hmm just found this:
http://lifebegins.channel4.com/parents/mothers/sarah/sarah-and-darren-reflect-on-zacharys-birth/
the lady Sarah saying that Darren's rant at her was the only thing that made her go for it and get the VBAC she wanted - so maybe he wasn't just being horrible after all....0 -
I am hopefully off out soon with Mum. She's taking me to the shops.
Only one day to go...hopefully!!
When I get back I will be cleaning the mirrors and the dining room floor. What joy(!) Come on baby bump!
If you can, pop into mothercare and see if you go into labor in there, they might give you free stuff. lol. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

Can I be cheeky & get you all to have a quick read of my birth plan? Can you spot anything I've missed?
Birth Plan
§ My birth partner is my fianc!. I would like him to accompany me at all times (where possible).
§ Ideally, I would like a water birth with as little intervention as possible.
§ I would prefer not to use any pain relief other than gas and air, and intend to use my own TENS machine until I am able to get into the pool.
§ Should the pool be unavailable, I would still like the process to remain as natural as possible, i.e. no pethidine/epidural, though obviously I cannot be certain this won’t be necessary, so please offer me them if I seem to be struggling to cope!
§ Ideally I would like the cord to be left pulsing until it stops naturally. My partner does not want to cut the cord, nor does he wish to watch the head crowning etc.
§ After the birth, I would like to have skin to skin contact with the baby. Should I not be able to for any reason, my partner would like to.
§ I am happy to have the injection to deliver the placenta, if this is deemed necessary.
§ We would like the baby to have the vitamin K injection.
§ I would like to try breastfeeding as soon as possible, though have been warned that due to the prolactinoma I have, it may not be possible. If it isn’t possible, then I am happy to formula feed.
Should any issues arise during labour, I am happy for any necessary intervention to take place.
Apologies if I'm rude to you at any point during the labour - I promise I'm not normally rude J I'll get my other half to bring you some chocolates when I'm leaving to say thanks & by way of apology if I am horrid!!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
I felt sorry for Joy
Think I'd have lost my marbles after that many days, and she's diabetic and had jabbed so needed to eat & they were farting about, poor woman!
Bathroom is now clean and upstairs hoovered, next job is to tidy the bedroom then I'm going to get dressed and leave the house :jBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
EA - very jelous of you still being able to go to cinema, hope you enjoy it tho.
Kindof - yup thats how baby girl is/was sitting.
guinea - so sorry I missed you from my labour vibes post, hope LO is a nice timely baby
nene - no chance of mothercare giving anything out, they stopped that years ago or all we would have is PG ladies hanging about all day lol, besides there stngy hehe.
So wish we had a shop or something nearby so I could pop out for a little walk. The nearest place is where I work which has Argos, currys, tesco and M&S but thats the best part of a mile and I'd never make it! just a lil corner shop would be nice. No one is visiting either atm as friend is on holHaha My dog is watching Lion Man, he looks facinated! And he isnt barking at the TV which is his normal trick!

got a little bit further with my loony Dr's practice today. I said to them I need a booking-in appointment with the midwife, and they try to give me an appointment at 3pm. Again! I say to them, well I pick the kids up from school 2 miles away at 3.05 so can I have another time please. They then say I can have one in two weeks  at 4pm!
Explain very patiently, Pick children up at 3, alternative childcare not available, not taking children to booking in appointment as am not ready to tell the world yet, discretion is not the strong point of primary school children! and if I wait another 2 weeks I could potentially be then be over 16 weeks and with history of twins is important I get seen to, no?
Then they finally say, well we only get the midwife on a tuesday, shes in the converted stable block (surgery is in an old building) perhaps if i popped in to talk to her she could arrange to come and see me at home, and she does the booking in appointments last.
Why they couldn't tell me that on the phone and actually explain instead of keeping on telling me only 3pm appointments
Sorry. Rant overMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Just watched Joy's birth on 4od and admittedly cried a bit! I seriously dread to think how emotional I'm going to be when I'm doing it myself, me and OH will be bawling :rotfl:
Thanks Delain - OBEM has scared me into thinking I'm going to be horribly rude against my better judgementBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

I cry a lot :rotfl::rotfl:
In fact, when I had DD1 (she got stuck, Id had en epidural so kept dosing off after 3 hours  pushing!) when the midwife, wrongly, imo, told me to stay awake and keep pushing, I said:
'No, I dont want to do this, I want to go home now':o:o
