Hi ladies-Labour vibes to those that need them and good luck to nikkit.
I haven't read all the posts yet so sorry if I've missed something out.
Freebiequennie- Thats a great price for a breast pump.I used points for the tommie tippie bottle warmer and some avent anti-colic bottles aswell as a gorgeous winnie the pooh bottle .
If you manage to get the baby&you mag it has £3 of mini mode-I used it for a mini mode knit style blanket for baby but can be used on any £15 spend on mini mode clothing.
Advice please-Is it worth buying those maternity support cushions-I have severe back pain and coccyx paiin and need one. They are pricey though at £30ish -just wondering if they are worth trying or will a pillow do?Love can tame the wildest0 -

I do buy him a cheesecake every week though cause he loves them
I got 36p back from quidco for doing my asda shopWoohoo! lol
We are the opposite, we'd spend a fortune doing it online cos we'd get amonthly one in (as the free delivery vouchers you have to spend more than £50)
We spend about £25-£35 a week when we go shopping, cos I am good at stoping him buying crap but its a chore lol

Yeah xmas its annoying isnt it when you are trying to think of ways to be nice to them but then they kinda blow it by being pricky to you, I wondered cos i read somwhere once that you had to return to work for a period before yuou could have mat leave again?I dont know anything about it or if tht is in fact true lol

EA your birth plan is coolI Am scared about the sweep, do they do it at the MWs? I just have so much bother getting up on the high bed as it is (it has steps) I cant imagine I am going to look dignied climbing up the bed with no pants on while she does the sweep and NO I NEVER wear skirts? what would I do?

Haha yeah i did, i still have the 4 page one. I called it 'Birth plan in detail' but i might just not bring it with me. I was going to bring both and see which one they wanted to read
To keep it on one page its currently font size 10
Good idea about the cord, i completly forgot about that. OH doesn't want to cut it either so i'll add that it
And i didn't realise about the 5cm thing. I'll ask MW tomorrow, thanks:)
Sonee - I have the V shaped one, i got it fro simply be for £12, but i've seen some chemists have them to for a similar price. And IL's got me one from argos for xmas, cant remember the price though.
But its been a god send, the v-shaped one i take to bed, i put one side between my legs and then hug the other side
Link for V shaped one
OH just came home for dinner, he's gone back to work now0 -
EA this might just be nit picking about your birth plan but you state you don't want to be attached to a monitor - it may be necessary at some point
Otherwise very well statedBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
Yeah you do kindof for at least one day but seeing as i am using holiday entitlement i am thoretically going back to work so it still counts :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Re hangers have you a local £ shop, poundland etc or maybe try asking in NEXT the next time your buying something if they have any going spare ( everytime I buy stuff they seem to want to give me a load of hangers !)
I can recommend NEXT clearance for maternity wear - can be a bit hit and miss but it's local to me so always worth a look - best time to go is when regular NEXT stores are having a sale ( as the clearance store gets all the sale stuff the following week from the retail stores so they need to clear out ) I've had jeans £3 tops £2 vest tops £1

Good idea, i'll add onto the end 'unless it is necessary to do so'.
I only stated it because i dont want to be forced to lay in bed throughout the labouring and want to be active, which i heard isn't possible when your strapped to a machine.
Thank you0 -
Hi all
Thanks for the TKMaxx and Debenhams tip offs, I am going to go to TKmaxx tomorrow and see if they have anything in store as I don't really want to pay the delivery for just one thing.
I'm off work today sick, was rather sick last night about 9.30pm, and am just so so tired and icky so I have told work I have a tummy bug. No way I'd have managed the journey.
In terms of age I am 32 now and will be when I (abw) have the baby, it's my first.
We've been to TK Maxx today - ours had a lot of the stuff in that was on offer online but wasn't as cheap (the moses basket mattress was £7.99 I think - it was £3 online). Was going to get a changing mat but didn't in the end.0
