    I know, I can't believe there are such big differences. Makes me wonder how much I can learn from 4 hours when other get 12 hours! I already have a sneaky feeling that I may not learn anything new after reading up quite a bit myself on the internet as that's what happened with the HB session I went to. Was good to hear that the MW running the session was keen on HB but I didn't actually learn anything new.

    To be honest, in all the 12 hours I learned very, very little that I hadn't a) read in my internet/book research; b) read on here. I mean, they were still interesting but I seriously doubt you will be missing much.
    top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

    would like to win a holiday, please!!

    Going to see DS in his Xmas play in a min, gonna get there early cos other parents are morons and will be shoving each other through the doorway to ensure all the 6ft people sit directly in front of shortarses like me, then make sure they move their big fat heads as much as possible everytime i find a gap through the their sweaty coats to see :rolleyes:

    If i wasn't pregnant i'd be seeing my doc about this PMT i seem to have atm :rotfl:

    i haven't even been offered any classes this time around. Maybe as i'm having a section and already have a child they don't think you need them but a few things have changed but then they do every year. Like one time you can be told to lay the baby feet to foot of the bed another time they say it doesn't matter. I am hoping to breast feed but bottles have also changed we were allowed to make up milk in the bottle to keep when it was needed or at least have cooled boiled water in all the bottles ready to add the milk where's my sister in law was told she could only make bottles as she needed them and cool them down instead of warming them up like we did. But this way she had a very upset, crying baby waiting 20 mins for her bottle to cool.

    oh oh meant to say earlier hubby put the boarder up in the babys room last night! whoop he didn't start until 9.30 last night and finished at 11.30 lol I didn't think he was going to do it and i didn't nag him to. There is still tons to do and he is not home tonight so nothing will get done tonight but at least that is done.

    lol beanie that is excatly how it is like at my sons school. I thought i was there really early for harvest but i was right at the back and didn't see ds at all. I am going 30 mins early for his xmas play so i can get near the front, we also have to fill in a form if we want to take pics or videos so that takes a little time.

    They never offered me any this time round neither :confused:

    They change so much between DD1 and DD2 it went from sterilising for the first 6 months to sterilising for the first 2 years :eek: Honestly didnt see the point myself once she was crawling everything she found was going in her mouth anyway :rolleyes:

    A friend of mine had a little boy at the beginning of this year and she was told to keep him off solid foods and only give him milk for the first 8 months :confused: both of mine were on solids by 4 months and by 8 months DD2 was eating exactly what we were eating and feeding herself !!!!!!!! :rotfl:

    Exactly scary aint it :eek::rotfl:
  • You have to take what they say with a pinch of salt, nod your head say yes in all the right places and do what you want to do and what you thinkis best for your child at the end of the day.
    I know i will ween the baby when i want to but as a first time mum i was good and did what i was told. I wasn't allowed to ween ds untill he was 8 months as my hubby has Coeliac disease and ds had to have blood tests to dermine if he was the same thankfully he wasn't, he is allergic to other foods where he is violently sick like the excorist but i would have known if he was a coeliac.
    there is no way if i bottle feed or mix feed at a crazy time in the middle of the night am i waiting for a bottle to cool down with a screaming baby. My sister in law really suffered and she got quite down with it but she still would believe me when i said she could have her water ready for god forbid put the bottle in the microwave. My niece is nearly 1 still on formula and she still will not warm a bottle cos that was what she was told:confused:

    I always used to stick my brothers bottles in the microwave! They say it heats up in different places and can burn the baby's mouth. But the solution is to shake it afterwards lol.

    Or maybe im just going to be a terrible mother :p

    I swear someone has found another cat the exact same one as mine, but bigger and swapped them. He's laying next to me and he's huge!!

    I remember when he used to fit in the smallest of spaces, i dont want him to grow up, he's my baby :( lol
