    The doorbell went.

    It was a parcel.

    "Yipee" I said.

It was not pumpkin patch :(

But it was a big thingy of washing tabs to test!! :)

yes will most certainly have to do a little bit more research into the prams/buggys.

how far along were you all when u started buying stuff for bubs? im 16 + 3 and i still feel like its too early for me but then i dnt want to be in a rush toward the end trying to get everything organised!

I'm 18 weeks and have started gettings bits but that's because I'm a super organised person and don't want to leave everything to last minute:o Think lists, thinking about how many sleepsuits I'll need in middle of night etc!:rotfl:

I also have a feeling bean will be early *confused smiley*

    Good luck at docs delain:)

I am 15 weeks and have started getting stuff as and when I see bargains, also like smartie I am super organised and can't cope with not being planned! I have a colour coded spreadsheet (orange for what we've been promised, green for stuff we actually have in our posession!) too many project management courses at work methinks.

Having almost completed my reporting bits at work I now have to go out for a meeting, at least it's in a cafe so I can have a cuppa and some cake.

delain - thinking of you, hope all is ok. Best to be checked out and put your mind at rest.

Delain.. I didn't mean you shouldn't go to docs.. I was trying to reassure.. blood results take forever here and they do contact you if there is an issue. As for movements.. have you been doing more dashing about? The movements are so much harder to feel when you are busying as you know. It may just be having a quiet few days.. mine had 3 days of nohing a few weeks ago then decided it was a kangaroo ever since.. I think it was growing springs to hop about more! Let us know how you get on xx

Also thought it may be interesting to someone.

    Thanks pigpen :)

I had twins last time and DD1 was almost 8 years ago, it has crossed my mind that I'm expecting more movements than is realistic because there is only one this time :o

Hopefully docs will be able to help a bit. I'm just a bit bewildered as to why they were sent to another lab when the results are pretty important and I'm actually missing antenatal appointments because of it

Local labs do not have the equipment to check for quite a lot of stuff.. they are ok with basic infections, blood films etc but when it comes to specialist stuff.. like rubella and less common things like antibodies and genetic tests they are sent to the main hospital labs.. The other thing after twins (or huge babies/hydrops etc) your uterus is happy to stretch quicker so baby may be like a pea in a jam jar rather than a pea in a matchbox.. more room means you hit the sides less! Not forgetting placenta position making a difference!

I am 23 weeks friday :D its flown by! I am getting bits and pieces, mainly since my 20 week scan. My mum was initially weird about me buying stuff so soon, but I explained to her that I only have 4/5 more pay days at work before I go on leave so at least if I spend a budget each month, I can manage buying everything I need for the baby. Otherwise, if I left it until August I wouldn't be able to afford much! Since I said this my parents have gone mad and bought loads of cheap bits from boot sales which has saved me loads!

Hopefully when I get paid this month I am buying a monitor :D guna go for new as I dont know how good a 2nd hand one would be. I am seriously considering the Angelcare with movement sensor, as the reviews are so good.

    Hi

No idea about the ultima pram sorry, but it looks nice:)

I was going on about how much I wanted steak.....and 5 mins later the mw rang to say I need iron, so we went out to the pub and I had a huge steak:):)

I ALWAYS need iron after my 28wk bloods, I have a box of spatone sachets ready and I think I have loads of tabs left from having ds3 too, I will take them and then they usually check my bloods again at 34wk appt so hopefully it will be back to normal by then xx
