good evening ladies,
Here is jessica, sorry about the problems with the link, thought this might be easier then messing around with my settings.
She is now looking a lot pinker and the jaundice has nearly gone so we are all very happy.
She also (touch wood etc) has been fantastic and only wakes up twice in the night for a feed then drops off again so we are not too sleep deprived just yet.
Hope everyone else is OK

I have a Springer and although she's not territorial, i've kept her pretty much locked out of the way since Amber was born 4 weeks ago. I don't think you can prepare anymore than you have done. Just make sure they know they rank lower than all humans lol.
I've let my dog have a sniff of baby's head, and she knows now to "settle" when i walk in with baby, but apart from that, she's not been allowed to cuddle up on sofa with me anymore like she used to. It's just tough luck, she gets plenty of love and playtime still, just not as much as before.
Plus i don't have a partner to walk her so she didn't even get a walk at all after i'd just given birth for a few weeks (well it was heavy snow anyway and she was in heat :cool:) She had the garden though lol0 -

Hehe, dad just took me to McDonalds
I said i only wanted a drink but ended up having a chicken sandwich meal
And he has given me £200 for my birthday tomorrow
He spent all day in town looking for a charm braclet for me to remember my 21st by but couldn't find any so he's asked me to look and let him know then we can go out and get it together later on
He also bought round some baby bedding my nan bought the baby! Its Mama's & Papa's though, which means it wasn't that cheap and now i feel bad. But apparently she loves buying stuff my dad has told me. She's happy thatb her first grandaughter is giving her her first great-grandaughter
She also got me a massive wine glass with '21' wrote on, i'll fill it with Shleur so i can pretend
My little sister felt the baby move today, she put her hand on me and the baby kicked it and she was soo happy, bless her0 -
Somnium,
Our main "wish-list" is -
* Be colourful, not garish but not dark either.
* Lightweight.
* Car seat included/available, which can fit onto the frame.
* Converts into a pram.
* Able to change from from inward to outward facing.
* Easy to use, mainly easy to put up and down.
* Compact so can fit into car - Mrs AB has a Ka, so not a huge amount of room.
* Include a shopping basket.
* Include a changing bag.
* Reasonably priced. We're very lucky that my folks have offered to pay, but we'd still be looking to get something at the right price.
Initially it will be used mainly by Mrs AB, she'd been visiting the local supermarkets etc. to get small amounts of shopping, possibly going into town and walking around the area we live to get out and about, around a nearby lake etc. We're also considering getting a dog (yep, we are mad!!!), so basically something not to cumbersome.
I'd say it would be used most days in one form or another.

Gemma - Jessica is sooo cute
welldone again.
EA - thats real nice of your Dad and Gran
Guinea - was asking similar q's the otherday ref our dog, he's still allowed in our room for the mo but have moved his bed out and he took that ok, will probably be putting a gate on the bedroom too just in case. He's generally a gentle giant but a bit bouncy so better safe than sorry and it will give us somewhere to put him when MW/Health visitor etc pop by. Someone suggested bringing a blanket or clothing with babies scent home before baby arrives if thats logistically poss, so will be trying that. As for getting used to baby cries, have been watching lots of baby birth stories etc on health channels in the morning and he doesnt seem too phased, tho he will probably be different when she is actually here! Good luck x
Am sooo tired, so calling it a night already, back to work tomorrow but at least snow is all gone now so will be ok to walk in.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

MV - apologies I've been away all weekend or would've replied sooner.
I had brown spotting (which sounds just like yours) at 5 weeks and then at 8 weeks. I had drs ap and booking in ap at around 6 weeks and both dr and midwife told me to go a & e if I had any more, no matter how small. I went to a & e 1st thing on the mon morning after the 8 week spotting and they sent me for a scan with epu. Everyone at the hospital was very supportive and nooone made me feel as tho I was over reacting. Everything was fine and I am now 25 weeks with a healthy kicking bean
I dont think your doctor will be able to do anything and if you are really worried would def advise to go to a & e to put your mind at ease.
Re the clear blue conception indicators it states in instructions that only FMU will produce accurate conception date so you should discount any that aren't done with FMU.
Feel free to PM me for any more info
Hi Gill - thank you so much for your message...it's really comforting to hear other people's experiences. I have read that quite a few women have bleeding in early preg and some throughout, so trying to be positive..I've calmed down a lot since earlier
Had another bleed earlier and there seemed to be a few spots of red in there, so that set me off again. We phoned the hospital and I spoke to a very nice duty nurse who said I shouldn't need to go to A&E unless I was bleeding a lot and in discomfort..which I'm not. Just got a few dull period-type cramps and the bleeding has slowed too.
She recommended I call the EPU unit first thing in the morning and try to get in for an early scan, which is what we are going to do. I agree with what you say about seeing the GP..I think they'd probably only refer me to the EPU anyway.
Thanks again for your post..I'll post an update on the 12+ thread tomorrow XXMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
AB - sorry missed you post. The My 4 would suit you but not sure about it fitting in the car! You'll need to pop into a Mothercare and try them in there to be sure. The My3 is ok too but seem to have a few issues with front wheels atm if am honest. Change bags dont come with many pushchairs unless you stick to mainly Gracos, but the odd one does. I think your big issue will be the car as it will limit you, eg the Buzz is fab and again would suit you but is a lil large. For Everything your asking too it wont be too lightweight, but you should still get a reasonably priced one. If its any help, on the dog walking issue I havent gone for an all terrain model as very few of them will deal with where I walk (small tracks, logs and rocks to clamber over and random steep inclines). So have opeted for a lightweight PC and will be using a sling to carry bubs in those more awkward places save wrecking my PC or buying two. Really would recommend popping along to a store with a good selection of models (not necessarily a mothercare) to have a good play and try in the car, especially car seats as if that doesnt fit bit of a waste of time getting the whole system IYKWIM, Hope that helps xBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Just to add, we have a My3, which we love but it is huge and fills the boot of our Mondeo! I mostly love my sling though, it is just so easy and bubs is so snuggly in it!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

I'm not even going to attempt to catch up but just wanted to say a huge thanks to gemma and jha for posting pics. jessica and Orit are gorgeous and almost make me wish I was having a girl lol.
Got some fabulous bargains in babies r us at metro centre today - they had some trolleys with everything in reduced to £1/£2 or £4. Got well over £150 worth of stuff for £30! Just because it had packaging missing or was end of line or similar. Will post a list later or tomorrow when I'm less tired!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
