Xmas; my dinner breaks are actually paid! But the funny thing is I am paid for a 1 hour break, in the 3 years I have worked here I have only once taken a full hour, there used to be 2 other ladies in the office who used to leave the office at 12 and return 1pm sharp for their breaks, this never got questioned, then they resigned and ever since my break has been changed to 30minute (dont know why I loose the other 30 minutes!) and both these women havent been replaced, I just do both their jobs, and mine!0

I am sure you will be fine Jolene! But I bet it is a scary thought! My OH's cousin is having a C section next Tuesday too
Strange question; does anyone have any idea how easy a Graco travel system is to clean? A suede effect one in brown and cream? I have just been offered one, possibly free, only prob is its been kept in a garage and is abit dusty, also the lie flat snuggly bit needs a wash I would say, well I would like to wash the whole thing, does this sound any good or should I run away?!?! I am very allergict to dust myself, so it would have to be steamed (I do have the relvant equipment!) but is it worth the hassle or should I just fork out £200-£300 on a new one?? HELP!!!0 -
My friend strips her graco's and throws it all in the WM.. free is always good.. if it doesn't work you've lost nothing!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Jolene you will be fine hun and at least you can prepare yourself properly unlike us naturalies who have the surprise dropped on us at any time of day or night :-)
Kitkat i agree with pigpen shove anything you can take off the pushchair into the washing machine and if you can get your hands on it well before baby is due you have plenty of time to go buy one if you decide it isnt for you. It also reminds me i have to wash bubs cosy toes he has mushed biscuit into it ewww :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Sod the steaming - i'd risk it and put in the machine if you have nothing/little to lose. I did with the quinny i bought off of someone a few months ago (everything, the whole foam seat, the footmuff and everything i could strip off of the dreami carrycot went in) - thats all supposed to be just sponge clean but it came up lovely and meant i saved a good few hundred pounds!!!! Steaming material always takes too much effort in my opinion - i oly ever use the steamer for things like the shower/kitchen tiles as it's the only way i see it really working like it should
Anyway, thought i'd say before going back through to read upMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
Ok still not read through properly and had to stop again
Mumof1...I have had one by section a previously and have had similar pains to what you are describing. Mine were at the stage where my tum was really starting to stretch and turn into a preg belly - i assumed this was why, the stretching of the old area (3yrs between mine). Mine has subsided now - either that or i have got used to it as i very rarely feel it badly now.
Did you get back into shape quickly after your 1st? I did and assumed this might have been why too. My scar was also always quite firm.
I'd say don't worry too much but deffinately mention it to your MW next time your speak to her
Gillby - i am very sorry to hear bubs is still breech (naughty bubs)...but you do still have a little bit of time. Keep trying anything and everything you can! If you have to have a section though at least you'll know you tried everything otherwise and bubs is gonna be in your arms soon anyway however they choose come out...big hugs to you hun! xMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
Gillby - sorry to hear baby is still breech. Hope he turns of his own accord soon.
What are everyone's thoughts on bootees? When does the baby actually wear them? Do you put them over the feet bit of sleepsuits or are they for if the baby is wearing a sleepsuit without feet in? I've been bought some today which I'm sure will be too small for my bubs (up to 7.5lb and pretty sure he'll be bigger than that!) and I don't know whether to exchange for bigger pair of something different. Thanks for the advise, I did think could the bits off the Graco just be shoved in the washing machine! I will check tomorrow if its still free and if so maybe try it! Thanks!0

bootees.. mine wore them over sleepsuits rather than socks inside sleepsuits which were a pain to dig out and put back on every 5 minutes. I decided not to bother this time and just get some of the fabric pull on ones instead.. but mine always had freezing feet so wore them until the were quite bigLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
