  • Oh Gilly - i have my fingers crossed bubs sitting nicely upside-down for you!!!! Hopefully just a bony bum and not a head up top. x I'll be eagerly awaiting to hear from you! ;) Good luck!

Thanks Sir-monster. I too had my scan at 22wks - it's a pain in the bum having to wait (which is why i paid for an early one :D) but it'll come round soon for you!

I just got a little cheered up by my mutley :D - it's mean but someone (looked like a JW as they had a small book in hand, prob bible) just knocked the door. My doggie was laying sunning herself under the front door window and as soon as he touched the letterbox she let rip barking like mad at him - it scared the hell out of him and he ran so fast down the steps, the drive and all the way accross the road...HAHAHA that'll teach him - i REALLY don't want to be bothered today!!!! And maybe next time he'll read the 'Beware of the Dog' sign and not come back!!! My doggy sounds like a big dog with a deep bark but really she's only little, lol!

I don't usually let her bark at the door but for today i was glad, lol!

Mo - I can't look at either set of full size pics. Facebook says content unavailable (think you need to make them public) and photobucket wants a password. he looks so cute on the little ones tho :) Look forward to reading your birth story.

Gilly - fingers crossed baby is the right way. let us know how you get on.

I'm feeling really tired today. Didn't get up until 10.30, had a catch up online then went back to bed with book (and some easter egg!!) Starting to come round a bit now but feel like I need to do something. I'm craving KFC so think a trip to the retail park might be in order....

pigpen - are you asking the flavour?

we are in 2 minds! I have always thought I'd prefer a surprise but since we got a name book we were thinking it would be easier to know as we're struggling to find any boys names we like! Well, there's one but it's my nephew's middle name (was my grandad's name) so dh is a bit reticent!

completely different subject - what do you experienced mums think about changing tables? I remember a friend having one and finding it useful. Our flat is all on one level so if we had one if would be in the baby's room and we'd not have to use any stairs to get to it.

No I don't think so..

We aren't even discussing names.. we'll see what it looks like when it gets here.. and pray it doesn't look like a Myrtle or a Terence!

changing tables.. waste of time.. I've had a box with smellies in, a drawer with nappies and a changing mat which slid under the sofa.. but I have always changed mine on my lap anyway.
Pigpen yes we are going to ask the flavour more from a practicality point of view i'm in a 3 bedroom house and already have 2 boys and 1 girl if its a girl great she will be able to share with her sister if its a boy i think we are going to need a rearrange and id rather get it out of the way sooner rather than later. I am feeling a little naughty though and may keep the information to myself and the OH and keep everyone else guessing or would that be cruel ? lol :-)

This will be in my room for at least a year so I'll have more than enough time think about bedroom logistics.. whatever flavour I have no idea where it will go.. the 2 oldest girls have tiny rooms of their own.. there are the 2 boys in the other room and 3 girls in the bigger room.. it may have to go in the shed!

I knew what the last 3 were and never told anyone.. but I can't trust OH won't blab so I'd rather not know than have everyone else know..

I think im to impatient to wait myself I didnt ask with the first one so she was surprise but i have found out with the other two. i think if its another little boy we will ahve to move the lads into the bigger of the two rooms the kids have and turn the garage into a playroom so only their beds and their clothes are in the actual bedroom but then provides logistical problems of its own as the larger room is on the ground floor and my room is on the second floor and even with new bubs in with me for 12 months Joey bubs will be way to young to be down stairs the other option is for us to have the ground floor and put the 3 lads in the master suite ( we would then have the same problem in reverse but my daughter would be upstairs with them too which is better than them being on their own) but then do i trust 3 lads in a room with its own bathroom i can imagine waking up to a flooded house. Arrggghhh why does everything have to be so complicated!!!

Hope you feel better soon MGEB.

Am with fern and pigpen on changing tables, I occasionally changed on dds mat on the floor so she could have barebum time, or usually on lap. Also helpful when you're out or in our town where there are only 2 baby rooms - meant I could take her to a normal loo and get her changed rather than waiting.

MW that did injection yesterday said they were just a precaution, but am considering making an appointment with CMW as they still haven't told me how she's laying, and we're pretty sure that her head is well down.

Hope everyone ok, labour vibes to jopsey hope you got on well today. :)

thanks for all the advice, as fernie says it's funny how people have mixed views! I put a similar question on facebook and a friend has just said she has one I can have...guess that's the easiest thing as no cost so could see whether it's any use to us! I was thinking as much as anything that the space to have all the nappy stuff together would be a good thing!

    Hi everyone,
    A belated congratulations to Nickynoo!
Re changing tables. I didn't have one last time, but I did struggle a bit changing my daughter on the floor initially after my section until I was completely healed. I also suffered from back ache quite a lot. This time around I have actually bought a basic changing table as a bit of a luxury item to get me through the first few weeks after my op....
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

    Hello

Have enjoyed this lovely long weekend really should have done some prep for an exam I have in 2wks but really needed the rest so will set aside some time next weekend, then have another 4wks before a 3,000 word essay is due in after the exam but will blag that I can talk/write for england when necessary!! (ok prob jinxed myself now)

Had a productive day yesterday won a mamas and papas millie sleeping bag for £5 and a grobag rabbit design swaddle for £4.50 on ebay (inc postage) and also lady on netmums is kindly giving me a fisher price baby swing for free collecting en-route to work tommorow at 7.45am!! and finally from freecycle a couple were giving away a baby bath on friday and I emailed saying I couldnt collect til tues (its by work rather than home which is 25mins away) and understood if they would rather it went to someone who could collect sooner well they emailed back today and said as it was the politest reponse they had had they were happy for me to collect tues so will give them a ring tommorow to arrange.

Slowly but surely getting bits sorted cheaply or free where I can. Biggest expensive will be a pram/pushchair as limited on choice with our heights but we know this expense is coming.

Both got a couple annual leave days booked for the elections as we work as poll clerks after tax we get about £100 each - its a long day 7am-10pm but we are together and usually have a laugh with the other 3 people who do it (gotta have same weird sense of humours though!!).

On subject of changing tables due to a back injury I need one and we have looked and all the heights on them are stupid mostly around 85-100cm in height I need 110cm to get up to my waist height (what i need to be comfy), so hubby is heightened some chest of drawers and top of them will be used til baby can roll then will have to do on the bed.

hello ladies hope you dont mind me jumping in to ask a qiuck question?
i am 15 + 3 today and since saturday night i have been getting really strange pains. im struggling to explain to OH what they feel like so im gonna try here to see if any of you have experienced anything similiar?
the pain happens way low down below my belly although it feels like it is up inside the top of my vagina? its really werid. it isnt a crampy of muscle pain. the only way i can describe it is that it feels like a nerve is being pressed, you know like when you hit your funny bone on your elbow. it isnt constant just lasts a couple of seconds, but has been happening on and off since sat. it happens even when im laying down completley still. anyone had this before?

Freebie how tall are you? My OH is 6'3" and we have a hauck Condor pushchair which came with the carrycot, carseat and changing bag for £299 i think you can get them for about £230 now but that is a perfect hight for him with handles adjusted to their highest and i just drop them down for me as im only 5'2" but sounds liek you wouldnt need to bother and could just leave them up :-)
