Sonee - which mat pillow are you on about, the V shape or the long one? either way check out ebay before you buy as they do them way cheaper and still new.

Esio - deff ask in some of the shops, I know at my shop we happily give them away if there not needed, tho it would only be the basic plastic ones and not the fancy wooden ones. Also have you maybe thougt of something like these, we dont have space in our room for a big set of drawers, so got them to tide us over till we move (hopefully).

EA - your Birth plan sounds fine, tho both yours and gyms are way more detailed than mine lol, am basically gonna go with the flow!

rach - I used to have that ikea wardrobe tidy and the slightly bigger one and there fab when your short of space.

xmas - boo at that old witch where you work grrr!

Well went with OH to dentist, just made it on time. Shops were pants so didnt spend long looking about, but OH has agreed to KFC :D Will have to go back out later tho as 4 was a bit early. Still grey and raining here :(

Good idea, i'll add onto the end 'unless it is necessary to do so'.

I only stated it because i dont want to be forced to lay in bed throughout the labouring and want to be active, which i heard isn't possible when your strapped to a machine.

    Thank you :D

When I had DS I was able to keep a monitor on and move about but I think there is a time when they get you to lie down for a short time to get consistant readings - i deffo agree with moving about sitting, standing, on all fours I was in every shape possible but I ended up birthing on lying on my back from waters breaking to delivery was just under 5 hours ( I'll insist on keeping moving this time round)

We've been to TK Maxx today - ours had a lot of the stuff in that was on offer online but wasn't as cheap (the moses basket mattress was £7.99 I think - it was £3 online). Was going to get a changing mat but didn't in the end.
In the end I decided to go for it (had been nervous about buying stuff too early as still only just under 9 weeks!). In the end I went online and bought the babygym and a couple of the 'guess how much I love you' moneybox and rabbit sets. Was still only £20.

If anyone is looking there is a Quinny on ebay for around £100 - finishing soon. I'd go for it myself but DH will go mad and say its too early!

  • When I think about birth plans I put in my last one that I only wanted ventose/forceps if absolutely necessary - didn't want to have forceps just because the MF wanted to go for her lunch ( not that that happens but just in case )

Rach.. I got my pushchair at 13 weeks..

I'm picky.. I want a wicker basket not a floppy moses basket.. I envisage larger children lying on the side to have a peep and crushing squeak!

And I gave up bothering with birth plans.. noone ever read them anyway.

This one.. I'm not even warning the hospital I am coming.. I'm turning up.. without any notes at all and they can practice their lack of professionalism.. I am refusing to even give them my name until after the birth.

pigpen - I told DH about you the other day when he refused to let me give half his details on the form....'they can have my name and that's it'.... he is a male version of you in that way...

am very tempted by the quinny, would be great for us.

LOL.. The form has OH's name and phone number.. he lives here so the address is simple enough... but that is it..

My details it has the name.. how many pregnancies I've had, how many m/c and how many children.. that's it.. I refused to give them dates or any info for the m/c's and births.. if they want it.. they can read through my 3 files of obstetric notes... MWAHAHAHAAAA... They don't read them when you are there and they are current notes, or from one shift to another.. so there is no way they'll read 19 year old notes!!

I can't want for the appt on wednesday.. I am refusing to be seen by the MW and won't submit to any of the stupid 'pee sample' this and 'blood pressure' that rubbish.. I am going to discuss blood results and see the consultant and I refuse to partake in their exercise in time wasting!!

TBH I think you lot on here know more about me than the hospital will be told!
