    HI ladies,

congrates to fatty and apparently GISI!! wonderful news i hope there is joy and love all round :)

I am more relaxed now, pink stopped and nausea and aching boobs going strong, so 5wks +1 today, so very early days, but starting to get a little excited. My EDD 22/07/2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw my GP two days ago and he has started the ball rolling, he dictated the letter to the hospital while i was in the room with him and gave me the form for the scan, so it is all underway!

I really don't like food at the moment, which isn't helping the nausea, but hey ho, it may help with some of my excess weight! lol

Thanks for the welcome last week :)

kindof - I'm very jealous of your 16 week appointment!!! Did you have the quad/4 point test for downsyndrome aswell? I wondered if coz that took some time up it may have affected the rest of the appointment?

It doesnt sound like they send me the result if it's low risk, she said if I've heard nothing by the end of next week then I can assume that there are no problems. That's really great for my peace of mind!

She didn't give me chance to ask questions or anything and I only realised after I got out that I'd forgotten to ask about the swine flu jab and when I'd be likely to get it. Doh

I've just been on ebay and bought my doppler :) I was too impatient to wait for a cheap one on an ordinary auction so I've gone for a new one on buy it now for £25 inc postage. Not very MSE lol I'll get my use out of it though as I definitely want more babies after this one and my best mate has just found out she's pg as well so she'll hopefully be able to use it.

  • Sorry Gill

I had blood tests at the 16 week for the downs yes, I was in about 15 mins or so??? and she said I would hear by the end of the week if I was low risk or I would hear sooner if I was high cos they would ring and want me back in for more tests? (I got a letter about 8 days later to say I was low risk)

I am so tempted to get a doppler, but scared at the same time lol

    Morning ladies

How sad am i but just got into work from consultant's appt and need to chat to you, Had a scan on an old scan machine and from what he could see the baby is breech in which case it means a c-s as they wont even try and turn the baby nor wait to see if the baby will turn as due to the shape of my womb it could mean I could go into early labour which explains the pain i have been getting !!! So the long and short of it i have to go back for a scan next week and if bumper is still breech on the weds I then have a n appt on the thursday to be booked in for a c-s,

This has upset me more than i thought it would as I was looking forward to a natural birth well not natural but a water breaking and think " oh my god i am in labour " Kind of thing if that makes sense and now that seems to have been taken out my hand. Also to think we could have the baby here in the next few weeks worries the life out of me as we are no where near ready as such, ok we will be fine but i really wanted to avoid having a c-section. Sorry to rant on, anyhow labour vibes to those in need and hugs to those also in need xxxxx
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j

  • Sorry to hear it didn't go well Lou, but remember that a lot can happen in a week. Even if baby is still breech, the other thing to hang on to is that a planned c-section (even fairly last minute) is better than an emergency c-section - less stressful for bubs and you.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

oh lou, you never know baby could turn at any time!! Have you tried doing some exercises from http://www.spinningbabies.com (or other websites) to encourage turning? *hugs and baby-turning vibes*

going to conveniently 'forget' insane monthly meeting I have at half-12. Who schedules meetings during lunch?! Is pointless every month, I sit there bored, and could care less as I leave next week. Most people don't turn up anyway.
