  • Oh, forgot to say - Izzy has been climbing today :) She has a little chair and she has been climbing on and off it and then standing up when she gets on top.

Welcome back Bruno. We missed you. Did you have authentic Belgian hot chocolate served with a little saucer of sweets?

Hot choc is a bit sweet for me and I drank coffees, but OH did indeed :) she was overwhelmed with joy at the fancy one we had, which was hot frothed milk, and then a separate saucer of dark molten chocolate which you poured in "to taste" (i.e. all of it) and then stirred in. She described it as 'the most decadent thing she has ever drunk'. My coffee was only average

We have a vast amount of chocolate here now, having taken the Thornton's hamper offer, then unable to resist all sorts of Belgian purchases... must find good homes for it all!

Oh I remember what I was going to say... My Hubby is one of those that needs a bit of 'me time' when he gets in... By which time I'm desperate to hand responsibilty over to him... I keep telling him his me time is the 90min bus journey home but he won't have it... I envy him that 90mins alone sitting with nothing to do sometimes...
I wonder if it's a man thing to need set aside time to wind down? Now OH is working late shifts, he gets in about 10.30 and we normally aim to be in bed around ten so I reckoned he should just go straight to bed (which is what I would do) but he says he needs at least half an hour to wind down. I pointed out he'll have had half an hour driving home but he siad that that doesn't count presumably because he is still actually doing something so can't switch off.

I will just say poor you AM, it doesn't rain but it pours - I hope baby sickness and eye clear up fast at least, to leave you free to concentrate on sorting out accommodation and important things! And, 3, what an unpleasant situation to be in, houseful of sick people always awful, I shudder to imagine it when most of them are children who NEED YOU ! And SS, fingers crossed for your OH, must be a horrible position to be in, when they decided to keep him in did they say when the next steps would be, or next review, or anything like that?
What he said but I'm not as good as putting those kinds of things into words.

Jasmine didnt do any of that, she would lay on her tummy and lift herself up but never onto her knees, or she would lay on hr back and use her feet to push herself round the floor. Never crawled, just spontaneously stood up one day !!!

Oh yeah, he does that. Keeps pushing himself off the top of the change mat, mid-change  Lifts his head/chest/elbows clear off the floor and brings his knees up then yells cos he can't get anywhere.. :o

Michael never crawled, he did a backwards frogfish thing till he walked. Christopher didn't crawl either, we had to teach him to crawl.

The fish tank is still boggin but I can't do anything else with it.
