I was at hospital all pm grr! i swear they think we have nothing beter to do but to wait aroundMy apt was 12.45 i got out at 3 Still half hour away from home so i had to ring a friend to pick up ds from school, then i had to race home and get him ready for swimming.
It was a waste of time really, i didn't find out anything i didn't know. I wasn't impressed with the anaesthetist, he couldn't understand english very well and i couldn't understand his english very well it really didn't fill me with much confidence as i feel in the dark a bit about it all. I think they are over worked like all people in the nhs because he was trying to read my notes, talk to me about the op, asking me about medical history, write notes down all at the same time. He also got paged and had to leave me 3 times, then he would forget what he had said and gone over with me.
He got very confussed with how many pg's i have had an how many live births i have had as i lost the twins in jan/feb so we had to keep going over it. He kept saying what happened to your first child did it die at birth as emcs  No! he is now 4. He got dates wrong and i got very hot and bothered. I really wish hubby could have come.
Anyway collected pre-med, had MRSA swap, and more bloods done. He said my back isn't the best and he really hurt me pressing it, but they will try a spinal first but it may not work so they have up to 3 goes before it's a GA. Hubby can be there while i am having the spinal (i had heard some hubbys were not allowed in for it)This is my signature!0 -
Aww elasti that sounds awful, sorry you had to go through that. Hopefully they will be a bit more relaxed and organised when you go in.
Beenie have you tried eating bananas to stop the cramping? I have one pretty much every day and haven't had a proper cramp yet *touches wood*0 -

I am bloody annoyed at her, but she is rather 'up' herself and is always out to score points against me for some reason:mad: She didn't even tell me I'd tucked my skirt in my knickers, but just called me a silly cow and laughed in the background (I didn't know she was referring to then mind); my colleague told me about my misfortune as I was walking to the bus. She thinks her !!!! doesn't stink when it certainly does...I'm so glad I'm getting out of there for now, and when I can go for a wee, as am bursting but really can't go!

My calf muscle keeps cramping, it's sooooooooo painful
what ever you do NEVER do anything to tense your calf like stretching with pointed toes or wearing heels.
The regular exercises stopped my cramp last time but my cramp 1st time was so bad I ended up in hosp with suspected DVT :eek:0 -
Sami - LOL that's so weird :rotfl:
Yeah i kept waking up in the night cos i'd stretched my leg by pointing my toes and o...m...g it took my breath away LOL. I thought how weak am i? But at least i'll have gas and air for labour :rotfl: I will try those exercises though0 -

I feela bit sick now after reading those threads _pale__pale_0 -
SJ i think it has something to do with the amount of pictures of weird and wonderful spiders that i keep having text to me, a friend of mine breeds all sorts of different kinds of tarantulas and im petrified of them  he is trying to help me conquer my fear i dont think its working :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
aless you say that though and i had it with DD2 and i still went 2 weeks over :rotfl::rotfl:
elasti thats awfulsorry you had to go through that
Sami OMG at those posts  something didnt seem right with the posts last night thats why i didnt reply but i couldnt put my finger on why at least now i know :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: there are some bloody weirdos about aint there
Well i just popped into town to get a fish tank until my other one can get here (my friend with the spiders has a spare glass one for me i just have to wait for him to bring it round here he has promised me that there are no spider eggs left inside it anywhere and that it hasnt been used for ages dont think i could handle a tarantula running about my house no matter how tiny it was ) then popped to asda to get a couple of bits, and then i started getting cramps walking round asda  they still havent stopped and my back is killing me too, was also sick when i got up this morning for the first time in agesbump has dropped and movement has reduced to  hoping they are just BH's though its DD1's first school play tomorrow and i really dont want to miss it!
The dog didnt leave my side at all last night im hoping he doesnt know something that i dont :rotfl:
The fish are now quite happily swimming around in their new tank and according to DD2 they look happy now not sure how she can tell:rotfl::rotfl:
Got to pick DD1 up from school soon and then i think i will be resting for the rest of the day so not to encourage this baby to move anymore towards the exit he needs to stay put for a bit longer :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
ooh just been a bit nebby and read back a bit Sarah Joanne - are you having a HB? I saw you said you weren't ordering the drugs, just my 2p but are you absolutely sure? I birthed my 1st with just gas n air (in hosp)
for Edgar (HB) I got the drugs 'just in case' thinking I wouldn't need them as I coped fine having Chris but I did need one shot of meptid and I'm so glad I'd got it in because I really couldn't handle the pain with him and I think if I'd gone without my birth wouldn't have given me the good memories I have IYSWIM
sorry if I've got it all wrong but I do worry about people:)

That's really sweet!
Sami - yuk! That's just really not right! (the troll I mean)
But yes I am having a HB. I just really don't like the sound of the drugs they can offer me. I want to use a birthing pool but I can't within 2 hours of pethidine or meptid. So I'm planning on starting with paracetemol, calcium and bouncing on my birthing ball, then moving into the pool and using G&A if I need it, and I'm planning (hoping) that I'll be ok with that.
But I certainly welcome any advice from anyone - I've never done this before and it's nice to hear other people's views0
