OOh I'm a bit further up north, past the highlands in Morayshire. Bloomin nasty weather here, getting fed up of the snow now.

I am 33 weeks today, got 5 weeks 5 days until baby makes an appearance!

    Jolene

I was up there in the summer, have a friend who is originally from Lossie so spent a couple of days there before heading over to Wester Ross. Was dead nice holiday actually, especially as it was that scorching week end of June/beginning of July - can imagine it's not so nice when it's miserable out! We've had snow too this week though it rained and cleared already thankfully.

    ---

I think baby may have been having a proper wriggle about today, he's kicking downwards and towards my back, rather than at my belly as it felt before - really weird!

Also, almost got the nursery finished today though I can't stop popping my head in to look! Should be finished tomorrow hopefully - still got the doors to paint and the wardrobe to make up.

    Hello,

We live in Elgin, just a few miles from Lossie, hubby works at Lossie, he is in the RAF. I remember that week, that was when we moved up here! And my 30th! We went to the beach for my birthday because of the nice weather only for it to rain and thunder when we got there! We still walked on the beach though and had a picnic under the umbrella. Best birthday ever!

  • OHG! I leave to go out yesterday and come back today and there's LOADS to read. :o
First off though....congratulations to Nikkit! :T Lovely name, great weight and super quick to go home...well done!
Going out with Mum yesterday was great. She took me to a few places and I spent some money but was in a bad mood. Don't know why but I just was. It was still nice to be out of the house though. When I got home I cleaned the fridge which didn't need doing but I wanted something to do. :rotfl:
Today has been more cleaning, dusting and hoovering. :D I got round to the mirrors as well so that is a job well done. We then took the dogs for a walk but still no baby. Tomorrow my OH will be taking me out to the city centre for a walk and some retail therapy. :j Will then have another walk with the dogs and hope to drop the baby out! :rotfl:
As you can see from my signature, I was due today but nothing happening I'm afraid! Maybe tomorrow?!
    :love:Baby Bump born 4th March 2010! :kisses:
  • wow, small world! Was my birthday then too, was the reason we took our holiday when we did!

    Congratulations Nikkit!

Not a happy body here. Gave in to my cravings and now my glucose level is through the roof, checked my bp and that's stupidly high and I have a cold sore, so can't even kiss Joseph goodnight :(. So another weekend where I'm gonna feel like it's all gonna end badly :(. Pants.

This afternoon I got J ready in his wellies, dog all excited at the prospect of a huge walk and everyone in the car when the rain started up again. So we got to see the forest and half the huge carpark taken up with the Harry Potter film crew (they filmed here last year and apparently Neville is doing his scenes now-ish). I let dog out for toilet, but then it was straight home. I couldn't even be bothered to go snooping in this weather .

Huge hugs to everyone struggling xx

pigpen - Ive met some of those types, but have to say on the whole around our area anyway most of the NHS staff are really lovely, more that the system is a lil unorganised IMO!

Mo - 7lb6 sounds ok to me :D Hope you enjoyed your KFC :D

Esio & Jolene - jelous of you both living in scotland (tho maybe not so much atm with all the snow?) its such a beautiful place and have visited some great places and have fab memories up there. Havent been for about 8 years, but when I dated my last bf who was from Glasgow we would be up there every few months and I miss it.

Guinea - hope bubs doesnt plan on keeping you waiting too much longer, lots of speedy and easy labour vibes for you xx Am gonna go food shopping later with OH, will probably pay the price for it later tonight, but hoping the walking about might help things along. Oh and I have grumpy for no reason days too lol.

Agutka - poor you for your washout day, its a nightmare walking dogs in the rain, but they need to go out. Ours is a real grump when we dry him with towels so he ends up wrapped up in them and not allowed in the living room till he is dry. Which forest did you head out to?

Right gotta go chuck some clothes on and drop the OH at work so I have the car for MW at 10.30. OH has just sprayed the bedroom with his stupid deodrant tho so may choke for a bit first!!

Congratulations Nikkit, and well done to Confuzzled too, you've both cheered me up lots :D

Just need to have a quick moan, already cried all over DH. I had an awful dream last night about baby, don't want to say exactly cos putting it down on paper makes it even worse and more real but it's enough to say my pg didn't end well :( . I'm finding work really tough at the moment too and have no idea how I'm supposed to manage being pregnant, a full-time teacher, a wife and a mum. We only went back on Monday and already I'm so tired I feel like I'm struggling to cope, I just can't be arsed at the moment with rude children (and trust me, there's a lot of them). I actually had to chuck two 6th forms boys out of the lesson today for talking and giving me dirty looks when I challenged them, !!!!!! they're supposed to be young adults. I'm being such a cow to loads of the kids which isn't fair on them and I don't like being like that. I'm 15 weeks now and although I feel much better and more active (I even managed to put a load of washing in the machine last night!) than I did before 12 weeks I'm still really tired and feel really hormonal. I keep thinking about my little baby when I'm yelling at some kid and how awful it must be for it to hear me squalking on like that.

    Sorry, moan over. Friday tomorrow

Awwww (((hugs)))) it does get better, I was wrecked at the start, but got so much better in the middle, just got a little bit tired again towards the end xxx

Gill I am pleased Mothercare are ok :)

EA did you use your fingers or did you cheat and use breast pump lol

    Gill yay for HIPG

Pigpen I may have had other symptoms but had I not gone to the MW they wouldnt have been tied in with the BP and the results could have been disatertous

Som I am being lazy as well lol I only managed to drink one RLT yesterday not doing so good lol I just whinge that he isnt here lol

Such a good idea about asking MIL to help with the ironing of the babies clothes, I told MIL I had sorted the kitchen for 4 horus and she was like ohhh you should have rang me and I was like no that defeates the object lol I am keeping busy to get beany moving lol

Are people washing brand new baby clohtes? I am scared they will bobble straight away and ruin before bean has had a chance to wear them

Whats in the big daddy box?

OH has just gone off to work, I dont know whether to start cleaning straight away or chill out for a bir first, hmms

I do have lots of little jobs I could do, hmms lol

Hi ladies, am biting the bullet and admitting it is time to join you all. I am now 13 weeks and had my scan on Monday. Saw baby, heard heartbeat and nuchual results were good. Bubs is due 1st September.

Been putting off joining you as still dont really feel pregnant. but as am getting a bump decided its probably time.

I am starting to compile a list of things I need (I love lists), but am not sure what I need sleeping bag wise. Do I need a few in each tog? Will 1 tog do but have a few in that strength? What are you ladies doing?

hassle - welcome to the thread, dont worry most folks dont join us till ther past the 12 week marker. Pleased your scan and results were good. As for sleeping bag togs you need to think if baby is due summer or winter and how warm your home is? So bubs could be due winter but if the house is still nice and toastie then you may be ok with a 1tog still, and dont forget you can always layer up baby with, sleep suit underneath and a blanket over the top if need be.

Kindof - the big dady box meal is the same as the fully loaded but the fillet sandwich has hashbrown and bacon and is automatically large :D Seem to be just about cramming in the 4 RLTs a day, tho sometimes end up drinking two almost back to back!
