snug as a bug' in green and aqua with a little coverlet was £29.99 paid £15.90. I was supposed to be getting one off my friend's cousin but I don't know what condition hers is in, or when I'm going to get it, plus was going to buy new mattress anyway (which this one comes with) so couldn't resist! It is immaculate as well. They had 2 others in lemon which were really grubby looking. (obv would've washed but don't really like lots of lemon for a boy)

Classic Winnie The Pooh cot bumper (my best find!) Should've been 29.99 but paid £4! I've been looking at the mothercare one for £39.99 as we're doing room in classic winnie the pooh but couldn't quite bring myself to pay that

Love and Adored crib coverlet was part of set at £34.99 but as some of the other bits were missing was only £4. Also came with a crib veil (not sure what to call it!) with it but my mum is going to take the loops off and make a sheet out of it.

2 packs of I love my bear embroidered muslin squares, one with 3 in, one with 2 (one missing) should've been £6.99 each but only £3 for both

Pack of 7 white bodysuits 6 - 9 months only £2 from £6.99 and a little love and adored suit was £1 (showed on till as 19.99 but must have been part of set)

My cousin has also given me some brand new 0 - 3 months body suits that she didnt need for her little girl, along with some hats, scratch mits and booties that she's grown out of (all white)

I'm very chuffed and for some reason getting the moses basket has really made it hit home that there'll be a baby here soon! Only 11 weeks left and work and 15 till bubs is due - pretty sure that will fly by too :)

Hi hun,if it's worrying you then perhaps you need to look at why your being a bit pants at eating.Preg does put you off food a lot ie smells etc,or leaves you craving complete junk like pizza, choccie, takeaways etc.And when we're mega tired it's easy to not bother to cook.I think that's kinda norm, but if your not eating prop on purpose cos you feel outta control or worried about putting on weight then thats prob not so healthy.I have prev had an eating disorder and after having it under control for 6 yrs it reared it's head again at the beginning of summer.About a month before I got pregnant!lol. So I have my health visitor and doc keeping an eye on me after baby is born incase I relapse. As soon as I fd out I was preg I started eating again,it was about the only thing that wd have stopped me I'm sad to say as I was gripped.I sd like I'm falling to pieces don't I?Idon't know why I told you all that,I prob sd like a right fruitcake but I'm not I promise.:o

Thanks hun, and I defo dont think you're a fruit loop. ;)

it would probs be easier (almost) if it was a control thing, linked with my ocd tendancies, but Im actually looking forward to putting on weight, as well as getting bump.
Ive always been classed as underweight, but there was never a reason found for it, just got put down to fast metabolism  but it doesnt look like i am, as im quite petite so i seem in proportion but according to docs I "should" be carrying about 1stone more than I am....:o

It has actually been a pure laziness thing though and I have eaten a lot of junk food. Plus not getting out of bed till like 1am, means that i have lunch as breakfast, and then dinner with things inbetween, but I just know im not eating healthily..... for example today i didnt get out of bed till 2pm, had a cup of hot choc and some chocolate digestives, and then had dinner at 5 of a plate of roasted veg (probs the healthiest ive had all week!)..... but its more the missing out on meals that concerns me because im still asleep and the quality of what im eating.....

I need to try and eat a lot less refined sugar, because my body has now become dependant on it, but its pure laziness.....:o
Sorry to harp on about it, but I know it needs to change so hopefully putting out there might get me some suggestions or just the rude awakening to get my !!!! in gear..

CAFC - MIL gave me some prunes for the constipation, thought they would be horrid but there not and you only need a too eat a couple each day and they do the trick. Haven't been eating them recently but think now am on the iron tablets am gonna have to!

Not enjoying the lack of hot water :( Seem to constantly have the kettle on so can wash or wash up, thankgod the washing machine heats its own water! Gonna pay of the last of our baby plan today and boss has said I can take the bits that are being held in store :D Just need to let our stockroom guy to get them out for me. Think am gonna bring the delivery date for PC forward too as the matress is coming with it and am desperate to get the cot made up now hehe.

  • You sd like my hubby cafcgirl,he can eat for England but is small framed and has a v fast metabolic rate,so is quite skinny.Whereas I only have to look at a banana and I put on 5lb!:rotfl:
It's easy to slip into bad habits if you don't have a routine to follow on a day to day basis.I wouldn't beat yourself up about it.Baby will take all the nutrients it nds from you so if your diet is poor it is you that will suffer not baby.Perhaps this is why you are tired or become low in mood.Just a suggestion.Anyway it's not you harping on,it's me!lol.

My house is a tip when is this nesting lark going to kick in ?!I'm sure it had by now with dd.Hubby says it has kicked in but is been masked by tiredness and physical limitations. Not a bad excuse might stick to it!-I knew there was a reason I married him :rotfl:

Kindof - as far as I was aware the Asda Baby Event starts 19th Jan so Tuesday.

Ahhhhh I see, I thought it was Saturday, like last saturday, I dont think they should sell stuff early, thats not really fair.

I dont think there is anything I want? I mean I know we need stairgates, but we dont need them yet, and if I remember right they had the stairgate at the last event? so fingers crossed will have one at next event?

I mean we have loads of nappies upstairs, maybe we could get some wipes, they are usually on a good deal?

That cheesecake sounds very nommy indeed!

She recommended I call the EPU unit first thing in the morning and try to get in for an early scan, which is what we are going to do. I agree with what you say about seeing the GP..I think they'd probably only refer me to the EPU anyway.

I hope everything goes ok for you and that you can get a early scan xxx

I mostly love my sling though, it is just so easy and bubs is so snuggly in it!

What sling do you have? I was asking OH about this yesterday, cos sometimes we like to go for walls down forest paths etc which arent pram friendly, so we were thinking about a sling or a carrier where baby goes on the back of someone?

Got some fabulous bargains in babies r us at metro centre today

Do you live up here???? lol I thought it was only me and Beenie and now Cafc, where are you? I am in Ashington, Beenie and Cafc are Darlo

Well done on your bargins :) you got some mega deals!! the last two times we were there we didnt find anything lol

Well me and OH watched a DVD yesterday that I got free with a book, and its totally freaked him out lol

I dont know what to do now, it followed two women and one was having a home birth in a pool and one was having a hospital water birth (which I am hoping for if my hospital does) and he didnt like the loud grunting noises the homebith woman was making

And the poor woman in hosp didnt have a good time, it was a long labour, baby was lying funny, she needed an epidural (which I was pleased he got to see cos you could see instantly how much better she was and how she handled it more, she could still move around and change positions on the ned etc) then when the babies head was out the cord was wrapped around his neck twice, he was fine though

SO its kinda freaked OH out and I dont know what to do lol

I've Sky + some more baby things today do you think he just needs to see more?

I've said to him, now get a grip mister (in the nicest possible way lol) I need your supprt lol

But he is all for me having a water birth now, and I know he is open to all the drugs now, not that I want them all but I am pleased to know if I needed them he is ok with it (MIL is someone who had NOTHING and thinks everyone shold be the same, I am of the mind, if you need someting you need sometihng)

    Any ideas guys?

Also how many muslin squares do I need do you reckon?

The DVD did make me freak out about how long I have left, I am 33 weeks today, so could technically go in 4 weeks and I am NOT READY, I am freaking out

I need to do my hospital bag but just cant seem to do it

We got the babies stuff out of his wardrobe yesterday, we got him 5 vests, couple pairs of socks, couple of pairs of mitts, couple of hats, a pram suit, a blanket, and we got him 1 x 6lb sleepsuit, 2 x 7lb sleepsuits, 2x 8lb sleepsuits and 1 x9lb sleepsuit, do you think thats all we need clotheswise?

Then I had nappies and wipes on my list and I dont know how many to take of those??/??

ARGH I am a stress head today!!!

MY BH are getting more often and stronger as well.
