Just nipping on to say good luck gisi effective sweep vibes to you!
Hope everyone is ok, still haven't managed to catch up yet (or update my sig aless lol!)
Dylan's tongue tie op went ok but he's now feeding constantly so don't get chance to do anything at the mo. He had lost a little over 10% of his birth weight (this is the max they allow before they start to worry) he's put a few ozs on but I' hoping that when the health visitor weighs him on tues he will show a much better gain.
Ooh by the way, for all of you worried about clothes not fitting bubs at the birth. Dylan was 8lb 10oz and the newborn stuff I had (up to 9lb)seem to be quite big on him.
I read someone has pgp (sorry can't scroll up to check who) sorry to hear that hope you don't end up as helpless as I did. I'm at just over two weeks after the birth and things seem to be getting a bit better now. It wasn't instant after the birth but it's getting there. Hope that helps x
Nice to see you on here Fidget! Glad Dylan's op went well and that he's now feeding better.
EA- Yay for being 24 weeks and viable!
Well, I'm back, but only just. MW did the sweep, which was fine. She said my cervix has softened but is still closed and that she doesn't think it's very likely I'll start on my own before induction.
I then mentioned that I hadn't had much movement this morning (bearing in mind it was still only 9am so still early) and she said that while I was there she would do a trace to check baby. So off I went to the day unit (where they are so lovely, btw) and for the first 15 minutes baby hardly moved and heartbeat dropped twice, which apparently is bad when you're quite far overdue. So consultant got paged, MW said they would probably induce me today . In the meantime she got me to roll onto my side, which seemed to wake baby up and movement and HB went back to normal. Consultant came and said he's happy for me to come home, be checked tomorrow at day unit the induction as planned on Tuesday.
I think basically they are very busy today, fully booked tomorrow and didn't want me to stay unless I had to . I'm happy that baby is moving normally now though, and MW said to go straight back tonight if anything changes.
Sorry for the essay, but thought it might be useful to other overdue peeps!!!
Gonna persuade OH to take me somewhere nice today I think, after staying home yesterday. It's lovely and sunny here so might as well make the most of it.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Morning ladies. Feeling a bit bleurgh this morning. DH was doing some out of hours work so he didn't get up till 5am, which obviosuly woke me up! Felt fine at that point but when I woke again a couple of hours had a banging headache. Was still there when I eventually got up at 10.30 so have had some paracetamol and fortunately seems to be passing without making me sick. (I'm a big wuss with headaches - they always make me vom lol)
Had a sore throat since last Sunday night as well which is getting on my nerves as well. It's not really stopping my doing anything, just feels like I have a big painful ball in the back of my throat all the time. Goes when I have a hot drink but is back again an hour later
Gymfiend - your wedding plans sound lovely. We got married in May and it honestly was the best day of my life so far. (nearly eclipsed by 8 week scan when I found out bean was ok lol) We had a pretty big wedding but I am very close to my family and friends and couldn't imagine doing it any other way. It just feels so lovely to be married afterwards iykwim. I can't put my finger on it as we'd lived together for 3 years first but it does feel nicer lol.
GISI - I love don't tell the bride! Was obsessed with it before my wedding and now I watch it and wish I could do it again lol! (or just have some other weddings to go to!) Hope the sweep goes well! - edit just read a bit further - yay for Tuesday's induction! Get yourself straight back there if you're worried tho - screw how busy they are, your little one is more important.
PP - I haven't heard anything about my swine flu jab either yet. I'm only just into 2nd trimester tho (16 weeks today) so I'm guessing they're maybe doing 3rd trimesters first in my region. At the midwife on Weds so gonna try and chase it up then.

Morning ladies,
Gisi Id just come on to see if you'd posted any news. Glad you got your sweep and little one decided to behave after initially being quiet. Hope you have a nice day out with your OH.
EA I was going to have the strep B test, Id ordered the kit then discussed it with my midwife and was told you can not show it one week then can the week after and vice versa so I decided not to go ahead with it.
I finished my birth announcement cards yesterday, now we just need baby to arrive so we can write them out! We havent decided on a name as we want to see what suits her when she's born so I cant even start on the inside of them
Still no signs here apart from extremely sore hips. I ate that much pineapple yesterday my tongue was all tingly and OH put an extra spoon of chilli flakes in my chilli which didnt help!
Off to read back and catch up, hugs and vibes to all in need x xBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0
