Bexta i forgot to mention i dont know if anyone else had this experience but i went into H&M to try their maternity gear on and the sizing is awfull i couldnt get into a 14 and im normally a 12 and there was no way i was going to get a size 16 sod that :-)

I used to work for H&M and all their trousers are useless if you have any curve at all. I swear they are only made for men or waifs :D

I have a pair of jeans from red herring in Debenhams. They are great, over the bump, really stretchy and so comfy. I also live in leggings and dresses, the asda £6 leggings are good I found, stretchy and keep their elasticity, although they are supposed to be over the bump and I am only 24 weeks and they just fit over bump now so in a month or so not sure they would really work out iyswim.
  • Afternoon all,

Congratulations LMF!!! WEll done on the new arrival! With my DD the midwife didnt believe i was ready to push either - like you said, you have to listen to your body - they dont know everything!

Big labour vibes to you all at the top of the list now!!!

I've been awfy sore today not really caught up on much of what anyone's said, just scanned through for news of new babies! lol
Spent yesterday walking around the SECC in Glasgow for the Craft Fair, spent a wee bit of cash on myself for a change and peeled all the price stickers off before getting home! lol
Gonna start working on thank you cards for when the wee one is here - made them all after dd was born so they would be pink or blue depending on what arrived but thinking will just do neutral/yellow tones this time round and get them done now before the arrival!

hope everyone else is doing well, hopefully have more time to catch up over the weekend, going to try and have a nap now before dinner.

    take care everyone,
    mo x

Som, people do expect a lot from new parents, you'll prob have to put your foot down! In one way, this is where hospital visiting times can be helpful, but then they also restricted OH visiting when I was in with DD so want HB this time! You could try telling people what times they are welcome to visit?

Yeah, I think at my hospital dads and siblings (of baby) can come 9 - 12, then 12 - 3 is STRICTLY NO VISITING then 3 - 8 is everyone allowed

But OH is really not looking forward to being kicked out at 8pm and leaving me and beany in there :(

If I end up in my own room (my hospital has singles, doubles and quads) do you think you could stretch them a bit? like for him to go at 9?

Som well the nap was ok but I woke myself up with a mouth full of regurgitated (sp?) juice nearly choking! dont know what thats all about, and loads of little spots of blood all over pillow (off my ripped lips)

Ah I'm not figity yet lol I guess I am lazier than you lmao (I am lazy lol) I am well wrecked though, only managed on my ball for 5 mins today, mind the walk to the shop killed me lol

Bexta lol I think the shop workers would get a mega fright lol

I was well !!!!ed off in Herons, all my stuff went through the till, the tills had the things you put on the conveyour, you know the dividers, and I was packing my bags when loads of stuff came through that wasnt mine

I was like argh thats not mine!

I glared at the woman behind me, I felt like saying for !!!!s sake stupid cow use the !!!!ing divider, and all she said was "eeeee I'm just watching it go through" yeah you are you idiot!

So the till woman had to call a manger to cancel the itrems!

    Hello,
Jopsey, wow that's a rough time of it. I hope you guys are in for a better run.

Brednall, Jessica is a lil cutie.

Kindof, I wonder if Argos or Greggs do discounts if you go into labour in one? Sounds like lil man's getting ready to bust out though!

Where do you lovely ladies rate for maternity jeans. I'm either going to have to get my bum to York to physically try them on, or go online. I thought I coul maybe get away with a bigger size than usual, but that just didn't work. Only Dotty Ps actually sell any here and they've only got skinnies or 'jeggings' - which I NEVER wear, cos they do nothing for me. Also, thick question, but would you advise, if I bought online, to go my 'usual' size, or to go up one?
I have had a couple of pairs of jeans from Next. Very reasonable and they fit very well. They are the over the bump type and have seen me through all of my pregnancy. I am now nearly 37 weeks and they still fit me well. And I would go for the size that u normally are fitted.
    Hope that helps

    Hello everyone :D

My stitches are finally gone! No more catapilla boob :p
The nurses were really nice, they said that they thought i was having a boy as i was carrying all out front and nice whereas people with girls tend to swell more on the face and shoulders. So i felt good about myself hehe.

Went to MW, baby is fine, she was asleep though and wouldn't move at all. She's is slightly back to back and still quite engaged. Dont know how many 5ths though.
Im seeing her next Friday, then Sunday 14th im booked into hospital for a sweep. If i haven't had baby by then :)

At OH's parents shop i found some designs i want for my new tattoo, and MIL is going to draw up some ideas for me :)

We went to Burger King to :D

Aaaand, i finally got a changing bag! Went to TKmaxx, and got a Paul Frank one for £29.99, was $80 to start with.
    And here it is :D
