re freaky friends - I'd just say outright, we've been friends for a while now but with baby and my relationship, I need to spend more time at home, alone, with my new family. When I'm able to, I'll still keep in contact but for now Im going to have to step back from our friendship. I hope you understand and can respect this.

As blunt as it sounds, it seems like it needs to be pretty blunt for her to get the message. And if she just turns up at my house out of the blue, I would just say Im too busy for visitors, and I'll call her when Im free and just shut the door...

Theres no point upholding friendships which are one sided....

Kitkat - Think it was you that mentionnd my tattoo....its unfinished LOL and its one of the many ways in which I know I've grown LOL...I knew the measurements for it, top to bottom, and its expanded by a considerable amount LOL.....DH says it looks better as it is now..... so will defo have to get it finished when little L pops out.....

Had my cheese sandwich it was yummy, however, chip on one of my back teeth meant that another section of it fell off whilst I was eating... eurgh!
Oh and then I ate 8 of my chocolate butterfly cakes whilst watching Premonition... was quite impressed with that film!

  • Ok, as i clicked reply i remembered - Sorry, lol!

Does anyone have any idea of how long after dropping right to the pelvis the window usually is for going into labour? I remember only feeling like this with DD in the last week.

I have phoned midwife again and left message, as i remebered she hadn't called back from last time i called. Trying to get an appointment asap incase.

I have had that really low feeling since last week, period type pains and i can feel bubs head grinding in my pelvis when he moves about. No more blood apart from what i can only assume was the show last week -sorry if TMI.

Everyone (and i mean EVERYONE) has commented on the fact i have dropped really low since they saw me last - so i know i'm not just imagining it. The bump is now down on my pelvis, i feel like i'm gonna sit on his head when i sit down and have to sit legs spread like a bloke, lol!

I dont wanna go hosp as it's a mission to get there and i can't afford to go back and forth by cab coz it's just under £20 each way :( But community midwives are based just 5mins walk from here - just struggling to get hold of them :( So thought i'd ask you ladies incase anyone is feeling the same, then i'll know i'm prob ok. :)

MGEB - DH said my photo made me look a lot smaller compared to the whale of a wife he sees before him..... maybe its just my inability to photograph myself! I've had so many people out and about thinking im gonna drop any minute, so really noone knows if anyone is big or small, or just about right by the sounds of it LOL

Speaking of which - just back from my 36 week appointment and looks like little lad is still in breech, so am booked in for a scan to confirm. If so, looks like i'll need to decide whether to go for ECV (manual external turning of the baby by a consultant, i believe). If that doesn't work, they recommend a caesarean. Keep trying to tell myself that a healthy baby is all that matters, but am still suprisingly dissapointed that it might be taken out of my hands. :(

Have you had a look on the website Spinning babies? I have never tried but i have heard good things - not just for trying to naturally turn breech babies but for a bit of pain relief and getting baby to get into correct position. Might be worth a look, if it works then fantastic, if not you haven't lost anything trying ;)

Hope your enjoying your first day of ML too! x

Precisely - i look much smaller in photos too, i think it's the angle i stand in them, lol! I also think people just see a bump and feel compelled to say something, anything, its just the one of two things usually are 'Your looking neat' or 'Your looking huge' lol - and both will make you self concious! :p

  • Seriously the midwives here are crap, i just check the phone line and it's deffinately plugged in - so she is just simply taking her sweet time in getting back to me....grrrrr! Unless another lady is in labour and she's with her, then i'll let her off, lol! BUT surely they haven't been in labour since last friday...so i don't know what the excuse is there!:mad::mad:

I really miss being 5mins from the hosp - if i was i'd just go in! Why on earth did i move a million miles from a hosp....grrrrrrrr!

LOL CAFC is so true and wouldn't you just love to say what you really think on some photos. Don't think I will post bump pics, just do some to keep for ourselves.

I hide people of facebook as well, rather than cut them off as not interested in their lives but don't want to explain why I'm not their 'friend' anymore.

Feeling excited as got my sainsbury's vouchers for my free bundle and other vouchers. Think will have to get them before their third off event finishes tomorrow, as have to buy some huggies nappies to get it - but what size do I get as didn't realise was so much choice!
