I know i will ween the baby when i want to but as a first time mum i was good and did what i was told. I wasn't allowed to ween ds untill he was 8 months as my hubby has Coeliac disease and ds had to have blood tests to dermine if he was the same thankfully he wasn't, he is allergic to other foods where he is violently sick like the excorist but i would have known if he was a coeliac.
there is no way if i bottle feed or mix feed at a crazy time in the middle of the night am i waiting for a bottle to cool down with a screaming baby. My sister in law really suffered and she got quite down with it but she still would believe me when i said she could have her water ready for god forbid put the bottle in the microwave. My niece is nearly 1 still on formula and she still will not warm a bottle cos that was what she was told
It is ridiculous.. I bf for months, but when we did move over to bottles I made them up in advance... I didn't microwave but heated in hot water. I don't see the prob with that and will do again once we're back to bottles!! I don't see how they can keep changing stuff so regularly, and DD was absolutely fine so will be doing bascially the same with this one.0 -

Sympathy pains lol0 -
Realistically speaking, the human population survived for long enough with mothers just doing what they thought was best for them and their child before all this advice was given out as gospel!
I will listen to all the advice given but I won't necessarily follow it unless I think it's right for us. I believe there's a lot to be said for a mother's instinct and goold old common sense!0 -

If you are like that with your cat just imagine what it will be like when Lily is growing up!!!0 -

Im worse with my brother, he recently started reception and turned 5. But he's still so small and has such baby like features. I was really upset lol.
OH says that, that people were doing this for years without books or regulations, etc. So whats so different now.
But i think he was referring to my wanting to buy RLT, EPO and calcium lol.0 -
