Just heard from my friend - everything was fine with scan and she's having a girl
I'm super excited coz now I'll have a little girl to spoil lol. Plus I predicted it a few weeks agoMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Kelinik - love the bump pic! I don't think you look overly huge for 35 weeks. I think people just love making personal comments to pregnant women lol
And you can be my new best friend!Anyone out there with hypnobirthing experience???
I haven't but am completely agreed with the idea that how you approach it mentally has a huge impact on the overall experience, its basically why I decided to try for a homebirth this time. Home is my safe haven from the world and if I can stay here I know I can cope.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
Bored!!! What to do with my self?? Have now been off over 4 weeks and this is growing tiresome. TV is ok for a while but I get the fidgets after a while and the house work is done to death! Comp only entertains for so long too, books same as TV! Now am overdue and feel like I shouldnt go too far from the house incase anything kicks off, mainly for the sake of the dog! Am, also getting anxious over what OH family expects when she is here. Think his mum is expecting to see LO everyday and either us to go to them or OH to pick her up and bring her here. Also silly I know but both OHs brothers smoke and dont want them handling bubs stinking of smoke. I also think everyone is gonna think am being really over protective but dont want everyone man handling her and her being passed around constantly, have heard this can make baby very hard to settle! Also am concious that BFing and lack of sleep will mean things here are a gonna be a lil all over the shop for the first few weeks, and OH only has 2 weeks paternity so its important to us both/all we get into a routine asap without people popping by all the time! I know I sound a lil freaked and maybe parnoid, please fell free to give me a mental kick up the bum! Oh and sorry for the me post.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Hello,
Jopsey, wow that's a rough time of it. I hope you guys are in for a better run.
Brednall, Jessica is a lil cutie.
Kindof, I wonder if Argos or Greggs do discounts if you go into labour in one? Sounds like lil man's getting ready to bust out though!
Where do you lovely ladies rate for maternity jeans. I'm either going to have to get my bum to York to physically try them on, or go online. I thought I coul maybe get away with a bigger size than usual, but that just didn't work. Only Dotty Ps actually sell any here and they've only got skinnies or 'jeggings' - which I NEVER wear, cos they do nothing for me. Also, thick question, but would you advise, if I bought online, to go my 'usual' size, or to go up one?

Congrats to LMF:j
Nice bump Kel;)
Awww lovely pic of Jessica:)
Tiny bit of spotting again this morning and still feeling crappy:(
Anyone just watch The Wright Stuff?? They were going on about pain free births especially hypnobirthing.
Hi Smartie, i had spotting between 5-6, 12-13 and 16-17 weeks. Think cos it was all around when my period was due. everything's been fine each time
I have a couple of friends who are doing hypnobirthing and are due at the end of April, so i will let you know how they get on! a friend of a friend also did it a few months ago and had a really good birth with just gas and air and TENs and she really recommended it. Not sure I would actually do the course, but want to definitely use some of the techniques0 -
Smartie at least you have proper songs all i could remember the words to was the rainbow theme tune and kept singing it over and over again :rotfl:
Bexta i have gotten me three pairs from peacocks and they have been fab and are the most comfortable jeans i have found they are a little skater boyish IE baggy but that is brilliant when your getting big and all the other jeans just seem to get tighter and tighter. They were £15 a pair so relatively cheap although i paid a fraction of that due a kind work collegue giving me a 40% off voucher :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

Aww hun I remember feeling exactly the same when I went overdue with my last bub, made worse by the fact the first came 10 days early! Do you know what I did, I sat at the patio doors with a big pot of my then 2 yr olds bubbles and blew them out into the garden, even at 3 am one time! Don't know what put the idea in my head but I find bubbles very calming anyway, it gave me something to do with my hands, made me breathe slowly and was probably what kept me sane at the time!
I might add I did buy DD1 replacement bubbles once her sister had finally arrived!:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -

I got mine from New Look, mainly for the price as I managed to get them for £4 in the sale. I am wearing the under bump ones with the stretchy pocket panels and they fall off in my normal size (currently 24 weeks) but I seem to remember the size down being a bit too tight. Definitely something I'd recommend trying on. If you're buying online though, definitely try your normal size first, it might just be me being awkward shaped!0 -
Thanks EA, I hate clothes shopping with a passion, so didn't even think of Peacocks. Thanks Esio, I too am an 'awkward' shape, normally a 10, but with a bum and thighs - something clothing manufacturors seem to forget about!

New Look is where I have bought mine and I got them in my normal size which has been plenty big enough. Having to wear them with a belt for the moment but they are so comfy and I just bought another pair for £8 in the sale0
