I think £70,000-£160,000 a year should just about cover my living expenses, I'd not be greedy enough to complain I wanted more for working on average a 3 day week like most consultants do, with leave whenever I couldn't be bothered to work!!
They go into this job knowing exactly how much training is required and what is entailed they are interested in nothing more than the pay cheque in most cases!
They make nurses lives a misery have serious God complexes and do not know best.
I'd do it... I'd love to.. and not for the money but so I could say well actually you are being wet you CAN do this and this you just don't want to.. and no this is not possible for this reason.Same here. First time round I put lots of thought into exactly what I did and didn't want and wrote it all neatly as bullet points in my notes. I put a lot of emphasis on not wanting to be cut - guess who got cut! The second time I just scribbled a couple of things down on a piece of paper but nobody read it. This time I've told hubby not to let them give me pethidine as it made me really ill but other than that I just want bub out of me safely.
DD2 went straight into 0-3 months at birth and was in 3-6 months at 6 weeks so I've not bothered with any newborn stuff this time. If he stuns everyone by being under 10lb I'll just have to roll his sleeves up I guess LOL!
My birth plan is in the form of a door wedge on the INSIDE of the door so noone can come in without my permission!!
I've got a whole stash of 5-7.5lb sleepsuits.. mine were 3-5 months before they were in 0-3 stuff.. teeny babies here!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

morning all
have any of you joined things like the tesco and Sainsburys baby & toddler clubs? I won't join yet until I know everything is ok but as I'm off work I'm surfing a bit and seeing what's available. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow, fingers crossed only 3 to go and 3 weeks 3 days til my scan!
Hi Rach
I signed upto all the websites I could think of when I was about 8 weeks, Sainsburys is good, although I havent picked up the freebie yet, but you also get vouchers, I am still waiting for my Boots Parent Club stuff to come through, but I did receive a cute Aptimal polar bear yesterday! I've had odds and ends of coupons, freebies that I am keeping all together for when bubs arrives. One pointer; if your going to use coupons check the expiry dates as some of them are way before my baby will be due so I am making sure I pick bits up soon!!0 -
Ive still not had the polar bear and I am nearly due!Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

I've had the aptamil bear but not boots either - been over 5 weeks now and they said 4 when I joined. Hope it comes soon as I want to see what the free change bag is like before decided whether to buy one or not.
Lansinoh came really quickly and had some breast pads and milk freezer bags for anyone who intends to breast feed.
Think hipp, bounty and emmas diary were the others I joined. Oh no actually I think I did pampers and huggies as well.... *goes off to check*:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
