I sometimes ask if i can shave his beard, but he wont let me as he doesn't trust me with sharp objects lol.
I have cut him many times by just turning around suddenly when he's sneaking up behind me when im using sharp knifes0 -

EA tell your dad to bring some plumb tape that's probably all that's needed. Under 5 min and he'll have it sorted for you:D[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

EA you deserved the ice cream, you've had a stressful day
DH has football on now, it's well boring. I've been reading through some of the Christmas threads on here - some people have some fab ideas! We are definitely having a Christmas elf stay with us, and christmas eve hampers when LO(s!) is (are!) older!!0 -
would have loved a slice of that pizza SJ. I ended up having tomatoes on toast not very thrilling!
Grr sister in law just rang hubby to wish us all the best for monday and to say that she has thought about it and has decided she will ( wait for it) LET US have the name that we want to use for the baby as they have made up their mind that they won't be having any more children  they have one together but also one each with other partners. They wanted a boy but had a girl.
How kind of her to let us have it. Cow! i really can't stand her. I am glad she didn't ring me to say it or i would have said firmly but politely that the name is our choice any way and no one would change our minds. This is my signature!0 -
SJ - had to go and find the Xmas eve hampers thread after you mentioned it, its such a cute idea and was just telling OH. Am alrerady excited about it and will have to wait a whole year now to do it. Probably just be PJs and a book first year tho hehe.
Seem to be suffering with some kinda indegestion or something, never had it before so dont know but its sitting on my chest and feels warm and uncomfyHad it last night too.

The whole pipe needs replacing anyway, its to short so is only held in by a few millimetres!
Plus he's bringing my brothers around so will be nice to see them
He's said he can make it to the 4d scan so im thrilled, im such a daddys girl :rotfl:0 -
EA glad your dad can make it, i'm a daddy's girl too so completely understand, would love to get my dad to one of my scans to cheer him up but it would mean walking past the ward where my sis passed away so a complete no go for him just now.
Sorry that it's not a plumb tape job but i guess if your dad fix's it you know it's right, I hate having workmen in as i spend all my time wanting to scream "That's not what/how my dad would do it" lol Thats usually why i do things myself and if it's beyond me i get dad to help, unless it's something that i need to get the landlord to do and i become psycho daddy's girl lol[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Haha im the same! Plus if my dad does it i know its good work and it will be done within a specified time. Plus i feel i dont have to make awkward conversation with him :rotfl:
And i already know how he has his cup of tea
I try to fix things myself, but i always break them more so dad usually comes and help0 -
You ladies are lucky, My dad has never once visited in the 5 years I've lived here and he never came to my previous 2 places either. I used to be a real daddys girl but since he took to the drink we dont get on so much now, dont get me wrong I still love him but he can be a pain in the bum. I have already told him if he doesnt make an effort to see baby girl he can forget it. He has only ever seen my nephew who is 10 about a dozen times, but then my brother lives over 300 miles away, where as I'm about 17 miles. He is getting better tho, so maybe there is hope. As for fixing things we have a pretty nifty handy man that the landlord sends round for most stuff
Which reminds me I need to get him in to put up some shelves to store LO's things on, and pic hooks too (our LL doesnt like us to put things up she prefers handyman to do it then if it goes pete tong were not to blame!). Anyhoo, off to bed gonna read boots parenting club mag that turned up yesterday along with vouchers for nappy bag etc, gonna get that for MIL
