Haha how funny, I bet they get it all the time though, people saying they don't want to do it/can't do it etc! How annoying about the midwife too, hopefully you can get something sorted asap. Have you had twins before? (Sorry if I've missed it previously!)

Just watched another birth, really must stop or I'll be a soggy mess by the time I leave the house :rotfl: I never cry usually so it's a bit weird to be so overcome - and in 4+ years I've been with OH I've only ever seen him cry once, and that was when he was severely drunk, so should be an amusing moment if we both break out into floods!

I haven't actually seen the blimmin midwife yet, it's the receptionists :rotfl: Thing is, one of them is my friends mum, and I know she would have sorted it straight away but I know she will ask me why on earth I'm having another one :o

Yes, Ive got 5 year old identical twin girls, twins in my family and in OH's :D

He says will be triplets this time :eek:

My ex was a d!ckhead at both my previous births, and the midwives told me so :rotfl: will be nice to go through it with someone supportive this time.

He did say he'd prefer me to do the pool after we watched it on OBEM and he wouldn't like me to have an epidural, because he thinks I could end up crippled. To be fair to him, they did totally mess up my last one, so I agree with him somewhat. Have to see how much the pool actually helps!

I'm hoping to birth in the pool, will let you know what it's like :D SJ did recently with Alfie until they had to be transferred to hospital and said it was brilliant and really rated it :)

Would you like more twins? OH is a twin & they run in his side & he'd love them!

Twins are great. But then I'd have an 8 year old, two 6 year olds, and 2 babies

    Afternoon all xx

Slept till 11:30am :) Had what I deem to be a pretty good nights sleep, only woke up the once which was pretty good.....

Managed to finally watch OBEM, opened up some pretty interesting discussions with DH..... He was going on about the baby drowning in the pool LOL bless him, it was defo an education for him....

Feeling a bit blocked up today sniffly etc, but got a yummy bagguette waiting to be made, so off to do that and then im gonna do some reading I think.....

Convent - 99% of the stuff in that room has been given to us, and once it was all in there I burst into tears thinking about how much other people have done for us, specifically my parents.... I've bought a few bits of clothing and we get to buy all the boring stuff like cot sheets, and breast pads etc LOL

Need to book my 26 week appt for next week or week after. Annoyingly my weeks start on a saturday, and shes only at my gp's on a wednesday so whichever week I pick, Im always gonna be days early or days late LOL

Still got a very active baby on the go, some of the kicks/movements are starting to shock me they are so powerful...... we've finally got a full length mirror in the house as well, and Ive been able to see just how huge my belly and boobs are.... rest of me has pretty much stayed the same.... although my back looks fatter....... weirdly LOL

Kindof - am even jelous of your cupboard cleaning! mind you I think that could be cos am so bored! If I got down on the kitchen floor to clear the cupboards that need doing I'd never get back up lol! I want to get out and do something but so limited, and nop doubt when OH gets home he will just want to chill for which I cant blame him.

On the subject of birth pools my MW said with my spd they may not let me, as you need to be able to get in and out on your own. Im not gonna take my crutches and basically keep schtum, cos there is nothing in my notes about spd. I dont think I'll have any issues either as the only reason I struggle to get out of our bath at home is cos its so small and I get wedged! Now just hope its a) not being refitted when I need it, b) is free! Tho will request a room with corner bath if it is, as they have a few of those and at least that way even if I dont get a water birth I can still use it for pain relief/relaxation.

gym - your birth plan sounds fab, love the apology, really hope I'm not rude too! I'm wondering how noisy I will be, Im not normally a moaner when in pain, but then I'm not usually much or a crier!

oooh I think I really want a waterbirth. Done a search on my hospital and it looks as though it has some birthing pools. It says the rooms are like hotel rooms too with wide screen tvs lol. Is it just me or does that seem a bit of a waste of nhs resources?? Can't wait for tour (in just over a month lol) to see what they're like.

I really wish my tour was sooner though coz I go to a different hospital for all of my antenatal care and it worries me that I won't know where to go in this one if something goes wrong or happens really early. I like to be organised and prepared!

CAFC girl - I'm in the same position where my week starts on a Sunday and see my midwife on a weds. It's worked out that I'm seeing her early, which is good. My 31 week appointment is today when I'm 30 + 3. Hopefully it will continue like that! I'd better go and get ready...need to be there in an hour. Really hope she measures me!
