Honestly struggling to think of what to get Rhys for Christmas. Have got some toys but they're things I would have bought anyway iyswim
He's obviously just spoilt..
Have ordered the letters for his bedroom wall (6" high wooden ones, spelling out his name) tonight, and thinking of a special teddy as he hasn't actually got a proper special one, just little soft toys that he's drooled all over
Left OH searching for the "bear" and he likes this.. dog  (I like it too but it's not a bear!)0 -
try thinking of stuff for a 2nd child! it was hard enough the first time but now Ed has everything Chris had (which was way more than he needed!)
have you asked/bought books? I think u said you'd got books though??0 -
Just popping in to say Hello! Really hate using OH's PC!
My charger still hasn't arrived, was apparently sent out on the 23rd, I was told it would deffo be here today, well it didn't come! I did go out at lunch time but there wasn't a slip through the door, though delivery people are notorious round here for just not bloody bothering to do that at all! I just want my laptop back on!! Want to make sure there isn't a problem with the connector for the charger ON the laptop if you get what I mean, cause that will cost loads to fix, it IS apple afterall.
Nothing much been happening on my end, well I did manage to electrocute myself fiddling around with fuse's. That hurt like a bobbin. Keira now owns sparkly red dorothy from wizard of oz type shoes, to add to her collection of sparkly shoes. Her feet better not grow anytime soon! She has 5 pairs of sparkly shoes now, she needs more clothes to co-ordinate with it though. What goes with red shoes?
We took her to a castle at the weekend which was good fun, we also went to an expensive place to eat (£7 for a kids meal!) but she actually ate her whole haddock, and 3 peas! I couldn't believe it. Shame that, I fancied eating her leftovers, I was still hungry after my burger!
Got some new clothes today in town, a jumper, jumper dress and a dress for OH's work party, it's really nice, though a bit booby, I hope they don't fall out, people might see my chicken skin. Got it for £10 down from £40, tis V nice! Was helping my sister to find a dress for her to go to her bfs party but she has put on a lot of weight, and in a weird place, like underneath her (MAHOOOSIVE) boobs, so its proving to be quite difficult finding her something that she actually likes, and within a reasonable price range, I wish she would stop picking up bandage type dresses, they do her no favours, or anyone who has a bit of podge.
Big post.
Hope everyone and all babies are doing good, I don't think ill manage to catch up, been about 400 pages since I last posted. Blabbermouths!
((hugs)) to anyone who might need or want one (don't worry, I washed 3 weeks ago!)
Oh and Em, I had a dream about your FB status, about your cats licking each others nutsacks. Was well minging, but I couldn't stop laughing throughout the day thinking about kitty number one, having a lick and feel of kitty number 2s :rotfl:0 -
I've spent most of my evening on my knees getting wet...
But now the freezer is completely defrosted... I've made two portions of shepherd pie, one for tomorrow night, one to freeze and there's a slow cooker full going overnight...
To tired to catch up... Off to bed...
Night all...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Ooh helioo button!
Elle I've seen those before - vile!
Just had to pass on this comment left on the ammerican 'mom' site I vist
" If only more people would actually stop pretending they are true believers, if only people would make believers feel shame for believing in bronze age beliefs, if only people would realize they only believe because they were indoctrinated at a young age by their parents who didn’t do it maliciously but did it none the less because they themselves were indoctrinated by their parents, maybe then the world would finally wake up from the stupidity and outright sham religion is, was and will be, and make the world a better place. Indoctrinating your children into any religion equals child abuse, of the worst kind."
yep bringing your kids up with religion is child abuse of the worst kind, much worse than say beating them :rolleyes:0 -

Yup, my sister is "taking care of books", apparently..
Just been talking to OH. We have a challenge.. each have to buy Rhys three small useful presents for under £10 - no conferring and we don't find out what the other bought until xmas day. Who's the child here?!
I've thought of two of my three already, but all suggestions gratefully received!
Thought these were funny.. one for the little boys!0 -

Anyone wanna play with an insomniac?

no-one?
Oh ok then:)
Here are some questions for when you awake...
I'm trying to think of a special event which also ends in a gift and involves 3 generations (a bit like: Grandma, mummy and baby all go to a ceramics and craft cafe, put hand prints on a ceramic plate and it gets glazed and fired and presented to grandma)
Here are the criteria:
- It's for a woman's 60th birthday (so maybe including the number 60 somewhere?)
- Baby will be 11 months old
- middle generation one is Daddy
- Budget is not enormous
- kind of need the finished product to be ready while you wait, as is travelling some distance and event won't be til actual birthday IYSWIM?
- can't be going to a photoshoot or end in a photograph
elle, that link is so sad. I can't understand what mum would accept money to have their baby modelling this on the internet... Tears came into my eyes for that baby....
Right, as I'm up, I'll do some more christmas decorating
Jillie, I was meaning to say to you but multi quote let me down: Sorry if you already know this, but before going ahead with the life insurance suggested by your IFA please check that neither you or OH have a lump sum payment plus dependant's pension given to you through your pension provider if you have one. We mistakenly have been paying out twice to cover the same eventuality without realising, and our IFA knew we had pensions but didn't make this very clear. Approximately £4000 total in kickbacks for him may have rendered him a little less impartial
Why were we doing a missing in action list last night? Is it to let everyone know they're loved? Or are we worried about something? ( I know people were worried about feely, thanks scruffy for letting us know she's ok) Sorry to ask it in a blunt way I'm just worried I've missed something important
.
I'm not meaning that to sound critical of doing a list, I think it's really caring and lovely. I was just concerned that if anyone felt like they HAD to then it might be a bit much for us?
Sometimes I have a spell where I don't post, I guess I just want to say that I know everyone here loves me and I know you're all there when I come out of hibernation. I think I work on the assumption that's what most of us do?
Sometimes people let us know they won't be checking in for a bit, which is really thoughtful. My perspective though is that's not something people have to do though.
I don't know... Just my ramblings. Be interested in your thoughts.
SS If those daddy t-shirts are still available and the fairies haven't found a more worthy cause then I'd love to help with the decluttering
Oh! and while I remember- insider sources (v reliable) told me that HSBC are waiting til new year and then releasing a new cash incentive current account - £50 on opening, needing £500 going in each month. Might be worth hanging on then switching, especially if you've exhausted Alliance and Leicester/First direct and are frustrated by the speed of transactions
Love to you all xxx
