There is no reason to.
If I was unwell I'd see the GP (actually I probably wouldn't but that's me lol)
If there was an emergency I'd go to a hospital, but not the one here.
I do not need to be poked and prodded and spoken to in a rude or condescending manner and I will not subject myself to the ridicule or mercy or the idiocy of people who know nothing of my circumstances and not much more about what they are trying to tell me.
And I certainly won't be subjecting myself to 2 hour waits in a hospital for a 10 second appointment with a prejudiced jumped up overpaid moron without a very good reason... I have already had my consultant changed before the first appointment.. I told the MW I wouldn't see any consultant and refused consultant led care because I don't need it and I certainly don't want it.. so I am VERY dubious about whether these blood results are even legitimate because the MW rang and begged me to go to a consutant afte rmy booking appointment.
They get 1 appointment, on my terms.. and that's it. I am perfectly capable of contacting the hospital or the GP should I need something.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

If you have raised BP you have other symptoms first.. headaches, nose bleeds, seeing 'sparkles' for example.. plus I have never had high bp ever.. other than when having just had a blazing row with a moron consultant.. pre-eclampsia you get swelling, pains in bump and other symptoms.. it is just about knowing what to look for mostly.
I am the same height every appointment I don't need measuringI know when my baby is growing and when it isn't.. I get fatter.. it isn't rocket science. When DS3 wasn't growing and I told them repeatedly, they said he was fine... until he was born 2lb lighter than they expected clearly with IUGR and I took GREAT delight in saying 'told you so' to everyone.. I even made a couple of special trips just to say it such was the gratification! They weren't far.. and I was passing.. but it felt good. Each week after 20 weeks is a cm above the navel.. each week before a cm below.. and then it depends on who it is and how the baby is laid what the measurements come out as. mine tend to be a little less as they are back-to-back.. transverse babies even less and breech babies slightly more.. all down to positioning.
They don't check the baby.. they listen in to hb to keep you happy and feel you tummy so they know which way up it is laid.. which you can tell yourself by the places the feet are in.. mostly.. DD4 they INSISTED was breech as they could feel a foot on the pubic bone and I knew she wasn't and repeatedly told then that too... I was right.. the foot was on her forehead and her head was in the pelvis.. the other foot was behind her back.
And this was supposedly under the best obs. God help those under the worst!!! They probably expected to give birth to camels and giraffes!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I see sparkles when im in the shower, never when im bathing though, which is weird.
Have just rubbed some clary sgae oil on bump and lower back and am now eating a pinapple, which is helping my sore throat to! Double bonus
Im going to have a bath later with added clary sage oil and then bounce on my ball for a bit.
I hope to at least be woken by BH's tonight...0 -

Your blood pressure is higher when standing and busy than when relaxing and slobbing. In the bath you are relaxed not scrubbing yourself vigourously and also laid in it no doubt so blood pressure will be much lower. No doubt it goes quickly once you are dressed and not rushing about.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
