Pigpen if you're thinking of coming to Manchester I'm at Stepping Hill in Stockport and although I haven't had a birth yet, I did think the mat ward "looked nice"* and I've met a few nurses/mws there and they seemed not entirely incompetant. It also has several awards FWIW

Congratulations Pompay and welcome back :-) x
Red rose yay for 14 wks. As for the steraliser i swear by the microwave ones i have two an avent which holds upto 6 bottles and a TT one which can also be used as a cold water steraliser very handy if you go away or for use for the weaning equipment which just gets washed and left in there until needed.
Cafc try not to worry chick i know its easier said than done but im pretty sure that if they had found anything very wrong with your bloods they would have called you straight back in not left you until next week and as for baby being breech as you say you have weeks left for him to turn. glad your appetite is back and yes they do recommend 200 calories extra however i usually find myself munching through enough for another whole person :-) x
Gill i laboured in a mens shirt for the last two of mine and always had a pair of leggings or jeans with me that i could slip on incase i wanted to go wondering about. For the water birth i had planned but never happened i had a tankini top which will be used this time if all goes to plan. I think you can pretty much wear what you want in the pool as long as it doesnt hinder you :-)
Well my day so far hasnt been bad lolly has had a nice birthday she went to her dads this morning and now has her girlfriends here for a sleep over. Bubs has learnt to scream (not a crying scream but an i have found my voice and i am going to use it scream) so i am going to have a banging head by tonight lol :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Congrats Pompeygirl and Red Rose!
Labour vibes to Jopsey. But  coz once you've gone i'll be no. 6 on the list!
I've heard the 200 extra calories thing too, and am probably taking to it slightly too enthusiastically if today is anything to go by! I've had two breakfasts, two lunches and an Easter Egg, and am now planning a takeaway dinner in front of the Haye v Ruiz fight. Am not remotely interested in boxing normally, but if i want to see OH at all today i'm going to have to embrace Sky Sports!
My whole house is fully covered in drying baby clothes, nappies, moses sheets and towels. I've never been so excited about hanging out the washing before!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend filled with Easter Eggs and Hot Cross Buns x x xDebt free date: October 2006 :money:0 -
i think maybe in that case I need to create a meal plan which means I'm actually getting the calories I need.... I went through a stage of eating loads, and although my appetite is back, Im still not consuming good calories or enough full stop....
Thing is I did say to midwife since its bank holiday weekend isnt that going to mean it takes longer to get my bloods, and all she said was she was working all weekend, so she'd keep checking them and call me.
And then she pointed out the extra ones take longer anyway, hence the booking me in for one week, and said the results should be back by then, taking into account bank holiday.
Think she also wants to check Im ok after nearly fainting after bloods, and wants my pee sample LOL
Oh well just have to wait and see what happens then!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Depends on the hospital i suppose but i know mine when i had the ectopic a couple of years ago almost did work over a bank holiday and they had my results the next day.
I shouldnt worry to much about your eating your body has stores of the things you need and will make you crave the things your low on you will probably find that your appetite will come back with a vengance in the next few weeks. are you taking a pregnancy supplement i wouldnt normally bother but if your not eating the way you normally would it may be sensible :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

Thanks Xmas....
I was thinking the same thing to myself.... I do still have some pregnancy vitamins loitering around so might start on those. At least I'll know then that baby has access to the nutrients, Im not bothered if I'm lacking LOLWealth is not measured by currency0
