i am 15 + 3 today and since saturday night i have been getting really strange pains. im struggling to explain to OH what they feel like so im gonna try here to see if any of you have experienced anything similiar?
the pain happens way low down below my belly although it feels like it is up inside the top of my vagina? its really werid. it isnt a crampy of muscle pain. the only way i can describe it is that it feels like a nerve is being pressed, you know like when you hit your funny bone on your elbow. it isnt constant just lasts a couple of seconds, but has been happening on and off since sat. it happens even when im laying down completley still. anyone had this before?
Could be little bean kicking or laying on something but if your worried i would get it checked out. My last bubs used to grab me in the foof and it isnt a pleasant feeling at all especially when they get bigger :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
xmaslolly i was wondering about that, but i havent felt the baby move at all yet so i sort of counted out that idea. it is the weirdest feeling and i hate not being able to describe it properly. but it is enough to make me go "oww" every time it happens.i might just make an appointment for gp just to be sure0

Best way to descirbe mine was like an electric shock so yeah banging funny bone probably would be about the same. I shouldnt worry about you not feeling bubs move yet you probably have and havent noticed and they can still cause you discomfort. Mind you i should have taken my own advise on that one been worried sick up until this last couple of weeks as i have felt almost nothing, now little swine wont stop kicking me but hey at least i know he/she is there and well :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

My OH is 6'3" and we have a hauck Condor pushchair which came with the carrycot, carseat and changing bag for £299 i think you can get them for about £230 now but that is a perfect hight for him with handles adjusted to their highest and i just drop them down for me as im only 5'2" but sounds liek you wouldnt need to bother and could just leave them up :-)
I am 5ft 9" and husband is 6ft 3" will have a look at the Hauck condor we have budgeted £300-£500 for a pushchair, carrycot and carseat combo as we know we need one that has adjustable handles so that they can be shrunk down to fit in the boot of car if needed, initially we had seen things like argos travel system for £150ish but know that will be a waste of money now.0 -
actually now that you have said electric shock it kind feels like a bit one of those aswell. i feel so irritated not being able to describe the pain properly lol but its because ive never felt a sensation quite like it before! mw told me it takes up to 18wks to start feeling baby moving i cant wait. think it will make it all seem more real0

Hi Dreambirdie - it sounds similar to a pain I had about a week ago - on and off all afternoon and less so in the evening but I haven't had it since. You're describing the same area too - very low down, I thought of it as a throbbing pain probably at/near my cervix. I'm a newbie to all this so can't offer any more reassurance, if you're worried ring your doctor or midwife.
We've made our first step towards sorting out the "nursery" - gave someone our old bunk beds via freecycle. I now have to go and sort out all the stuff I dumped on our bed earlier (that room was a dumping ground). But I think I can feel baby moving again (always only think, never sure!) so I don't want to move as I know I won't feel it when I'm active.
Anyone wanting to get rid of some easter eggs feel free to send them my way!:D0 -
Those of you who've had babies before - What do you advise re cutting babies nails? I've seen baby nail cutters and nail scissors but my friend said you should just bite them. I don't know if I like the idea of that tho!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

Either or either - i occasionally bit DD's nails if the clippers weren't to hand. I used to do it sometimes while she was b/fding. You can feel the difference between nail and skin easily so you won't bite their little fingers off
Just make sure you don't cut em too close - either by cutting or biting.

You'll still need clippers/little scissors or you'll be biting their toe nails too - lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::pMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0

I have a similar-ish pain I think. I describe it as someone twanging elastic bands on my bits, really lovely. I think it's just stuff stretching but like you I intend to get it checked out as soon as mw is back tomorrow.
Just had lunch with my dear dear friend. She's 3 weeks ahead of me but lives in Hong Kong so it was a real treat being able to speak to someone in real life who's doing the whole baby thing too. Feel a bit more yummy mummy today too which is nice.
Hurry up vibes to JopseyUpdating soon...0
