Freebie it folds like a buggy does so although slighty bigger and bulkier than a buggy it takes up less room than one that just folds flat.
Gill i just bite bubs nails (including his toenails) i bought some little clippers from boots but he wouldnt keep still enough and im always frightened of clipping the end of his finger/toe and i deffinately wouldnt have the guts to try scissors.
Gena Yay for starting the nursery :-)

hello all!
Only just managed to get on.
Took dog for a nice walk today in the gap in the clouds, and then we went out for some lunch. I was being really well behaved and got a salad box at morrisons, and then DH didnt want anything, and then he decides on the way home he's gonna have KFC! And then of course, I wanted one LOL
So ended up with both and my salad is still in the fridge....
Made a list of some of the things i want to get done before baby is here, Im sure i'll think of more, also comes with a list of what I need to buy in order to get those things done LOL
And then I've made a start on washing baby things!!!! Started with bed linens etc Bought some non bio tablets especially LOL Makes it feel a bit more real now..... got so much to wash though and now really struggling for storage so thats the next thing to get sorted out.
RE changing tables.... we've got an actual table (old small dining table) that I figured I would recycle and use, but I need to find something I can put underneath it as storage, and then will potentially try and make some sort of cover with a curtain opening just to make it look a bit nicer.... I wish I had sewing capabilities!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hello, glad the 'stay put' vibes seem to be working - I'll chuck in some extra for good measure though!
We're not getting a changing table, but I know places like Ikea sell what are basically drawers with a changer on top (you can buy it by itself too), which you can then remove when it's no longer needed. Personally, I'm hideously clumsy (2nd degree burn on my hand this week making pancakes), so anything I can do to limit potential disaster eg carrying a pooey, screaming baby upstairs is for the best, so I'm sticking with a mat on the floor/ lap.
I hadn't even thought about cutting nails - aargh another worry. I've got a really weird bite and can't even bite my own nails. Teeth look nice and straight, but just can't 'grab' things the way a normal bite would. Hmmm, me with nail cutters and tiny baby - think that's a job for OH

I had an over the cot type changing table with Ds did use it but never thought it was a must have for this baby
still no signs as yetthink it could be all the Easter egg's I have been munching baby may have got a taste for them and dosn't want to come out :rotfl:
how has anybody else coped with being overdue ? I am sooo frustrated and no nothing I can do ,am frightened of going too far on my own just in case I kick off in labour and have to drive myself
Dp is back in work and I am dreading keeping DS entertained while I feel so hormonal/tired/pi**ed off ,thankfully there is a new softplay place opened today in our area so gonna take him there tomorrow gathered that if my waters do go there sure it will just mingle in with all the "accidents" that happen at these places:rotfl:plus my friend is the supervisour so wouldn't be too embarrising0 -

Yep... just blame it on the kids!;)
No changing table here... from what I can remember with DS you get used to changing them all sorts of places and at first it was just easier to change them on sofa/bed etc.
Well after a break of about 2 weeks the sickness has returned!!:( And no.. it's not too much chocolate!;) And I've been having period type pains?? I had them up until 12 weeks I think so why they've returned I don't know. I'm 17 weeks now.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Well, had my scan today, and not great news as the baby is definitely bum down and pretty firmly wedged in:(. Felt a bit sorry for myself for a while, but at least the consultant didn't seem to think there was anything to worry about re baby's health. Am booked in for the ECV manual turning procedure on Wednesday, which apparently has a 50/50 chance of working, but am going to give it a try. I know there are risks, but the procedure takes place on the labour ward so we're in the right place if anything goes wrong. Plus i can always cancel if i change my mind. Thanks for the good luck messages, btw!:)
OH has a cold, bless him, so am off to feed him medicine and warm milk. Hoping i don't catch it too!
Have a good night x

I think someone has unscrewed my pelvis.. it is horrible.. I am trying very hard not to move as it hurts! Hopefully it will be feeling better before I am back to school runs next week!
Nails.. I have never cut a baby's nails.. they just snap off on their own and you can just peel them off.. I cut the childrens toenails maybe once every 2-3 years.. they get done then.. they wear down on their own anyway so it is pointless.. I know someone who cut off the very tip of her baby's finger with nail clippers though  loadsa blood by all accounts!
breech.. I put a bag of frozen peas on DD3's head and she whizzed hersef round PDQ lol.. Tiddles she didn't mind the peas but shhated having her head massaged cue turning.. in the middle of the night and it was painful and a bit! they can turn even when you are in labour so i'd not be too bothered.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
