Good luck with your scans Smartie and Courgette, the 20 scan is amazing, you see EVERYTHING even the baby's face :D I loved every minute, appart from bursting for the loo!!

Well you should have gone to loo before you went in..you don't need a full bladder for the 20 week one.. the full bladder is only so the uterus is pushed up out of the pelvis for the early scans. It needs to be full to popping if you aren't pregnant though.

Mine was completely empty for my scan .. only problem with mine was Squeak was right in my left side so they couldn't see the whole spine.!!

Well I found out my blood test results have been sent to a special lab(?!) so the doctor's haven't had my results and just haven't bothered to call me to let me know they hadn't heard even though I had them on the 26th of March

I wouldn't worry.. Mine took 4 weeks to come back as they were sent to Leeds as I have crazy antibodies apparently.. and this last lot has been 5 weeks up to now and no word. If there is a problem they will write to you..

I didn't have a full bladder but as the sonographer kept poking me it made me need to go!! On my scan bubs kept covering his/her face with their hands all the time. They were trying to check everything was okay and bubs wasn't having it!

    Hi all

Thank you suzywuzy, Bexta and xmaslolly76.
I think I will pop into mothercare and get the sock-ons they seem like a brilliant idea.

Goodluck vibes to redstarnie and jolene.

Pigpen-I hope everythings sorted with you and hubs.I had an arguement with hubby this morning at 7am , I hate starting the day on an argument it ruins my whole day but it's ok for him he works nights so just sleeps away.I feel like bashing him with the pillows.

Just received my pumpkin patch order-They haven't sent my blanket so I assume it will follow when back in stock.Only received the sleeping bag and mouse booties. It's nice but I think I will avoid pumpkin patch in future.

I've ot to go back this week for another scan as they couldn't get decent pic of the spine.. the heart looked good though and was 'there' as soon as she turned it on.. so we explained to DD1 (15) why there looked to be only 3 chambers (blood not needing to be oxygenated in lungs etc.. leading to septal defects and heart murmurs..we like to be thorough) Hopefully the scan this week we will be more cooperative!! Mine did lots of hand sucking.. explains why we ALWAYS have hiccups!!!

sonee.. I got the fluffy white boots they are soooo adorable.. and we got the brown fluffy bear ones too.. which are also incredibly cute.

I thought this for my 20 week scan but baby was so far into my pelvis that they couldn't look at his head, heart and a few other bits and pieces. he wouldn't move no matter what we did. She said if I'd drank more before going in then it would have raised him up....plus if you have a fairly full bladder then, going for a wee can make them move into a better position sometimes.

    Afternoon Girlies

Had my 16 week midwife appointment this morning, she had NO sense of humour which made me nervous and so i waffled on and on about me worrying that sickness had stopped and that she wouldn't find a heatbeat etc. Then I was telling her about all the gardening I did yesterday etc etc blah blah blah. sure she will write fruit loop on my notes.

Well Baby had strong heatbeat and was moving around lots, they have put my EDD forward by one whole day woo hoo lol, so now due 26 Sep 10.

Still can't believe it is true, although tripping over various freebies from people at home, such as a baby bath and SO many toys and cute baby grows.

On a personnal note finally had sex with hubby after 16 weeks, yippeee.

Roll on 21 weeks when baby will wave at me again.

Argghhhhh i just wrote out a massive post then lost it. Ok in brief

Dream that pushchair is lovely. Have you thought about looking at the rst of the maclaren range as alot of their buggys start from birth and you may find something you like that would negate having to make a second purchase.

Clair i think the midwives have been taking miserable pills the last few montsh i think we have all come across at least one i havent got to see mine again until june so im hopeing the nice weather will make them a little less grouchy.

i cant believe how you are all getting messed about by pumpkin patch ive only ever bought from their shop and after you all being left waiting around i dont think i will ever use their online shop.
