AB - we just bought the Graco Quattro Tour DLX. It seemed nice to use and really easy to change all the bits on it when we had a play about with it in the shop. The only thing I would say is that it is still quite big as it folds like a concertena, rather than an umbrella although the one hand fold system is very easy to use. From what I gather, it's fairly typical of Graco travel systems.

We got the set with the car seat (0+ - goes to about 12m old), carry cot, changing bag, footmuff and isofix base (which doesn't fit in my car!) for the price on that website. They don't have any in stock just now but I know they're getting some in within the next couple of weeks (including mine!). I'd definitely recommend buying from there as they have a price promise and we had good service from them.

On another note, we found it worthwhile to go into toys r us et al to have a play with all of the buggies. We didn't have a clue what to go for until we did.

It makes the second stage quicker by making your contractions more effective and as I'm already having contractions I don't want them to be too effective too soon IYKWIM :o

Your meal plan sounds nice Kindof, I do one every week but we don't always stick to it and things end up getting rearranged :o

AHhhhhhh now I see lol :) yes you deffo dont want that then do you lol

Thanks, we have just had a nommy chicken, mash, yorkshire pudding and veg dinner, it was lush, we used frozen veg (£1.00 for a big bag and hardly used any of it) for the first time, as we usually spend about £4 on frsh veg and it gets wasted.

So I am going to make some sandwich's for OH to take to work in the morning (as if he doesnt have sandwhichs made he spends £2 a day on a bacon sandwich) cos I am determined to not waste money

I am so hopng we can do it this week, we get take aways far too easily, its down to me really I need to be the stronger one!

I will be amazed and so happy if we can get to next sat night just having spent the £23 that we spent at asda last night

Regarding stretch marks, your going to get them if you are going to get them, I have been using bio oil at least twice a day since finding out pregnant and I have a LOT of sretch marks, I just dont think you can help them

Som - When was the event meant to start? I thought it was sat? yeah our food and takeaway spends is insane! so it has to be sorted lol, I am pelased they are coming tomorrow for your heating

MV - Your booking in appointment wont shed any light on your preg if that makese sense, they dont do tests at the docs anymore, I would honestly suggest for your piece of mind getting a private early scan, as waiting till 12 weeks I can imagine would feel like a lifetime?

Hey AB :) did you find out the flavour of your LO?

Well I am going to make OH's sandwiches for tomorrow then settle down with a tin of roses and dancing on ice lol

I would ask your GP if he/she can refer you for a scan at the hospital ( I had a scan at 7 + 2 because of an eary miscarriage in October, if you say how worried you are they normally don't refuse, and my gp also did two blood tests 2 days apart to test hormone levels to make sure they were going up at the correct rate ) I'm now 9 + 4 and feel much more relaxed + sick as a dog, started in week 6

Kindof - as far as I was aware the Asda Baby Event starts 19th Jan so Tuesday.

MV - am sure you'll be fine but go to the doc if your concerned. Have never used that particular test but have heard a few times now that there not all that!

AB - nice to see you again :D and pleased to hear all is going well. As for your pushchair both the ones you are looking at have pros and cons, really what I would need is more info about what/where/when/how you will use the pushchair for me to be able to make a recommendation. If Im honest tho neither of those are great and you could do better but its about personal preferance. The 3Ds are heavy and we see quite a few back for repair as there are a little too easy to fold wrong! The Spin is still new so not as much background on that but you are paying a chunk for the novelty spin aspect and the care seat isnt all that! You'd be better looking at the My4 tbh.

Well Weatherspoons was short of staff so were running a slimmed down menu so we went somewhere else, had a nommy bacon and cheese burger, but the best bit was def dessert. Death by chocolate Mmmm and a huge chunk too with lashings of cream :D Said to OH think we'll have to go there again just for dessert, I can feel some cravings coming on hehe.

    afternoon all....

have been so lazy today, and all ive done is lay in bed, shower, dry my hair, get dressed and make dh a cup of tea and me a hot chocolate.....
im so bored, but too tired to do anything......
if we had any spare cash i would start getting bits organised for my scrapbook and make a start but a lot of things i want to use, like my photo printer are in storage... GAH!

was thinking last night as well, ive become really crap with food, i just dont think im eating enough and now its starting to worry me....

Hi hun,if it's worrying you then perhaps you need to look at why your being a bit pants at eating.Preg does put you off food a lot ie smells etc,or leaves you craving complete junk like pizza, choccie, takeaways etc.And when we're mega tired it's easy to not bother to cook.I think that's kinda norm, but if your not eating prop on purpose cos you feel outta control or worried about putting on weight then thats prob not so healthy.I have prev had an eating disorder and after having it under control for 6 yrs it reared it's head again at the beginning of summer.About a month before I got pregnant!lol. So I have my health visitor and doc keeping an eye on me after baby is born incase I relapse. As soon as I fd out I was preg I started eating again,it was about the only thing that wd have stopped me I'm sad to say as I was gripped.I sd like I'm falling to pieces don't I?Idon't know why I told you all that,I prob sd like a right fruitcake but I'm not I promise.:o

Thank you to all of you for all the hugs the other day, they put a smile on my face!I've had a migraine for a few days and was awake all night with it,thankfully I managed to get rid of it as hubby let me lie in till 12 today.Yay!.I spent 40 in mothercare today as well,I brought some pregnancy/nightdresses which feels like such a treat (they were half price)plus a few bits for babs-so much fun!Take care all.xx

MV - apologies I've been away all weekend or would've replied sooner.

I had brown spotting (which sounds just like yours) at 5 weeks and then at 8 weeks. I had drs ap and booking in ap at around 6 weeks and both dr and midwife told me to go a & e if I had any more, no matter how small. I went to a & e 1st thing on the mon morning after the 8 week spotting and they sent me for a scan with epu. Everyone at the hospital was very supportive and nooone made me feel as tho I was over reacting. Everything was fine and I am now 25 weeks with a healthy kicking bean :)

I dont think your doctor will be able to do anything and if you are really worried would def advise to go to a & e to put your mind at ease.

Re the clear blue conception indicators it states in instructions that only FMU will produce accurate conception date so you should discount any that aren't done with FMU.

    Hi everyone!
Need some advice if anyone can help? Our bump is due to come into the world in six weeks. We have two cocker spaniels who have never really been near a lot of babies/children apart from our friends' two children. One of the dogs is very jumpy around children...I think because the other dog is quite dominant and so doesn't really get a look in a lot of the time. Anyway...how can I prepare them for the birth and having another person around the house 24/7? We have stopped them sleeping on our bed and put a stair gate outside our room. We are going to put another stair gate between the lounge and dining room and close it occasionally so that we can have time with the baby but the dogs can still see us. We have introduced them to the babies room and my husband has been taking them for walks without me but how do we prepare them for the constant other person and crying; etc?
    Thanks for any replies.
