Kelinik .... Whinge away you have every right ,that's all I seem to be doing latley
know exactly how you feel I am too resigning myself to getting induced have been having mild pains(showing up on monitor ) for 3 weeks now but not progressing , and am sooo tired because they do wake e up and I feel so uncomfy
I have hosp app today at 4pm should no better then what's gonna happen ,but I wanted a water birth like I did with DS and if induced don't think it's an option
Do you have a home from home suite at the hosp thats what I am going to try use again ,of course it was "hospital" but more homely IYKWIM0 -
Thanks for the hugs redstar and sir monster. Will take all the labour vibes you can send but don't like my chances sadly!!
Jopsey you poor thing, mild pains for that length of time is just teasing!! I had a whole day of them saturday but I knew they weren't doing anything and sure enough it all stopped. Lots of random twinges since but I don't think little man is planning on going anywhere fast.
Best of luck for hosp later, oddly enough my appointment tomorrow is 4 pm. I really don't know what there is in terms of suites, guess I'll find out! Water birth sounds nice but they like to strap all the machines that go 'bing' to you for inductions don't they.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
Hi all,
Thanks for the messages.xmaslolly76 wrote: »Gilly sorry to hear bean is still breach fingers crossed the procedure will work for you. Have they mentioned what your options are if ti doesnt work ?
I've tried all the spinning babies suggestions, and even the frozen peas idea, but will try again later just in case.:o Apparently the baby is packed in tight, and as it's my first baby the chance of him turning spontaneously are minimal...
1more - sorry you're in pain. I hope things improve for you. Have you been referred to anyone for help - i'm not sure exactly what might help but maybe osteopathy?
gill_81uk - me too! I wake up early every morning with my head buzzing with all the things i need to wash/sort/store! Maybe it's coz we haven't got all that long to go... Have a nice lunch.
Kelinik - i hope things work out for you. It's horrible when things feel like they're out of your control. Will they be able to give you an idea of the size of the baby tomorrow? Fingers crossed for you.Debt free date: October 2006 :money:0 -
Thanks gillby. Yeah they'll do a growth scan when I get there. Thing is they can be out by up to a pound either way, which on one hand means he could be smaller than they guess...... or a lot bigger. Was told my last bub would be around 9lb and she was 10lb 9!
Really hope babe does a last minute flip for you. x:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -

I am 22 weeks and have started to get pains where my scar is. Baby kicks quite hard there, so it is more painful when baby kicks. I have also had a cold for the last 2 weeks so am aware that coughing constantly could be a contribution... I'm not sure if it could be part stomach muscles that are hurting... or if its inside where my scar is and it will be raw?
Its hard to explain... but its not unbearable.. though can keep me awake and make me reach for the paracetamol. Should
It is most likely a combination of ligaments stretching and being sore and being kicked and the coughing puttin extra strain on the ligaments and muscles.
Scars have severed nerves so cannot be painful..
I was hoping th epelvis would be hurting less today and it actually seems worse.. oh well.. still need to get through this decorating so I best get one.. if it is already hurting it can't make that much difference so I may as well get on with it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Started the day on a high and now I feel real down. Am in work and I work with 2 others in my office and my manager; one person is off and the other has phoned in sick, so just me and my manager. He goes on at me on a normal day and today feels like a hundred times worse
he keeps nagging at me how busy he is and asking me to do so many things, I just feel like I cant cope. I also have two phones on my desk I am expected to answer both and they do not stop. Have to admit the past hour I have ignored them (manager is in and out and refuses to answer phones) just so I can breathe. I am also not allowed to leave the building for my lunch break, and he expects me to answer phones while eating, just cant take anymore theres too much to do

As its a male manager you could be naughty and pretend to pass out that would get him to buck his ideas up and stop laying so much stress on a pregnant lady.
On the more serious side dont let him stress you out. You can only do what you can do you dont have a magic wand. So concetrate on the important things and leave the rest until you have time. If he asks you to take on anymore work then say to him "Yes i can do that but it will mean me not completeing something else what would you like me to leave for today?" puts the ball in his court then.:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Oh Kitkta hun thats horrible! I used to have a nasty boss and he wouldnt let us leave for lunches, would moan about what we were eating etc... I dont know what to suggest really, aside from deep breaths, and just do what you can at the pace you can. And tell him to answer the bleeding phone!
Baby is moving about a lot during my walk through town, and im now really tired and grouchy.
To be fair I wasnt in a great mood to start with, had really sporadic sleep, and am really narky. I want and I need to get stuff done but im so tired..... DH keeps telling me to sit down and rest, but thats all i do on his days off is sit on my backside....
Bought some papers for my baby book and paints for my canvasses to do while dh is at work...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
kitkat ive just thought are your lunch breaks unpaid? If so he cant stop you from leaving your desk and if he trys then put in an overtime claim for the hr :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
