Since Gym posted hers, i thought i might post mine to get some opinions before i show MW tomorrowBirth PlanBirth Partner:
- My partner Felix Valentine. Telephone number is 0xxxxxxxxxx.
- I want him to be with me at all time.
Before Labour:- If I get to 41 weeks I would like to discuss induction of labour. And also have a membrane sweep done.
During Labour:
1st Stage:- For the first stage of labour I wish to remain at home for as long as I can.
When I feel I cant handle the pain any longer I shall come into hospital. - In hospital I would like to have gas and air and try to avoid having pethidine.
- I would like to be left alone as much as possible. I would also not want to be strapped to a monitor as I want to remain as active as I possibly can.
- I would like to have the option of trying the birthing pool.
2nd Stage:- If I do use the birthing pool during the first stage, I would like to give birth in the pool to.
- I do not mind having student midwives observing the birth.
- Positions for birthing. Squatting, Kneeling, Upright, Laying on side, Being In The Pool. Not on back.
- I would rather not have an episiotomy, unless it is absolutely necessary for a forceps/ventouse delivery.
- Stitches to be done by qualified member of staff
- Skin to skin with baby. Baby to be wiped over first.
- Breastfeeding
- I agree to my baby receiving vitamin K.
3rd Stage:- I am happy to be given the injection to assist in delivery of the placenta.
Emergency C Section:- I would like to be told what is happening and why I need the C Section.
- Epidural rather than general anesthetic for the c-section.
- Skin to skin after C-Section.
After the birth:- If all goes to plan and I have a normal delivery I would like to be home within the 6 hour discharge.
- If I have to have an emergency C Section I wish to recover in my own room if possible and be able to go home as soon as possible.

Looks good EA, dunno if it's different where you are but you can't use the birthing pool here til you're 5cm? Might be worth asking the MW?
Wow MLSL you make me feel disorganised, just bought my TENS on eBay at...38+4, oops!
Esio dunno where you can buy but maybe try Freecycle? I've seen them come up a few times on our local oneBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

Thanks, but unfortunately, that chain doesn't exist in Scotland0 -
Another minor thing EA, dunno if you're fussed, but might be worth mentioning whether Felix wants to cut cord or not? My OH really doesn't want to and doesn't want to be asked, so made sure I put it on there!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0

Thats a really good birth plan EA You managed to whittle the four page original down then ;-)
You may want to put in about the cord being cut does your OH want to do it and do you want it left attached until it has stopped pulsing. Other than that i cant see anything personaly that you may want to add :-)
Edit: Gym beat me to it lol :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Esio have you had a quick look on the Woolworths website they used to do them. Another option is when you buy always ask to keep the coathangers the clothes came on it does take a while to build up a little stash but i have loads now and didnt cost me a penny :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Well I have just been to boots and brought tommee tippee breast pump half price at £12.50 and pack 2 bottles half price at £3.99 made it up to £25 with a vest, some nappies so I could use my £5 off a £20 spend but still get the bonus points for baby stuff thats on at the moment
was all excited as thought it was 10 times the points ie- normally 4 points per pound so normally 80 points so thought would get 800 points - well did seem to good to be true its 10 points per pound when you spend over £20!!! well never mind still got a couple bargains!!
Treated us to marks and spencers dine in meal for 2 for £10 for tommorow or sat and also brought the pizza meal deal thats on for £5 for dinner tonight.0 -

Good idea with Woolies, unfortunately, none! I'm so surprised that they seem this difficult to get a hold of. May have to resort to Ebay though I'd rather avoid it if I can (little afraid of it!).
I've kept all the hangers I've been given but Next don't give you the option and I've bought a lot online which haven't come with hangers.
Oh well, shall keep trawling the net!0 -
We have a local shop (not part of a chain) that gives away free coat hangers (they have a box near the door) so maybe it'll be worth while asking in some shops??BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120
