ooh seth did that sleep regression thing, but we moved when he was 4 months old so we thought it might have been him being disturbed? he suddenly started waking for feeds having slept through since he was 6-7 weeks old, we didnt know what hit us - really hard second time round!!

the only thing i'd worry about weezl is if they are reliable enough to do it, and if you could claim childcare tax credits because you wouldnt be able to if they werent registered.

a friend of mine offered to look after seth for me for £40 a week which would have been a saving of £23 a week for me so very tempting, but she lived a distance i would have had to drive to and then drive back to work as i live in working distance of my work, and it wasnt worth it once the tax credits were worked out either. but obviously the distance thing isnt an issue for you, i know you have a mansion but i wouldnt think you'd have to drive next door ;)

TMI alert again, poop has occured, apparantly strong tea helps!

I'm wondering about my neighbour... She has a 15 month old daughter and has thought about offering child minding as there's a lack of welsh speaking CMs....

Anyone think of anything I need to be aware of when thinking of neighbour as CM?

    xxx
just consider that if you pay her she needs to register with tax etc
I'm not sure if she would also need to register with the council too? if so she would have to complete some courses in first aid etc.
The biggest 'risk' I would think if she isn't/wasn't registered is lack of crb check, insurance and a formal contract.

edit - and as Emlou said you can't claim WTC help if not using registered childcare

Em, are you thinking about the 8month review and the bookstart freebies? When I took Caitlyn to be weighed last week they told me they aren't doing 8month reviews round here because we don't have a health visitor... I made sure I got my bookstart bag before I left there... I wasn't going to miss out just because they're offering half a service ;)

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

*adds dredging through junk folder to the never ending list of things to do*

i'm a little shocked, not cos of what i've seen but because of "todays climate", got the good food channel+1 on and gary rhodes is cooking in grenada and there were naked toddlers rolling in the sand and playing in the sea not covered up or blurred out at all, thats a bit dodgy these days isnt it!
