  • SS what a bargain!!

Som I slept badly last night, maybe I shouldn't have had that extra long nap yesterday afternoon!

Had loads of plans for today, batch cooking and cleaning but really can't be bothered now, just want to chill on the sofa with the duvet!

Talk of mother's day, I worry about stuff like that because OH is kinda rubbish with stuff like that

CAFC - I am 33 weeks, and my MW hasnt even mentioned my birth plan with me, I dont even know if I should do one cos loads of people I've spoke to have said the MW's dont even look at it

Aless - Thats interesting about the chair, my worry is as well that I don't really have room for it lol

Redstar - Thats what I do anyway, as soon as Ive washed the clothes they are on the radiator to dry and they mainly dry the creases out, MIL thinks I am disgrace I am sure cos she is old school lol and believes in ironing, she thinks its awful I don't iron OH's work shirts lol, I think sod thta he can do it himself, he is a grown man lol

CAFC - My gums bleed like there is no tomorrow, every morning when I brush my teeth there is a lot of blood in the sink, thankfully mine dont hurt

1more? - Grrr how annoying and rude!

Som - Thats so annoying about the heating, I dont know about where you live, but its cold here, and if I had no heating I'd freeze lol

Metravail - I cant comment on the blood, if it was red or pink, but I had brown spotting, and brown blood at the start of my pregnancy, I had no symptoms apart from falling asleep as soon as I had had my tea. To be honest doing another test unfortunatly wont do anything as if something bad had happened you would still have levels in you that would show a positive, so I wouldnt waste your money on one of those, if you are really concerned I would try and get in to see the doc, or if possibible if you think it would help you can book in a early scan and they can check everything out? (((hugs)))

SJ - Thats interesting about the second freezer, we got a chest freezer from OH's friend cos our freezer is tiny, but we havent plugged it in and turned it on yet cos it wouldnt be cost effective cos there wouldnt be anything in it.

But I was considering batch cooking when I am on mat leave, so think we will plug it in then

BUT I dont think I want to batch cook once babybean is here (I might of course change my mind lol) cos I enjoy cooking and I worry that doing a massive batch of it on a day on the weekend as opposed to every day might take the fun out of it?

EA - Love the wedding dress

Moos - EEK, I am pleased everything is ok though :) RLT Doesnt bring on labour does it? I thought it made second stage quicker?

SJ - I managed to Veet foof lol, I have no flipping idea how, I had a small mirror on the toilet seat and I squatted over it :rotfl:and lathered on the veet lol, it was the one you are to use in the shower, so then I got in shower and sponged all the hair off lol

Som - Awww all your baby stuff looks lovely

Fishcake - Ive been having one cup of RLT a day since 32 weeks

SJ - I am starting to freak about my hospital bag, I havent got mine packed, nowhere near ready, I havent even got a bag to pack lol, I really need to start collecting it all together, and I need to wash babybeans clothes that I am taking to the hospital, ohhhhh I might wash them today, sooo cute lol, thats funy about your OH lol

When does the baby event start I thought it was yesterday? cos we were there last night and they had the stairgates and stuff for £15 etc

    Morning all

Well we had a nice day at my aunties yesterday which was good :-), we went to asda on the way home (as OH is out with his friensd today and I cant carry the shopping home) so we were there at 9.30pm and it was dead, it was amazing, best shop we have ever done, it took only 15 mins

And I am so proud of us, the only thing we bought that wasnt on the list was a redcude loaf of bread for 15p

So we only spent £22 for the week :)

We got a fright the other week, I added up how much we had spent since Jan 1st in a shop and it was £240 and we had spent £100 on takeaway :eek::eek::eek::eek:

So we really need to sort this out, so anyway I have done a menu plan for the week:

    Sunday - Sunday Dinner
    Monday - Chilli
    Tuesday - Spag Bol
Wed - Bacon, Chips and Beans
Thurs - Fish, Mash and Peas
    Friday - Chicken Pineapple Thing
    Saturday - Pasta and Sauce

So I will be very proud of us if we manage to go this week sticking to the menu plan and not getting take away.

We need to nail this cos we are ok when I get paid full pay, but no so ok when I go onto SMP and then part time wages

Thanks for the advice re gums, think im gonna have to bite the bullet so to speak and buy some cordosyl by the sounds of it. im brushing twice a day and even bought a softer toothbrush, and use macleans mouthwash. I kinda expect it when I brush but just randomly throughout the day is really annoying LOL

Hi, just a bit of advice for anyone with bleeding gums - from a dental nurse :D
I know it's very common for gums to bleed during pregnancy, but it might help if you floss every day. Generally gums bleed due to plaque getting between the tooth and the gum and irritating the gum, and flossing removes the plaque, allowing the gums to heal. Brushing alone does not remove 100% of the plaque in the mouth. People are sometimes scared to floss because 'it makes the gums bleed more' whereas actually if you keep flossing, after a day or two the bleeding will stop as the plaque has been removed.
    Hope this helps!

PERSONALLY I would call that a load of tosh & the usual MW scaremongering. But that's just my non-professional opinion of course ;)

Think it's a tad extreme, especially "if used near bump" it's not gonna soak through your skin, blood, womb, waters, melt baby's hair off etc :rotfl: (i know that wasn't the point lol)

I used it all the way through too, the chemicals aren't that harsh nowadays - if they were i wouldn't be using it on my foof  That midwife is probs in the dark ages.

Well I'm just having a break!! Did the mountian of washing up from yesterday, cleaned all the sides down in the kitchen, butchered a big pile of chicken thighs to get them off the bone and most of the fat off, then browned all the meat with a load of spices and that's now in the slow cooker with lots of veg for a big batch of curry. Should do about 10 portions I reckon :)

Going to do chilli next I think, after another RLT!
