    That's really sweet!

Sami - yuk! That's just really not right! (the troll I mean)

But yes I am having a HB. I just really don't like the sound of the drugs they can offer me. I want to use a birthing pool but I can't within 2 hours of pethidine or meptid. So I'm planning on starting with paracetemol, calcium and bouncing on my birthing ball, then moving into the pool and using G&A if I need it, and I'm planning (hoping) that I'll be ok with that.

But I certainly welcome any advice from anyone - I've never done this before and it's nice to hear other people's views :D
have they said where that 2hr rules has come from? I'm sure Weezl had pethadine and got back in the pool straight after.

Have you been to ante-natal classes? at mine they showed partners how to massage which really help me :)

Got my first ante-natal tomorrow. We only get 2 x 2 hour sessions here though so I can't see it being as thorough as some places.

Massage would be great for me I think as I love being massaged anyway. My DH hates doing it though but I think in this circumstance he would just get on with it and do it. (He usually complains his hands start to hurt or he just admits to being bored!)

And no, not said where the 2 hour thing is from. I just assumed it was becasue I may be drowsy and drowsy + water is not necessarily a good combination

you could always try one of those wooden knobberly things to save his hands, my OH is the same in getting bored etc but he was fab at the birth and I only needed the hard massaging for about 30secs - 1min while the contraction hit so he got a rest in between.

you can always research or ask weezl about the 2hr thing to argue your case if you change your mind if you wantedhelp researching, weezl is fab and I recommend the ARM yahoo group (association of radical midwives) it's run by Mary Cronk who is a massively respected MW who specialised in HBs :)

That's crazy - we got 6x2hrs sessions! Also, you're going to have at least 1 MW plus your hubby watching you, so if you pass out in the water I think someone will notice :rotfl:

thought the knickers person sounded like a troll, but sometimes they're just intelligent-sounding enough that you can't tell & then don't wanna be rude not to reply! Weirdos...

PP, eek hope the cramps have dissapated. Might've just been bubs burrowing down & getting comfy rather than anything else :).

Just been out and about, spending random money on crap (oops). Had this master plan of making spicy chicken wings as they had the sauce I like in Waitrose (and can't find anywhere else) until I saw their cheapest chicken wings were £2.70! They're like less than £1.50 in ASDA, I swear...I'm so cheap :rotfl:

Also went to this natural food store to see if I could find anything interesting for pregnancy/labour, but it was all rubbish...anyway, enough rambling about my boring day.

Forgot to say I got something from BB to test - a book!! How boring! :p
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!
    :xmassmile Mummy to Finn - 12/09; Micah - 08/12! :j

Ooh yeah, hadn't thought about those wooden things, that's a great idea. Should be able to pick one up pretty easily. If not he can just stop being such a wuss! To be fair he probably wouldn't dare complain abou this hands hurting whilst I was actually in labour!!

I don't want pethidine for sure, but meptid is available in my area, I may order some just in case, but I still would really rather not have that either.

I will check out ARM group though - thanks :)

    Morning! :D
Always - Labour vibes to you! That does sound like some last minute nesting, hope baby comes soon!

Gym - OH isn't cutting the cord either cause he thinks its gross lol.
But i do to a little. Plus i wouldn't want any with scissors near my newborn, but it has to be done :p

And i hate paperchase, i went in on the thinking that they sold 'paper' but they dont! lol. Well they do, but not individual nice sheets of paper like i wanted. Only rubbish notebooks, etc

Sami - Ew! lol. Bit of a weird obbession though!

OH is back to work again today, then has tomorrow off, then back thursday then all weekend off :D
But today i think i will try to finish the nursery painting, then i can get a start on sorting and washing her clothes :j
Bought another 16 baby coat hangers y'day. And some baby wash cloths and a home safety kit, all from 99pworld! :money:
Their baby section is not good for me :p:rotfl:

I know, I can't believe there are such big differences. Makes me wonder how much I can learn from 4 hours when other get 12 hours! I already have a sneaky feeling that I may not learn anything new after reading up quite a bit myself on the internet as that's what happened with the HB session I went to. Was good to hear that the MW running the session was keen on HB but I didn't actually learn anything new.

Lol Beenie! I'm feeling a bit freaked out too at being 30 weeks today! Cannot believe how slowly the first 12 weeks went, and then how super quick the next 18 were! Makes me worry about how fast the next 10 weeks will be.

How are you enjoying all your ML EA? Are you bored yet or enjoying it? I can't wait for mine to start - only 9 more days in work after today and 3 of those are half days!!!

I got 12 with DD, but is now down to 4 in this area too!! I'm glad I've already had the longer sessions, but it's OH's first and he's really wanting to go. He would have actually appreciated more sessions!
