I've been having much more snotty thick discharge recently, sorry tmi!
Infact this is tmi to, but the other day i wiped and checked the tissue (even though im about ready to pop im still very paranoid lol) and as i checked it a massive stringy bit flew up and almost hit me in the face! :rotfl::eek::o
:rotfl: I'm laughing cos i know its true!! I have had the same for most of my pg - hubby doesn't want anything to do with me!!! :rotfl:(In itself not a bad thing cos i'm too huge and sore with the spd!);)This one.. I'm not even warning the hospital I am coming.. I'm turning up.. without any notes at all and they can practice their lack of professionalism.. I am refusing to even give them my name until after the birth.
Go Pigpen!! With the first two of mine i had no clue about consent and saying no to the midwife, i just assumed you had to go with what they said and leave your own opinions at home - to the point that after dd i was getting clexane injections for their percieved risk of blood clotting to me! Since doing my nursing training and seeing more within hospitals etc I am totally going to stand my ground and as far as possible have things done MY way, not theirs just for their convenience!
Congratulations Nikkit!!!
and twinkles and KT.... think i missed those announcements!!
Confuzzled - well done honey, hope you're keeping well!! take care
Had another scan today - the mw was concerned the baby would be huge but consultant said no issues and that i could cancel the scan if i wanted to... figured i'd go anyway and hope for a glimpse so i'd know what we're having (they dont tell you at my hosp!). Turns out baby's fine size wise but on the 95th percentile - 7lb3 already with 5 weeks to go!!! gearing up to be bigger than my first two... Argh! Looks like i wont be needing the newborn stuff for long, if at all!

:j:j:j Knew you'd get there in the end!! Congratulations hun.
4 hour discharge?! Must have gone very smoothly! You deserved an easy labour in the end after the last couple of weeks0 -
Evening everyone.
HUGE congratulations to Nikkit (at long last...!!! I've been waiting to say that!)
Well, midwife visit wasn't great. Apparently she's worried that the baby's measuring small - I'm 32+2, but I'm measuring 30, so she's referring me for another scan for as soon as possible. I had to point out that I'm going away for the week on Saturday, and she said, well it'll wait until I get back and not to worry... how can I not worry, when she's just been telling me that she's concerned!?!Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

:j Yay congrats Nikki- just went and checked FB before coming on here and gave a little " yesssssssssssssss" when I read your status.
Good weight and lovely name too.
I hope MK hosp were good to you- yay for coming home v soon, obviously everything must've gone very well:j
SJ MK hosp like to get rid of their ladies asap if they can so if things have been problem free they send the mums and babies home straight from the delivery room and just have to take bubs to dr's within a week for a check:)
If you want to go up to the maternity ward to re-couperate you then have to wait to be seen by a paediatric dr to check bubs before they'll discharge you.
With dd1 I went to mat ward after she was born on a fri lunch and they didn't send a dr to check her til sunday afternoon-was sooo fed up.
So with ds and dd2 I came home straight from del room and cos they were busy when I had dd2 they wanted their room quick so she was born at 5.50 am and I was home just as kids were getting up:oBusy mummy of 4.:j0 -
Congrats Nikkit, glad it all went quickly for you! Welcome to the world Thomas.0
