It makes the second stage quicker by making your contractions more effective and as I'm already having contractions I don't want them to be too effective too soon IYKWIM
I actually want Izzy to be a few days late because my Mum is flying down from Scotland the day after my due date and if she's here and I go into labour in the night I don't have to worry about finding someone to look after DD.
Your meal plan sounds nice Kindof, I do one every week but we don't always stick to it and things end up getting rearranged
SJ you've been very busy today, you put me to shame lol all I've managed to do is put a batch of scotch broth in the slow cooker to have for lunch throughout the week.Cross Stitch Cafe member 710 -
I was just offering info on what I have been told by my midwife and have read in pregnancy and baby magazines. I'm trained as a beauty therapist and know what goes in the creams and for me I choose not to use them atm. At the end of the day it's each to their own:smileyheaMummy to my lil' man born '05:smileyhea:j Baby boy due May 2010 :j0

Guinea - I can't remember how many weeks you are, but I am 33 weeks and just got my first couple of small stretch marks also under bump, apparently its common for them to show later in PG as thats when the biggest growth and therefore stretch takes place. Drink plenty and moisturiser, but really its all down to genes and cant really be avoided, did your Mum get many? thats usually a good indicator.
I'm now 34 weeks pregnant. I've been moisturising since finding out we're having a baby which I thought had worked but obviously not. I will keep on doing it though. I've also been using Bio Oil. No, my Mum didn't get any. We are completely different shapes as she is really thin, no stretch marks and hardly any bosom and I am of average size !!, stretch marks and MASSIVE bosom!!:rotfl:Baby Bump born 4th March 2010! :kisses:

Heya gang, intresting that some of the Asda's already have the baby event items in stock. We are wanting another baby gate, and already have the lindam so wanted to pick one of those up while they are only £15. Gotta take father in laws Xmas pressie back as its stopped working so have good excuse to drag OH there hehe.
Well have finnished washing and ironing all the baby stuff, am really pleased with my self, especially on the ironing front hehe. Like you lot I normally opt for the easy route and only iron as required if absolutley necessary. Still have bedding to do and some baby towels then am all doneIf I have the energy will start on the 0-3 month clothes when am on mat leave, but with all the newborn stuff I have there is no rush. Besides could do with taking a leaf out of SJs book and doing some cooking.
Kindof - its cold here too but we have a fan heater thats keeping that at bay and probably costing us a fortune in electric! Boiler man has been already and is coming back tomorrow afternoon to fit the new part thats needed, thankgod cos I really need to wash my hair. Oh and like you need to start sticking to a meal plan, tho our takeaway cost so far this month has only gotten to about £30.
SS - its so hard to know what advice to follow, but must admit if my MW had told me that I'd be put off using the cream, let alone with your background.
Guinea - its less about your mums shape and size and more about genes, hopefully neither of us will get any more hehe. But to be honest if I do I do am not gonna get upset about it.
Mum is taking us to Weatherspoons later, yeay for not having to cook againBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Slept quite well last night. Only had to get up twice for a wee! Am now busy getting ready for work tomorrow....loads of marking and planning to do!
For the first time in the pregnancy I was nearly sick this morning._pale_ Not for your usual reasons but because a couple of weeks ago I went to the butchers and treated the dogs to a piece of fresh tripe....BAD mistake! I decided to cook it today and the stench of it made me heave. It is DISGUSTING! Don't really think I was heaving because I'm pregnant but because tripe reaks!!
Hope everyone is okay and not got too many hiccups?!:rotfl:Baby Bump born 4th March 2010! :kisses:

Hello ladies. I have posted this question on the less than 12 weeks board too, but wondered if any of you may be able to shed some light on this as well?
I have used a number of Clearblue digital tests with the conception indicator over the past month, and they have increased each time from 1-2 weeks, then 2-3 weeks and finally to 3+ weeks at the beginning of last week.
All that seemed to make sense, yet yesterday afternoon I did another one in a panic after I had begun spotting brown blood, which came up as 2-3 weeks again, so has effectively read less hormone in my urine I guess? That really scared me!!
OH rue's buying me the test now and thinks that its rubbish and these things can be wrong etc, but I cant get it out of my mind
I didnt test with FMU as they suggest, but to be honest I never have with any of them. The 3+ result I got last week I did in my lunch hour at work!
Any ideas/thoughts????Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
MV , someone a couple pages back found the same , and someone replied with these are never acurate , i wouldnt worry to much , or if you worried pop to see doc tomorrow , but brown spotting is usual in early preg , try not to worry , and these preg test are not cheap , with the money you are spending on these tests you could prob pay for a private scan at around £49 i think its babybond try searching for near your house , i think they do them from a few weeks pg to put ur mind at rest
HTHDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
Thanks nikkit...I know its ridiculous how much ive spent on tests..I am going to try and get to see my GP tomorrow.
I have my booking in appt at the hospital this coming thursday anyway, but not sure I can wait that long.
Thanks again xMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
If it helps Metranil, I did one of the conception indicator ones, after getting a positive with a superdrug own brand, and it put me at 2-3 weeks when I was 5 weeks. I had some brown spotting and then red blood, went to a&e where I was scanned, thinking I was 2-3 weeks, and then was told I was 5. So where those 2 weeks went, I dont know!
A lot of postings over the internet, dont seem overly keen on these tests because they are not accurate, and can give results as you've had, creating panic.
At your booking appt, they'll ask for a sample which they will test. Brown spotting is common, could be old blood from implantation. In my case they think it was from a cyst that I have on my left ovary which is filled with blood...
My suggestion is to just take it easy, as much as this will take up your every waking moment! I had cramping with mine too and so thought i was in for another m/c, but that could have been stretching or the cyst bursting....
Big hugs xxWealth is not measured by currency0
