I don't post as often as I used to. I'm busy with work, uni, puppies, children etc., and I just can't keep up with the thread as it moves so fast. I sometimes can't remember who has what children, especially if it's not on their sig :o

I do glance in and comment where I can, but it's hard to keep up with everything that is going on.

I'm glad you pop in, and don't feel you have to read pages back to make a really good contribution :)

Agree about the sig... Perhaps mine should have the new arrival in there...

Re: religious instruction as child abuse. Yes, I think that's a really extreme thing to say, and that as susan said it's probably a reaction to an extreme situation which we don't have here. DH and I are trying to think what spirituality we'd like to share with Fergus and how to go about it. We're both quite private about these things and lots of things set up for parents to do with their children feels like you've got to be quite extrovert about your faith/religion to do them with your kids! :)

choppy, sorry you've had a sleep set-back. We've found it harder once he's older, I think I was more prepared for it to be hard at first, but then that we'd get more sleep and that things would be more predictable. But alas no! So sympathy hugs from me. And I'm sure it's a phase and it will pass! :)

Fitz, hang in there. I really hope your mum sees sense soon. She has a lot to lose if it's depriving her of these early times with Holly :(

If you were to get a nice teddy bear, more for display than playing with, where would you look?

Do you have a 'Build a Bear Factory' near you. I am sure thats where our friend got one for Henry from and it had the year he was born on the bottom of his foot or it might have been Marks and Spencers.

Chopsticks - Have you heard of the 4 month sleep regression, could it be that? Maybe slightly late but babies do all things when it suits them, it means they wake more at night because they're making so much developmental progress that the don't rest as peacefully? My sisters just gone through it with her baby and he did it for 4 weeks and then went back to sleeping through
I hadn't noticed until Hypno said this but Edgar did that^^!

Ed is rather grumpy at the moment with this cold, sounds awful 1st thing but once he's covered me in loads of snotty sick he feels better :D he's rolling like crazy now too! he's growing up too quick
Chris appears to be getting the last of his teeth too; bright red cheeks, whiney whinginess and I'm sick of telling him to get his fingers out of his mouth!!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

SS If those daddy t-shirts are still available and the fairies haven't found a more worthy cause then I'd love to help with the decluttering ;)

Yours! My fairies are departing sometime today or tomorrow to the US so I'll divert the ones who seem the most tired and send them your way instead :)

betcha need that saturday to recover?!;)

I work on thursdays in one of my jobs and will be doing another day a week ish at my salaried job so I don't have to start my maternity leave ridiculously early. So roughly thursdays and mondays. My mum is happy having fergus at the moment and when he gets a bit much, will give me notice and bring my dad too until I can find an alternative :)

I'm wondering about my neighbour... She has a 15 month old daughter and has thought about offering child minding as there's a lack of welsh speaking CMs....

Anyone think of anything I need to be aware of when thinking of neighbour as CM?

    xxx
