Packed some more stuff into hospital bag earlier, so far i have (pasted from earlier post)
Nighties
Slippers
Dressing gown
Sanitary/maternity towels (pack of 10 mat, plus pack of Always Night)
Breast pads x 8 pairs
Nursing bras x 2
Shampoo, sponge, shower,
Nappies x 10
Baby clothes (3 vests, 3 sleepsuits, cardis, 1 snowsuit for going home, hat)
Baby blankets
So i still need to pack...
Pants x as many as i can find!
Normal clothes
Hairbrush, bobbles
Cotton wool? (am sure i bought some just can't find it!)
Still don't know what's going to happen when i go into labour, can't rely on my sister to be able to drop everything and come with me as she'll either be at work or stuck with the kids, and she's got a night out planned on Thurs for her bday... Think i'm gonna be royally screwed tbh, my mother has disowned me and i hate her sooo much i won't/can't ring her no matter how desperate i am.
That's pretty much what i've packed but with:
towels (for me + baby)
tissues
lypsyl
vaseline
snacks & drinks
camera
CDs
TENS machine
OH has already said he's gonna feel embarrassed carrying so much in to the hospital with us for (hopefully) such a short time cos it looks like i've packed loads! but there's nothing else i can take out & most of it is just bulky.
Ooh, & i must remember to take my notes - would be just like me to forget the most obvious thing!:j Very proud mummy to Evie Mae born 26/12/09 :jAims for 2010 - be a good mummy, lose (some) weight, clear (some) debts, be happy0 -
ooh yeah i'd deffo do it for a c/s i've heard stories about their dry bic techniques :rotfl:
There's not a lot going on there anyway so it'd be all off or left as it is, can't really decide but i see what you mean about all the bleeding and feeling cleaner. Might get the immac cream out tonight0 -
Oooh maz thanks i mentioned towels the other night but forgot to add it to my list, will edit my post. I forgot about notes too
:rotfl: Vaseline & money for the tv too, i'm due on the X Factor finale night, after all :rotfl::rotfl:

Elasti i got there about 25 mins early and there was people there already! Most of the front seats were reserved for teachers but i nabbed a single one at the end since i was on my own!0

Ok i will def get there 30 mins early then. It seems silly to get there that early but if it is the only way to get a seat it has to be done.
I am taking a little suitcase on wheels it's not big but it looks it for going to hospital. A bath towel and my dressing gown takes up all the space in it already! I have done the babys he has his own bag and it is full! we need quite a bit with staying in a few days. I still need to put huge kidney huggers in my bag and some jogging bottoms when i can find them. I am taking a few mat/nursing tops to wear in hosp and to come home in to be comfy.
I wore normal or mat tops last time so i looked dressed for visitors but had pj bottoms on as i was still in bed under the cover. 5 days in pj's is a bit much even for me so at least i looked ok from the waist up.This is my signature!0 -
lol Beenie - mine's always all off it's just "normal" to me now... if I can't see to do it by then OH will have to sort it for me lol0
-
I think hubby really wants to do mine, weirdo lol I don't trust him i think he would get carried away and take it all off :rotfl: But i can't really see to do it so he may have to.This is my signature!0

Hi everyone,
Home early today as DD was sent home as she had a temperature.
Lou, you have my sympathies - after not having any problems with DD, I seem to be suffering from piles this time around.
Nikkit - what a win - congratulations, that sounds lovely.
Beenie - it's far from ideal, and I'm not sure of my facts, but would it be worth talking to Surestart? I'm fairly sure that I read somewhere that they have been able to help in the past with looking after children (and they would be vetted as well). While I'm sure you would prefer they were with someone you know well, it may be worth considering if all else fails?Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

mermaid i used to keep it all off when ex was here but don't always bother anymore til it gets uncomfy after being used to it off!
elasti what are kidney huggers?! My ex did mine a few times but only with the cream not a razor  He took it very seriously and the look of concentration was hilarious
arnie, last time i had a mw appt they said a HV would come and see me a few weeks before edd to talk to me about coming home alone with baby although no mention of having DS looked after, no one has bothered coming though  I am just relying on the notion that 'it'll all work itself out' but that's not very reassuring seeing as i don't have any backup plans no matter what time of day she chooses to arrive.0 -
Lol, I can't see but I just guess and hope I don't cut myself! Lol
Finished painting the nursery, just about to stick the wall stickers on, then have break before cooking dinner
I'm starving, would it be bad if I had some toast as im not having dinner until 7;15 when OH gets home0
