    Happy Easter ladies!

Congrats to the newbies (OMG a December EDD!!)

Mermaid - what an awful time you're having. Lots of stay put vibes for your little one (we'll have no queue jumping please!!) I agree with xmas that you need to make sure the hospital tell you what's happening so that you can either get prepared or put your mind at ease - it's not fair of them to leave you hanging like this.

bexta - lol that is really funny about your bump but definitely possible :)

rach - I know what you mean about the walking. We went to the post office depot to get a parcel yesterday and decided it would be good for me to get some exercise. It's only a mile and a half away and I was walking the same distance and more when I was off at xmas to get out of the house (approx 21 wks) This time I was shattered! I had to stop and sit on a bench while DH did the last 5 mins! Walk home wasn't quite so bad but it has made me reconsider my walking plans for while I'm off. I want to keep fit until bubs is born but think I need to be a bit more realisitic with what I can do lol

I packed mine and babie's hospital bags yesterday, and have got mattress protector on the bed now. We're at the hospital for a talk and tour on weds so I can hopefully get some more information then about water births etc

We're having a nice afternoon out on the IL's canel boat this afternoon. My parents are coming too and we're going to have a few hours cruising then a short walk to a pub for a nice early tea.

Aww Mermaid, stay put vibes for you!

Labour vibes for Jopsey and anyone else who wants them.

Huge congratulations on all the new births - I'm afraid to list names in case I forget someone!:o

Hello to all the new posters.

I've been having a restful long weekend which I really needed after 4 days at work with a bad cold. I also invited myself to my parents for tea tonight:D as OH is working and I didn't feel like being on my own.

I had some issues with my ebay purchases - the jeans I got are labelled as a size 12 but I swear they're bigger than my size 14 jeans! I know you need space for the bump but surely that's what the elastic is for, and even the legs in these are too big for a 12. Anyway, after getting somewhat disillusioned I splurged in new look yesterday and am now very happy! I did try on some of their jeans but at the moment they gape at the back (I expect that changes when the bump grows?) so instead I bought some bump bands and am currently sat with one over my old jeans, it's great!

I'm glad someone (hassle?) was asking about first movements a few pages ago, I occasionally feel something and wonder if it is the baby but I'm not sure. Sometimes there's a gurgling feeling which is just like normal tummy gurgles pre-pregnancy, but I've also occasionally felt a pop/bubble feeling which I think might be baby. I guess these things become clearer with time.

Hope you're all having a lovely day and eating chocolate!! xxx

    Hi all

Mermaid hun - hope all is well and bubba stays put where its warm and cosy...

Not much going on with me although im convinced my bump has shrunk!!!!
Was laying on my back this morning stretching out my legs and rubbing bump, felt nowhere near the size it does normally, and then Little L wouldnt move for me so got a bit panicked, and then he moved so in that respect, felt a bit better.......
Think its a mental thing from knowing i was measuring behind, although she wasnt worried, so I shouldnt be......god my brain hurts with all this pondering....

Although am now 30 weeks so can start packing my bags now, made a promise to myself that I wouldnt pack them till 30 weeks LOL so im off to google what to put in them

Aw, CAFC, easier said than done, but try not to worry, bubs still has plenty of room to wriggle about and if they get into a different position it can make bump bigger and smaller. Don't worry about your measurements either, many MW don't even bother doing them as they are a fairly inaccurate 'science' anyway, and so many deem them outdated. As long as you keep feeling wriggles (though when they get into a funny position you can feel much less movement anyway) then let that reassure you! Hope your feeling a bit better generally anyway. x

Major stay put vibes for Mermaid! Hope everything is ok... you're due around same time as me. Just to let you know, Ive noticed lots more BH this week and strange movements from bubs- actually thought it might be the real thing a few nights ago. MW told me the lack of room and lively baby may be triggering them- not to mention that head is engaged one minute and then in my hip the next. I think CAFCgirl is due the same time too and she posted about suddenly having BH and strange bump movements this week. I know everyone is different but fingers crossed for you. big_hug.gif XXX

Hope everyone is having a nice easter, not doing the big roast- fancy a jacket potato instead! Less mess and just as yummy... :D

Well done on the walks gill and rach, I'm starting to give up longer distances dur to pelvis pains although dancing around the house seems to be just as fun! :j I really miss going out and havinga good boogie!

Mermaid85 - i hope it works!:) I've never taken stuff like that seriously, but i had quite a spooky expereince with it the other night. My baby is/was in breech, and my MiL said she would try and turn him using Reiki (from a distance - we live 20 miles away!), to which i just smiled and nodded. She even sent me a text apologising for the fact that the baby would be very wriggly overnight. Having totally forgotten about it, I was woken about an hour after i'd gone to bed by the baby moving and stretching loads, and he honestly didn't stop for hours. I got a text the next morning telling me that MiL had been sending Reiki from 11pm the night before, which is EXACTLY when the baby woke me!! Could be total coincidence, but it did make me wonder...:o

Happy Easter everyone!:easter_ba We're having a lovely quiet day, and OH even bought me TWO Easter Eggs - one for me and one for the baby! Although i'm sure he'll be assisting me with the second one...

Slightly nervous about my scan tomorrow - we'll find out if the baby is still breech or not, and whether we can try the manual turning procedure. Have tried all sorts of rediculous positions/activities to turn the llittle blighter, but i don't think he feels any different? Fingers crossed, anyway.

Time to start on those lovely choccy eggs! x

i've got no easter eggs.... how pants... quite fancy some chocolate too.....

Gordon has fallen asleep under the dvd chest of drawers, I wondered where he was but I could hear him snoring, so knew he was somewhere, took me about 10 minutes to find him by noise....he did look rather adorable though.

Just sat here watching the Sin Eater with Heath Ledger, and then Im going to round up all my fairy bits to take to post office on tuesday, right after i watch cheaper by the dozen....

Thanks to all for the comments about baby movements and BH, maybe i've just entered into that phase, of body preparing, and baby getting ready too...

    Hi all

I'm pooped today - church was nice, then had lunch at the in laws and have been chatting to my mum on the phone. Now enjoying slobbing on the bed with the laptop whilst dh is watching tv in the other room. :D MiL gave us an easter egg each and a lovely babygro and cardy set for the baby plus 5 lovely bibs. Very sweet and the first clothes we have!

Gill81uk - we walk loads usually, i'm only 14 weeks so it's really the tiredness not the physical size that's the problem! we are going on hols for 2 weeks start of May and I'm hoping I'll be blooming by then and able to do a bit more!! We would usually walk pretty much every day on the coast path on hols!
