Rach... are you getting the xt new or 2nd hand??? I'm thinking new as I'm going to be getting a few years worth out of it so will get my moneys worth;) I'm keeping an eye out for vouchers, offers etc for it although we haven't actually seen it in real life yet.
New I think - that and car seat (thinking Britax first class to stay in car) are the two things I want new. I was happy with 2nd hand pram but DH and my mum have overuled. My parents have offered to buy pram or put money towards (but as reasonable they will probably buy it all). My sister reckons they're almost always on offer at mothercare, plan is to go and look when my parents are down at the end of may (Dh and stepdad will be thrilled!) and I am guessing they will poss buy there and then if we decide that's what we want. I am secretly hoping DH's parents will offer to buy something too (car seat i'm thinking!!).
dreambirdie - lovely buggy but you can get plain colours for so much cheaper! About £120 i think! Not sure i could swallow the difference just for a design but each to their own!
My 20 week scan letter (at 21+2) says I need to drink water before I go in, but for my 12 week one it said no need for full bladder (different hospitals and i think King's where i had 12 week scan has very sophisticated equipment!) At one point she actually send me out to have a wee to see if it would help get bubs into the right position.
clareemily - me and DH have been back to DTD for a few weeks now. I couldn't really care either way but it's nice to ahve the closeness and i think he is relieved!!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Ok i am having a complete blond moment here i understand what is meant by DTD from the context but what does it actually stand for ?:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

yes will most certainly have to do a little bit more research into the prams/buggys.
how far along were you all when u started buying stuff for bubs? im 16 + 3 and i still feel like its too early for me but then i dnt want to be in a rush toward the end trying to get everything organised!0 -
Pigpen, Im not usually much of one for worrying but I haven't been feeling as much movement as I would be expecting to, and nothing at all in the last two days, plus my brother decided to start scaremongering about slapped cheek and stillbirths (proving that he hadn't actually looked it up!) and I just want to get checked out and hear bub's heartbeat for my own sanity TBH.
Fortunately they've booked me in with a young doc and not the old duffer who's answer to my skin turning grey and my fingers turning blue in winter even indoors with heating on was 'keep your coat on indoors' !?
My appointment is at 6 so will let you know how I get on
I've heard people say that mothercare pram thingy isn't up to much, I think one of the mums at the school said hers fell to bits.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
